same, except I cheated and got that bounty in about 15 minutes of killing poor gamblers in reaper's march. or was it 30? i cannot remember, not too much, mostly waiting for re-spawns. oh yeah, I did it twice, first time for gold edict, second time to unlock the feloneous scales of recompense.

I just... hate getting caught, so I will rather spend more time waiting on that right moment where no one can see me :P call it being in character (what kind of a master thief would my bosmer murder child be if she kept getting caught that much? :P )

7k ish was my highest when i went on a murder spree. Usually i dont make it over 1k. Mine drops off pretty fast. Its interesting some go to great lengths to avoid being caught. It seems some NPCs have eyes in the back of their head and others can see through walls/large objects while some are so blind you can BoW someone right in front of them and they dont see.

Others get caught but go to great lengths to avoid guards which is a real pain imo. Me, i just do my thing and avoid guards while doing it. When ive had my fill if i have a bounty i port back to shrine with easy access to a thieves den. Fence and launder, then if i still have a bounty and want to go back into cities, i just go slap a guard. Actually, i only do that if im in a hurry to get rid of bounty. Otherwise ill practice stealing from guards, and murdering people in close proximity to guards...you know... to test the waters.

Anyway, i get killed, respawn at the shrine and go on about my business.

How do you people get rid of such obscene bounties? Do you have 100 millions of gold in your banks so it's like a pocket money to pay it iff?

These are pretty rough estimates, but you get around 20% of your bounty as stolen loot - at least based on what I farm, and supposing you loot everything (including white stolen items).

Can you explain what this means? How can 12 million gold worth of bounty can pay for something?

I went to 100k Bounty purposely in attempt to get that 100k Bounty Paid Achievement BUT the 100k Leniency Edict you get from completing the Thieves guild does not count toward bounty paid, it basically just erases your bounty... So idk what the point of that edict is... Or why anyone would go beyond that just for ****s and Giggles...

I think 100k gold would be better

I think I've had a few hundred, when I was going through the Thief Guild or Dark Brotherhood questline.

@Kiralyn2000 I just straight-up murder (in plain sight, no sneaking) people in an area with no guards. I actually find the fact I now have to think about sneaking anywhere that does have guards on that character very entertaining I used to just try not to get caught but I got curious and.. well.. this.

94K because I killed recklessly. But normally I don't get more than 5K, rarely 10K. I get caught seldomly and stop killing when I've gotten 140 items for fencing. And the 94K one was cleared with TG gold scroll so I ended up paying nothing

PS: got the achievement with almost no bounty just looting containers for 10 minutes every day

I don't kill NPC's very often, but when I do my thieving sprees where I go into Skywatch or Windhelm and just pickpocket everyone madly, sometimes that's gotten me up to 10-15k, but then it goes away too fast, so the next day it's back at 0

I got Ledgermain high enough fencing looted items to spec into light fingers, then started pickpocketting. Killing NPCs gives only an object, but pickpocketting them gives 3 (or more if they are in Vvardenfell since style stone fragments count for less). Usually the last one is the best quality.

I pride myself in not getting seen. Highest I ever got was just over 2K. Total paid to guards: 39 gold / to fences: 2934 gold. I have around 100 each of the 500g and 2000g edicts sitting in my 2 criminals invs, I rarely need to use them. Really wish we could sell those things

Got bored, remembered I had faster than sprint speed while crouching and shadow cloak for a backup, went on a murder spree with the blade of woe on the beach at Vulkhel Guard with my main. The guards are actually really easy to avoid once you get used to it. Got to about 500k while I was just unrelatedly chatting with my friends before I got bored.

157k. Used the 100k writ and didnt get the acheivement so I got it up to 100k again in retaliation and logged off. Took 10 days to get the bounty to 0 without writs.

Yeah, I have all the passives too. I got to about 300k fenced the stealthy way with very little/no bounty, but I found murder sprees and having to avoid guards more entertaining About to finish the achievement tomorrow. Hurrah!

The only reason why I started to loot thieves troves was to get the bounty reducing items from them to be able to do the Dark Brotherhood quests That and levelling up Legerdemain. Before that I easily got to 10-15k in the first Dark Brotherhood quest after meeting the Speaker.

I typically get around 5k-20k bounty a day, right before I go to bed. Usually lose it by the time I log on next day but if there's any left and I don't feel like sneaking around, it goes towards the achievement to pay off 100k bounty. I don't remember exactly what the most I've gotten was but it was <100k.
