Waifu
A term coined by Otaku and Weeaboo alike for their 2D significant others; predominantly anime and video game characters. A Waifu, in contrast to a harem, is the love between one man and his one and only Waifu. You treat your Waifu with the utmost respect and courtesy and most refuse to even *** to their beloved, seeing the act as an insult to the non-existent woman they have committed themselves to.
A spin-off term "Husbando" followed for Fujioshi who feel similarly towards male characters.
Who is best grill and waifu of ESO? Also, why is it that you feel this way?
For me personally, it is the little Bosmer lady in Elden Root who happens to be a clothier. She’s so perfect and well-spoken... If only I could have her added to my house as a maid. Q_Q

I agree with you. Elden Root's clothier is the finest bosmer lady I have ever met.

Waifus are best girls, but best girls are not always waifus.Best Girl is slang used by anime or manga fans to describe an individual’s favorite female character. The term usually goes hand-in-hand with the term waifu.

Annoying term for girl. Being a girl myself, I have been called a grill a lot.

Why would people ask what a "waifu" is in this thread when Urbandictionary.com exists? Genuinely curious. It's not as if typing "www.urbandictionary.com" and then "waifu" takes an inordinate amount of time.

For one thing, it emphasizes the use of an uncommon word that one has to go to the Urban dictationary to define. Additionally, if one person says what it is, everyone else can save the effort of looking up some obscure "nerd-speek" word.
For the record, I looked up both "waifu" and "weebanese" on urbandictionary.com
