Yeah but the thing i like about heavy is the costitution passive(magica return =very helpfull as Ww) and the healing received passive(+8%) not really the resistances.

The thing is that the WW form is extremely offensive. Transform and kill the enemy before he recovers from the shock that yes, werewolves are actually real in PvP.

Once you get into a lengthy mud slinging match, the WW will lose simply because he only has 5 abilities while his enemy has 12. The lack of utility will be your undoing. Therefore sustain is not as important for a WW as the raw damage output. Finish your fights fast, or not at all. I found that medium armor serves me better for this role than heavy. And i've been using heavy for a long time before, because i felt too squishy in medium even in WW form, until i started to use the pirate skeleton/lord warden combo.

This is a great thread, I hope it stays alive a long long time. Personally, for me, I am having a really hard time which mix of sets to use. Right now im leaning towards shacklebreaker with seventh legion or Shackle with Bone Pirate's Tatters. Or Mechanical Acuity and some such to really utilize the iceheart monster set.

What are some of the sets you guys are using and why? I really am lost on what to focus my farming efforts on.

Shacklebreaker and Seventh Legion would do well together! Our Flawless werewolf guild leader has used Shacklebreaker for a long time and has tested out Seventh Legion. He prefers another set as opposed to that one but Shacklebreaker is one of his.

Oh? Whats the other set he likes instead of Seventh?

@Qbiken - thanks for that, I actually pointed this out to my misses since she is a stamplar werewolf.

@ScardyFox In his medium build, he used Salvation and Mighty Chudan. That is his Flawless Conquerer build. Since then, he’s gone a little tankier with all heavy Shacklebreaker, Black Rose, and Troll King.

Weapon passives does not carry over in WW-form. That includes Twin-Blade-Blunt Passive as well. Would be nice if it did but atm it doesn´t.

I think WW is an unexploited area for theorycrafting (maybe it's just me). Finally I decided to go on my stamblade for Way of Air as a set to pair with Ravager (you know, 'coz Airwolf xD), due to the extra stam recovery it has

But it turned to be an intersting approach. The dodgeroll imprves both, spell and wpn dmg and paired with major brut and ravager increases your wpn dmg a lot (overv 1K)

Nevertheless, now I'm thinking on 3 more builds that use elemental dmg that could work:

1- Storm wolf: Using Way of Air and thunderbug's on a stam sorc. Great proc and the chance of concusion. Can build some decent spell dmg and shock glyphs with infused seem great.

2- Fire claws wolf: Using Way of Fire (of course) and something else ona DK (ravager, tormentor, embershield, sunderflame)... Remember D2 Druid Bart, he's back, in pog form (flame glyphs)

3- Jon Snow (xD): Using Air/ravager/pelinal's and Ice Furnace on a DK? That one depends on if Ice Furnace procs on frost glyphs
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

*Ww For the entire fight duration

I find magsorcs to be the easiest opponents to deal with, since the best counter to shields is high amount of weapon damage (which you´ll have a lot of as a werewolf).

    * Make sure to always have Claw of Anguish + Light Attack Bleed up against the sorc.

    * Make sure to CC/fear the magsorcs as soon as the CC-immunity runs out. After a break free that will be around 6 seconds if I recall it correctly. If he´s using Immovable pots that duration will be 15 seconds (can be hard to keep track on but you´ll notice if you can´t CC/fear him).

    * If a sorc tries to run away try to keep leaping after them, the cost for a magsorcs using streak repeatedly will be more costly to them compared to you using your leap/pounce repeatedly. And as soon a magsorcs is out of magicka he´s literally dead.

    * Cheese tactic is to equip shieldbreaker (aka cheesebreaker) and spam your light attacks in WW-form, but be prepared for rage whispers. But hey, sometimes you need cheese to fight cheese.

Yeah average sorcs that works i find those easy to kill aswell. But the experienced ones(not to mention using immovable pots) are painful to kill.. . To shorten this= skillevel = bunnyhopping around rocks level if you catch the meaning

Sorry if i was misleading. I was not talking about WW in general but about a specific scenario that included transforming mid-fight. What i meant by "possibly" axebleed is that the bleed is possibly already on the target when i transform(since that's often the case).

Remeber that werewolf light attacks are absolutely lethal. On the right build your light attacks are enough to melt most enemies.

This is where werewolf true sustain comes from. Don't spam your howls like a madwolf, work them down with light attacks first. When the opportunity arises hit them with your howls or fears depending on the opponent.

I´ve been playing around with Pelinial + Prisoner for a while now and really like having those 15k crit-heals in Cyrodil :)

However, without Pelinial the healing capacities for a WW becomes slightly more limited, and I was wondering if there´re other ways to work around not using Pelinial. I know Trollking + Lingering HP pots are good, but it doesn´t help you with that huge burst heal that you sometimes really need (because lets face it, fighting a WW that constantly going from 30% to 100% HP with 1 or 2 heals is really annoying xD )

Troll King is still good to use. ErtTheWolf uses it and has mastered its healing capabilities. Once Trollking is active with a lingering health potion, it will stay active even if you go above the 50% mark with your regular heal. Also put champion points into healing done and healing received. Both will strengthen your heal.
