If there is a maintenance per week,s that gives us about 64 cents, not even a dollar.. come on. But i agree your frustration, with that refund it's not even enough to pay the bus to enjoy the outside while waiting.

This is not about a legal obligation, so stop quoting the TOS (or are you a lawyer on top of a white knight), this is not about what you judge is a "legitimate" time to do maintenance (I especially like that each of those opposed is making his playtime the "norm"), this is not even about a regular maintenance as is (which is, truth to be told, often with less-than-desired results - fix one thing, break an other), but about "irregular" maintenances (like today, or those extending the regular times by quite a bit).
Stop comparing to other MMOs. These are customers of THIS particular MMO and they're dissatisfied with Zenimax' service and it's not you to decide if that's a legit reason or not. In case of this poll, just answer it and of course, state your opinion, but cut that passive agressiveness please. If anything, take note that at the point of this writing, more than half expected some sort of compensation, even though some (like me) are clearly not too happy with it, but don't think that it should end in that.
Also stop saying "take it or leave it". If we got only players with that kind of attitude we would have a terrible, terrible game as no improvement would take place ever.

Ha ha, just kidding Chickenstein, i kind of agree on the principle you put forth that he or anyone else has a right to complain as a customer and shouldn't be put down for it.
But i do disagree that we should have, or are entitled to any form of compensation for a few hours downtime.
Just because those few hours were during the few hours a person plays in, doesn't make the servers down for a day, it's only down for a few hours, all the other hours in the day it is up, the player not being able to play during them hours for whatever reason (ie work, school, sleep, whatever) aren't ZoS problem, they're the players problem.
Now, if the servers were down solidly for say a week or two, then the player, and all players have a case, but for a few hours downtime it's just comical to ask for compensation.0 -

If you are speaking of his rant a few posts before yours on this page, it is just a rant about almost everything he/she find someone could say in disagreement with compensation. Nothing more.
Of course he could have made a different post somewhere in these multiple pages and as such you need to be specific about which post of his/hers you are speaking of.
Granted, I realize this thread merely started out of blowing off steam as their is no reasonable reason for Zos to compensate us for maintenance like we have today. Zos has compensated us previously for different reasons we could not access the game, but not for maintaining the game.0 -

You will see maintenance times are included in those terms and compensation will not be given for it and YOU agreed to it by accepting (electronically signing) those terms.

Just because I know what I agreed to - doesn't make me a lawyer. It just means that I don't agree / accept every EULA/ToS there is until I know I ain't getting myself into something I don't want to. For all you know, since you obviously didn't read it: ZoS could say that they will gather all your personal information and sell it to a third-party website / mailinglist for the sake of profiled advertisement. These are the kind of things I ain't getting myself into, hence why I also read the legal documents I agree to.
