This community ruined the game for me thank guys...

I'll start out by saying I absolutely loved this game, everything about it! The small details, the storylines, endless content, the rewards, I would be active in the forums and meeting new people, the list goes on... Except here recently I've had some bad luck running into some *** players. I'm a cp204 mag sorc and have been playing for about 2 months, I don't claim to great but just average as I'm getting the hang of the game. Today I ran a dungeon The group I was in made it to the last boss without any problems what so ever but we seemed to be stumped on the final boss, in fact his health never dropped under 98%. After about 5 min of dps the adds my buffs ran out and soon died their after. I get reszd back and another 5 min or so I die again... Nbd as noone is even hitting the boss at this point. I think my gear eventually went out and if course I had no time to fix anything. Soon after my third death the whole group dies. I see that ive been voted and kicked out, what ever I was done with that stupid boss anyways. Soon after I get flooded with whispers from that group filled with explicit content, very insulting bashing filled with provocative content. It didn't stop their they continued to message me when I left the game to watch Netflix... How am I supposed to keep playing this game when players are this harassing. I honestly don't want to log in anymore, this game was an escape for me but I'm being treated worse than I would in real life.

Well if it makes you feel any better, if the boss never went under 98% they didn't finish it with anyone else either.

The community has been very toxic, especially here on the forums lately. I got called a "*** SJW ***" the other day in a RP guild of all places and I've been on here since beta and have never seen such rude nonsense.

The thing that got warranted that harassment was engaging in a small discussion about LGBT visibility in the game but like, just there is so much toxicity in some corners.

I'm sorry you had this sort of experience. It's not right. Nobody should ever be harassed like this on a game of all places.

By the way, how did you get to the last boss and then could only take 2% of its health. How did you kill trash mobs and all other bosses? Only 2%?

I'm sorry but those 3 people don't represent the entire community. Yes there are bad people out there but that's in every game. The only thing i can say is man up and don't let it bother you. Ignore them and try again.
Find a guild that's for you (there's a lot on the forums recruiting) and have fun. There are those who think are tough sh*t just because they're with friends. You're 200 CP so keep on going. I've met some *** people bashing on me due to my build. I left and made another group, those people became my friends and it was fun. PC community is better than xBox from what i've seen. Console community isn't great (again from what i've heard.)

Idk I honestly thought the last boss was broken because we breezed through the first two bosses without any issues. The final boss would spawn two adds that kept us from even bring able to hit him.

14 messages is pretty excessive no matter how bad a run goes, seems like you encountered someone else's mental health issues.

A while back, I heard the last vet Direfrost boss was borked...maybe it hasn't been fixed, or it just glitches on you.

Or maybe the other group members weren't doing enough damage to get counteract the health regeneration.

Direfrost keeps last boss is a mechanic check.

She is untauntable. Meaning the tank is just there to apply the debuffs from pierce armor and tuant the adds when they show up.

She heals herself by a percentage of her health every time she put that been on a player and you HAVE to break free it immediately or she heals like 10% of her health every 2 seconds. You need to make sure you always have enough stamia to do this. Or you will not beat her.

This simply sounds like a you guys need to work on those mechanics.

Thank you, I can handle a few insults whatever, but when I leave the game to get away from it and they still continue... This was an extreme case yes and I know theirs plenty of awesome people in the game I just haven't met many yet or know how to lol just seem to attract the jerks. I remember my first week playing I had found a chest after unlocking it my inventory was full and a lvl 600 swept in and stole my loot. Last week in a normal dungeon my poor toon was teabagged by the other 3 group members instead of rezing me. It's just stuff like this that ruins the whole experience for me which sucks cause I really do love everything else about the game.

@OP, you can right click a players name in the chat window and select 'Ignore'. No more harassing messages.

And I'm a magsorc dps so if this is the case I doubt I was the sole reason. Thank you for tips btw!

Lol, this happens in every game, get over it, ignore them, life goes on.

Low CP DPS always have a tough time, thats how it is. Most people prefer higher CP DPS to blast through and get the dungeon done.

If you didnt get her health down she must have been healing, as mentioned everyone must break free when she targets you. Maybe you didnt break free and kept making her heal? maybe thats why they messaged you. If it was a case, typing strategy in text chat would have helped.

No excuse for the harrassment though, thats out of order.

direfrost vet is one of the few dungeons where i have to make sure everyone understands the mechanics. break free of the beam, and after she teleports stay the hell away from that AoE. simple, yet lots of people ( mainly inexperienced tanks) decide not to break free of the beam and its a lost cause

Yah you just got to break free when the boss starts to stun a player and suck their energy.

I have actually soloed that one on Veteran. Funny enough is that if a second player came along and didn't know the break free requirement I would potentially never finish it. Kind of like what happened to you guys...

By break free you mean holding your right and left trigger? And I'm on Xbox btw. I don't recall being held down by a restraint personally or if I did I would hit my triggers as I always do. What got me the first time was the ice spikes 25k dam and the second time was a frost attack at 24k dam that ripped right through my shields.

Find a guild that you fit well with. Guild members would be much more understanding and also give you advice and help with understanding the mechanics.

Really the best option in an MMO.
