I'm of two minds on this. On the one hand, I've only run one dungeon so far because I've been away from home since the event began. I didn't get anything worth mentioning in the one box I've received. On the other hand, free is free, so as long as the event is running as expected, I really don't have any right to complain.

The event motivated me to dust off some old characters and give them decent builds and equipment. Along with some skill points for dungeon completion and Undaunted faction points for these toons I got me three CWC furniture plans so far, two greens and one purple.

Not too shabby and not a disappointment to me, my expectations were extremely low though, so that's not saying much.

I didn't have high hopes for the event so I can't really be disappointed? In the end I did get the treasure hunter costume (which is honestly really cool) and the chef and I'm happy with those.

I'm disappointed that I'm not disappointed.

What I mean by that is that the only reason my drops are good is the extreme difficulty of getting Clockwork City furnishing recipes by any other means.

Main reason for me is the horridly bugged grouping tool even with a full made group. Thank god that I played only on the first day, I cannot bring myself to such garbage for another. ZOS can keep their event gifts as far as I am concerned, I will play only if guild mates and friends need to fill a slot. I'd much rather die to proc sets in Cyrolaag or just grind zombies in Coldharbour.

I just preffer events where I can get reward for working harder on it, here with this event it just feels like no matter how hard I try it depends on getting LUCKY kind of thing... which we have everyday when doing Trials/Dungs/Opening undaunted chests to get that 1 piece u want... so ye event doesn't feel like event at all, it feels more like our everyday game time here with additional RNG implemented to make us feel bad for not getting what we want.

On a scale from one to ten, I'd give it maybe a six at most. That is taking into consideration that it was never meant to be a particularly fancy event like the Halloween or Christmas stuff.

Functionally, the event is fine. It's a simple and straight forward "lets give people incentive to do random dungeons for a while". The problem is the loot table is a bit too diluted with stuff like crown potions or ordinary treasure maps that you can find a crapload of just playing normally. So you need a number of alts just to give yourself a chance at something as simple as one of the costumes.

Getting a extra reward for content I was going to do anyway ...how can anyone be mad at that?
I was expecting things to be like they are, anyway. I saw someone post this event is like the lottery. That's pretty much what it's like. 99% of the time, you get nothing or very little. Stop thinking you're going to win the jackpot. You'll be better off..

I've ran this on 14 characters everyday since the event started and have only gotten a single pet, the mastiff. No costumes or mounts. Super jealous of everyone who has ran less and has gotten all the costumes already. ):

I'm very disappointed in this event. As people have mention it was marketed as if you would get ANYTHING that has been in the crown store since the crown store opened. However, what we actually got was just a boat load of disappointment.

The argument that can be had is that "It's free, so it really doesn't matter", but the counter argument is that they hyped this event and got people excited to play the game only to get disappointed when they did not get as advertised. Its one thing to get a mystery box with a one-time use dye, but when you get something stupid like a single undaunted key and a lock-pick (which I have personally received 3 times), then something is really amiss. ZOS should have been more up front with what we would receive instead of how that advertised this. If they said you would get X and have a chance to get Y and Z, then I would be cool with it.

Yucking up, ZOS. Seriously.

I didn't get anything of great value, no costume yet but just few keys, crown repair kits and crown dyes, but I'm still happy and don't complain. I got these for free and it's all that matters. Why should I complain for a bad RNG when I'm fully aware how the system works. You either are lucky or not, this time I wasn't.
Wasn't expecting Grant Topal Hideway to win with my 10-th box .
But I keep waiting for my chance, keep playing.

The best thing I got was 2 Undaunted plunder.

Other than that, one blue and one green Clockwork furnishing plans, a couple of dye stamps, a Stros M'Kai treasure map, two of the same Betnikh treasure maps, a Crown mimic stone... and at that point I gave up. Not worth queuing even one of my 5 toons kitted out to do dungeons.

I hope they have that event again next year that had lots of motifs.
