Personally I enjoy both. I'd love to see an oldschool version be a mount choice one day for the hell of it though. Now THAT's a mount reskin I'd put some $$$ into.Alchemical wrote: »I wanted to collect all the Guar mounts, and was within reach to obtain this goal, when my internet got disconnecting during the Shadowhide guar's short sale period. Ih well, Zeni's loss.
I've always loved Guar, though I find their ESO redesigns lack a lot of what made me fall in love with them back in the day.
Look at this good, sweet, potato lizard. What a handsome boy, loves to smile.
and then there's the new guar
Much angry! Scary teeth. Probably steps on caterpillars for fun.
I complain about the redesign from time to time because I feel like, unlike a lot of redesigns, making the guar look like angry bipedal snakes is against the spirit of the originals. But I still love them and their lumpy little gait the most of all the mounts. Wouldn't trade mine for the world.

That would be AMAZING.Alchemical wrote: »I keep hoping they'll make a pack guar assistant, like a banker, only a guar with a lil backpack, like in Morrowind.
I don't care that I already own the banker, I'd buy it again for pack guar version.

At 60 speed, those chicken legs pumping away make guars look like the Roadrunner. Beep! Beep!
