I'm sorry to hear about this, it makes me sick that players think they can talk to people like that. Most of my messages was calling me gay and elaborating on different sexual acts but very explicit and in detail. Very disgusting and vulgar. I blocked the two guys messaging me through Xbox mesg and I reported them through Xbox and zenemax.

And I a update, I reported the players last night and received a email from zenemax this morning basically saying that since I'm in a console I have to take it up with Xbox. Which I reported them as well for unsportsmanlike conduct. Seems like they will get off Scott free without any consequences which is really messed up if you ask me. Being a mmo and a social network community their should be a system in place to prevent this kind of thing from happening. It's one thing if someone calls me a noob or even a word or two, I can ignore that. But when you and your buddies go out of their way to disrespect and shame a player who is just trying to have fun and enjoy the game, that's ridiculous.

The community in this game can be pretty... extra, at times. I have stories similar to a lot of these. Getting personally blamed for boss wipes in spite of an overall breakdown in strategy, receiving insults directed at my masculinity (which are actually just funny to receive when you're a woman; why does everyone assume?) and more than once I've felt compelled to tell people that AIDS jokes aren't appropriate. My favorite experience was the time not so long ago that I accidentally sent a whisper to the wrong person (something innocuous about crafting motifs) and then sent a second one apologizing. The person responded with "YOU GETTING REPORTED." Okay. . . ?

Something that strikes as rather odd is that people you block still get instanced with you. I don't know how it is on PC and XBOX, but it happens often on PS4. This opens up the possibility for griefing and stalking. If there were some kind of system in place to prevent players who have been blocked instancing together or simply not displaying them to each other I think it'd go a long way toward preventing things from escalating and requiring a mod's mediation. Isn't that the point of giving people these tools?

All that aside, sometimes people in the game are wonderful, too. Just the other day someone at a dolmen kept dropping me their vampire gear, because it was clear I was trying to farm for it. I gave them things too--psijic ambrosia, top tear potions I'd made, etc.--but it was clear they didn't actually expect anything in return. It was really nice.

the tank should of been using reverberating bash to slow her down with defile.

next time ask the tank to do that and if a Templar is present ask them to dark flare her.

that will break her healing for sure as long as people try to break free.

also a good place to use a trifood if your mag for the extra stam.


things get hot when things don't work out, but don't take it personal. Its just a game and next time in you'll be better prepared to put her down.

Thank you for the advice everyone! Me and 3 other level 200s were able to beat the final boss with ease!! The cc break away is def a must. Also on a side note I've met some other real cool players (mainly pvp) I play pve but they were awesome and extremely friendly, offering gear sets and much advice. Might even give pvp a try here soon!

If the boss never dropped below 98% the group wasn't focusing the boss. They were stepping back to see if you were doing any damage. Which you clearly weren't. Even on Vet a solo player dps should be able to do significantly more damage than what you were doing.

In short they were mad at you for queueing as a dps when you couldn't fill the role. They carried you to the last boss and got sick of doing the work for you.

This is a classic case of a player claiming to be the victim when they were the cause of the problem. If you want to do group content do a little research. A 5 minute Google search would give you a build that would be much more powerful.

They shouldn't have been messaging you. But most players would have kicked you out of the group.

Actually, I was gonna suggest the report button, with what they said on the screen. They sound abusive above the level allowed by the ToS. Probably all three guildies and took the noob along to abuse.

14 messages is pretty excessive no matter how bad a run goes, seems like you encountered someone else's mental health issues.

Thank you, I can handle a few insults whatever, but when I leave the game to get away from it and they still continue... This was an extreme case yes and I know theirs plenty of awesome people in the game I just haven't met many yet or know how to lol just seem to attract the jerks. I remember my first week playing I had found a chest after unlocking it my inventory was full and a lvl 600 swept in and stole my loot. Last week in a normal dungeon my poor toon was teabagged by the other 3 group members instead of rezing me. It's just stuff like this that ruins the whole experience for me which sucks cause I really do love everything else about the game.

Well if you never had the stamina to break free of her grip to prevent her from healing, it was probably why you were removed. It doesn't however justify the harassment you received. If you weren't breaking free, they should have told you how to do it. The add's do very little damage if the tank does it's job and keeps them off the dps and healer. Sadly EVERYONE needs to have at leask 6K Stamina to break free from her heal leech grip and the sooner you break free the sooner you can go back to dpsing her health down.

