Returning to ESO - Need advice on class

I've been gone from ESO for a long while and decided I want to play it a bit again while I wait for more interesting releases (like Pillars 2). I assume there has been a lot of changes the last year and a bit, so I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on the sort of character I want to play.

I want to run a stamina focused melee fighter with 2-handed weapons, and wondered which of the 4 basegame classes (haven't bought, and probably won't either, Morrowind) would be best suited for this.

Edit: I would appreciate some info on other skills that are useful for this archetype as well, like armor choice etc.

DK works very well right now for stamina (poison based with strong dots).
Sorcerer also can be fun to play (physical/storm based).

Warden I personally find fun as a stamina melee DPS.

    stamina sorcerer.

I think its one of the more interesting classes to play. I use a dual wield/bow setup but i know a 2 hander/bow set up works well too.
If you want a baseline... look at alcasts site. He is very helpful in giving some startup gear options if you can't get the items from the difficult content. The link below is for PVE... he has plenty of other options for PVP.

In that case your best options will likely be dragonknight or templar, sorceror is also decent, nightblade is more dependent on snekay backstabs then in your face two-hander charges.

Dragonknight has some nice poison based stamina morphs to their class skills, and a really neat selfheal with GDB, as well as a couple passives that support stamina play.

Templar is more suited to slightly hybrid setups, since they do like magica to power their stuff... but even as pure stamina build they have the neccessary morphs and passives to be nifty.

Sorceror is quite doable as well, though a lot of the passives and skills are more tailored towards a magica character... but they -are- quite fun to play, and stamina characters are less dependent on class skills anyhow.

As mentioned, stamina nightblades are more sneaky backstabbers then melee fighters, so they may not be the best choice for what you seem to be looking for... though if you want some "rogue" character, that would be the way to go!

Two-handed is a good selection for PvP, and decent enough for most PvE content (as long as you don't feel the need to be "the best at what you do"), I would support it with medium armor to lessen the heavy attacks for resource management you would need (since the damage shield from brawler will do wonders for your survivability anyhow) - and as secondary weapon, bow would be a decent choice for the times when you might want to go all range, or dual wield if you like to keep it melee... heavy armor is also doable, for a "slow and steady" approach, and then you might want to go for one-handed & shield as secondary for the times when you want to get full tanky... it depends on your preferred playstyle, do you want to cut them down fast, or outlast your opponents?

Excuse me? Magplar is not weak in pvp now. Very tanky at least, lack bit dmg only.
