Saving Duplicate Gold Jewelry

So this is a simple post that I felt like making about jewelry crafting... it's about saving all those gold necklaces and rings and not selling/destroying them. You know all those gold Eternal Yokudan necks and rings you always get? It might be a great idea to hold onto to those and put them in a alts bag because if we ever get jewelry crafting you're going to wish you had saved them. You could just decon the heck out of all those and get yourself tons of gold jewerly improvement materials :)

Or sell them now and make some gold and worry about jewelry mats when it's an actual thing in-game ...

You have enough free inventory space to store piles of currently useless jewelry in prospect of a jewelry crafting system that isn't even confirmed to be coming? Must be nice.

I simply don't have the room for a duplicate jewelry set.

In addition, you have to consider the long term ... where ZOS might change the gear cap at some point down the road. Short term, a change in the game or to the set itself could make it obsolete.

My opinion would be to sell it and use the gold for something that won't sit idle in your bank.

LOL. I've vendored literally hundreds. If I didn't I would have no space.

Jewelry crafting hasn't even been announced. It's far off in the future, and we don't know if they even still have plans for it or if those plans have been scrapped. And if the system they have in mind even includes the possibility of decon. Telling people to waste their inventory space to save things that might be useful a year or more down the line is just ridiculous.

In any case, they're easy enough to get, and it would be at least a month and a half of advanced notice. I imagine once it is announced, there will be a rush of people doing quick runs of the easy and fast vet trials to get jewelry.

The system was already in the game, but way back in alpha. With everything changing rapidly in the game I wouldn't doubt it if we get spellcrafting next year for the next "morrowind" type update. We also never thought we were getting trait changes, but we are and that wasn't in the system at all.

Only way for players to get gold jewelry in game atm is PvP Vendor which is expensive, Tel Var Vendor (also expensive), Guild Traders (could be expensive), and easiest is Vet Trials. I bet when jewelry crafting does come out the gold mats will be so hard to get. We can have up to 12 alts with what 200 bag space each? What else are you using your bag space for? tons of useless gear sets? lol not to mention doubled bank space now with eso plus. For BOE items or anything like that, just create a guild let it die and have a personal guild bank, i have 4. I've got enough bag space to collect hundreds and I would still be fine. If you can't save things like that then obviously you shouldn't worry about it and just buy my mats later down the road xD

Anyways, when it comes out I'll be selling some gold mats :) so come holler at me xD

Considering the rate of getting gold mats from deconstruction, you think it's a good use of inventory space to save, let's say 40 gold jewels, to get like 25 gold upgrade mats? Lol ok then

sure why not? the jewelry to be deconstructed would be useless anyways

The only thing left in the game that I can recall that haven't been talked about is portable crafting stations and jewelry crafting and both were in the game. Everything else that has ever been talked about is coming or is still in the works.

I was just saying it might be a good idea so save the useless ones for the future. I went ahead and put those keywords in bold so hopefully no one else will misunderstand.

I think with it being far off, saving them wouldn't be for everyone, but it wouldn't be a bad idea for those who can afford to do that.

If you're the type to have a healer, DD, and tank, and a bunch of sets for different occasions, it might not be necessary. As someone mentioned, they'll most likely announce it in advance, and then you can collect what you can depending on how much room you have.

Personally, I have one character with max bag space, max bank space and ESO+, and I mostly do overland content. 480 bank slots, and 200 inventory slots is more than enough for just her, so I keep any purple jewelry I get in my bank. If it ever gets announced, I'll stop vendoring green and blue in case it works like some of the others where the first levels seem to have an inspiration cap.

I'd say a general plan would be:
    1. If you need it, keep it. Otherwise...
    2. If you can get a decent profit in a guild trader, sell it. Otherwise...
    3. If you have the bank space, keep it.
    4. If you don't have the bank space, or end up running out of bank space later, vendor them from lowest quality to highest.

Be the smart guy lol. It is very easy to create a pack mule character specifically for this.

This was the same idea I had for Shadows of the Hist dungeon armor - as soon as the motifs released and I had 50+ of each style mat :)

There's no point to saving it. Pre-Summerset jewellery isn't deconstructable.

    Here.
Hey everyone, wanted to clear a few things up for you. Summerset is required to use any Jewelry Crafting Stations found in Tamriel. If you don’t own Summerset, you will still be able to find Jewelry Crafting resource nodes to sell, and you will also be able to purchase crafted jewelry from others. Set jewelry will be BoE, non-set will not be bound. Additionally, you will not be able to deconstruct any jewelry you're currently holding onto prior to Summerset launch.

We're currently working on a very extensive Jewelry Crafting article that we plan to publish before we start the next PTS cycle, which will hopefully answer a lot more questions.

Edit: Nvm I see that you saw.

    Hello everyone,