Voting to kick you from the group is one thing, harrassing you through persistent messages is entirely different. You need to report them through Xbox and then block their accounts.

I feel some level of sympathy for you but to be honest, and this is just my opinion, it is what it is and this is just the nature of the game. This is just one of those things you will have to live with and move on. Report them if you have to.
I have run across some awesome and forgiving groups.
Then again, I have been booted immediately after greeting everyone and asking a question about the mechanics of the dungeon.
The only suggestion I have for you is run them with fellow guild members.

And yeah, Direfrost Keep is a b*t*h to complete if you do not know what to do specifically.

Nah, games used to have standards they expected their players to uphold. You would be banned for good. At least that was my EQ experience. This would mean you could return if you got a new game code only available with another box purchase and resubscribed. Oh, and never let them know you had been banned before because they'd do it again. I can't believe they still let this kinda of stuff happen. Its in the logs. All they have to do is look.

I totally understand you, this has happened to me too few times. some people are just stupid, or they are min-maxers (best build, best gear, highest possible dps, etc) and they hate casual players.

for this you have the ignore list, or report to ZOS option. but there are still many many players who are nice, willing to help and friendly.

this game is too awesome to get upset by bunch of ***

You will meet idiots in all kinds of places in life, atleast in a game you can put them on ignore list so you dont have to deal with their *** again.

Just a heads up. Break free is broken when you lag. I pugged this on vet a few weeks ago. I have break free bound to a key because the mouse bind has never worked. We had a perfect run with 3 guildies and a high cp excellent tank but 2 of us simply could not break free in time. Tank finally dropped group out of frustration. .which was fair enough and we got in another guildie to help finish. My guildies patiently waited while i switched out from my left handed mouse, rebound the key and practiced so they could see the animation. It worked 1 time in 3 with a full stam bar. Finally i said just leave me dead so you can finish. They did.
I was practically in tears i was so frustrated with myself and a stupid buggy mechanic that takes no account of oceanic ping...ever tried playing with 390ms on a good day? I can pvp do all vet dungeons and have even learned how to beat the aoe dodge roll target box problem all asian and oceanic players deal with but Break free is notorious for punishing laggers and there is no workaround i am aware of.
Got my bust. Never have to see Drodda again and thank the stars for that small mercy.
My wish for this game is a working break free. Or the removal of that dumb mechanic. Either would make me and many others a happy player.

We got a CP 300ish damage dealer that didn't know what "break free" is.. his english was poor, ours not the best either.. was a really really hard time to teach him a base mechanic.. thats what happens if one rush the tutorial I guess.(or buys an acc.)
But the harassing on you was insane, poor basta.rds out there .)

I actually have to agree the PS4 community on ESO can be very toxic at times, some things said across zone chat can be very explicit.. Other times however it can be very supportive and gives out great information.

I think however there needs to be a harsher monitoring system on the chat. Even if you do disable the chat does not mean they stop sending threats across the platform and to get others to do it as well... harsh gamer world these days.

On Xbox if they send you a vulgar message (on Xbox not in game), report them as Microsoft will ban them.
Best part is Xbox send u a msg saying they've taken action against one of your complaints, nice little feeling - knowing they've been banned.

I only vote to kick if tank doesn't taunt, healer doesn't heal or dd is afk. If group is just bad, I rather leave myself then vote to kick.

I can't really think of any boss that last more then 3 mins tho. Also, if you are low cp and not optimal gear, I suggest just stick to normal dungeons really. You still get undaunted key and xp. It's not respectful for other players to queue in a hard veteran dungeon without having experience, unless you all agree on it's a learning or first time run.

Final boss of vet Direfrost would not drop below 98% after many tries we gave up seems to be bugged, rest of the dungeon was quite easy to do so was sad to give up (some had to go to work). We did not get crazy and upset rather we are more focus on beating it!

Having said that players in this game are sweaties. Like die hard, try hard sweaties. If you don't play the way they want they will kick you out. If you play on PS4 NA let me know. Be happy to run dungeons with ya it's beena while since I ran any dungeon myself.
