Actually. Most people want the guild trader system revamped. Something in-between what we have and a global auction house. Anyone that argues for the status quo is either an apologist or has no idea what they are talking about. The current system is broken af.16 -

Most players agree the current AH system is awful, and ZoS just ignores the pleas to make it better. Lol you are underestimating their laziness. When the community developer known as Miat decided that stealth was too powerful in PvP and wrote an addon to re-balance the game himself, ZOS did next to nothing.
So if ZOS lets Miat balance PvP, (since Wrobel cannot) then why not let the community fix the broken guild trader system?8 -

Hmmm, I could see it being unreliable as people with buyer's/seller's remorse renege on their proposed transaction, or players don't log on for a few days and forget to COD the items to buyers. People can also troll the auction house with absurd bids (since they don't have to actually commit to the bid).
Yeah I could see this happening, then again some people already troll others with COD already.
The buyout I guess is how you'd avoid the absurd bid trolling. The COD system is flawed by nature and that's ZOS's fault (should be a 24 hour window).
Speaking of timed windows maybe if someone screws up the system with fake bids and trollish COD delays maybe the addon author could allow people to block certain accounts that have done this crap from participating again in their auctions...

That's because Miat does this by leveraging the readily available game API and detecting when the player enters combat. There is no external server connection needed for this. This just shows a warning on the screen to dodge/block because an attack is incoming.2 -

It appears the author also cribbed much of his work, without consent or credit, from TTC. I don't know, we already bypassed integral parts of their system with mail return bot addons and making guilds to be our extra 500 slot storages.1 -

Fact:
An addon maker has made a possibly spyware containing addon to take information from inside your game and put it on his server, (including your account information) then relay it to parts unknown, and possibly facilitate trades..
ZoS never made or supported this, so it is wrong to present it as official material.

Personally I'm hoping it turns out to work exactly like a global auction house for us...would be great to bypass trade guilds and actually reach the whole server.

Yes, which is why I'll never use it. Anything that asks you to run a client BEFORE you log into game is a red-flag for possible keylogger activity. How do you know that once enough people are using this addon, he wont "update" the client.exe and turn it into a keylogger, or worse, a backdoor to your computer.
At least with LUA, I can see the source code and know EXACTLY what the addon is doing.
you can start it after the game is running though, just need to reloadUI in game for it to update. shut down after you exit (or even before and the only keys its logging is whatever you are saying in chat/doing to control your characterdirty worthless casual.
