Would you want a "class re-choose" token/option in the game?

Changing class should FORCE us to level up every class skill. The other skills should stay untouched and the same should be for our progress done in that toon like achievements, horse leveling, quests and explored areas.

Why you haven't earned them on that class so should have to level them up to

    Yes please.
Or as someone said before, get rid of classes all together and just make it a skill line.
Or Mulit-class like RIFT, Guild Wars, Runes of Magic, etc.

Until they make mount speed, story-locked skillines & achievements accountwide this option is pretty much required for the health & longevity of the game. So they won't do it unless they can monetize it ofc. Not holding my breath.

I have several toons that need a class change and have lots of crowns to spend for such feature. What ZOS is waiting for?

It's not just a class change. Changing a class may mean that toon race (and name if apply) could also be changed in order to get the best combination for a specific class and thus, more money for ZOS. So is a win-win situation for both parts.

Please @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom care to tell the developers about this feature? At least reconsider it?

Do devs or moderators look through specific forum topics from time to time, even, if the post isn´t offensive?

You would get the 3 class trees resetted to lvl 0, having to Level it up again and the skill points invested into your previous class would be given to you to spend again.

I'd want to see something a bit different.

Classes only have 2 core skill lines

    Nightblade loses Syphoning
Have Soul Magic as a proper skill line that can be acquired that incorporates the best of Syphoning. Move the fill soul gem as a racial passive for all races. (As Morrowind doesn't start you off as a soul less person, perhaps have it auto level based the main quest line).

    Dragon Knight loses Earthen Heart
This skill line can be found in the fighters guild forge. Requires completing Fighters Guild

    Random templar skill line
Also can be found somewhere in Tamriel. Requires clearing all the quest hubs in zone.

    Sorc loses Daedric Summoning
This can be found in the Mage Island at end of Mage guild quest line. Requires completing the Mages Guild.

    Warden loses a skill line
Can be acquired in Gratwood (Animal) or Skyrim (if Frost) or where the Wyrds are in DC (if Green).
    **Locked to Morrowind players only

You can gain all of the skill lines, but can only have one active at a time (to make 3 in total). To change skill line it costs the same as a skill point reset based on how many skill points you had in the line you are replacing.

They've opened the worldspace with one tamriel, I wouldn't mind if they opened the class system and did that with all skill lines.

Anything ridiculously OP you can think of if you could take one tree from one class, remove one of your own, and put it on your toon?

There are three ways to approach this:

    1) As OP states, create an option for class change.
    or
    2) Skill points (from shards, not from quests) are shared across the account.
    or
    3) Do away with classes and make class sets an option like the weapon sets. Limit the number of class sets to 3...or even two class sets...whatever

I propose #3 and we campaign it as "Play your way"

    * All achievments

If all of this would be account based - then, there no need in class changing (for me).

I am far less opposed to this idea than I used to be. Essentially this is an argument about saving time and not having to level new toons. When I had 3-4 alts, my position was always do the work and stop whining. Now that I am doing mages guild on my 10th toon, I am starting to get on board with having to do less to bring up an alt.

Where it hits me personally is that I only have one low level alt, a DK in an alliance I dont play much with. He has a maxed horse and inventory, as well as 50 in all crafting. It's very hard to click delete on him, but I dont really see myself grinding him to 50 any time soon. If I could change his alliance and or class, I would probably grind him up tomorrow.

I really would like, to have this option open, like the race, sex, appearence and name change.

I imagined it, like you would start over from the class (lvl 0 in all three class trees), however, you get all the skill points you invested so far in your previous class back, and, of course, keep all the other skills/passives from other trees (Mage guild, Vampirism etc.). I also think, that it should be a "one time only" change, that cannot be repeated. You got one change and that´s it.

Yeah, but it will never happen. This has been brought up all over the forums and rejected by ZOS.

Defo, my main was maxed out on crafting, shards and pretty much all achievements a soloer can get, having to do all that again on my new warden is a pain, but at least its a fun class to play.

    Cheers
Sorry but why do you need to do all that again ?
Because new characters don't have them? That's the primary reason for wanting class change - to keep your existing content progress (questing, crafting, skyshards, etc) while being able to experience a different class from scratch.

No, you shouldn't have ;) "Don't Care" votes skew the results - the best practice here is "Don't care? Don't vote!"

I don't care, maybe I never use that token, but if this is in the game others will use it -> more income -> less annoying thing in crown store.

I don't see why problem is if some1 want to change every day every week or evry month?

I would prefer a classless system with skillcap.

You can skill in lines you want. Of course if you are not investing much in a particular line you cannot get the core/ultimate skill of this one.

Adding skillcap would allow you to low skills in a line, and gain skills in another line. So if you want to change "class", you could this way.

    Maybe.

The powers that be are on record stating they never intend to do class change, and most MMORPGs I ever played don#t offer ther feature, so I would not hold my breath...

Though if it were to come, it shoudl start the new class at class skills level 1, but keep all your other stuff (mount, research, quest progression) intact... thus it would be a great pain in the a... posterior to max and morph all your new class skills, especially with having to do it through dailies and dungeon runs, which would keep its utility low... but an option for those who really feel the need to change class.

Probably not gonne happen, ever, though.

I'd much rather see them add options for new skill lines, one way or another... tacking new progression options onto existing characters, instead of making people start anew...

Completionism. Having incomplete completion targets is a major turn off with regards to new character creation. If a completionist doesn't see themselves completing all the content again, they won't create a new character, regardless of how much they want to try a new class.

Guys who want to change their class, a little "lifehack" for you - download PTS, create CP 630 character with gear, play... You may don't like it at all, so you will stick with your original class.
Still, i think it's only matter of time. ZOS will add this token eventualy.
