Ok, the harrassment is definitely not appropriate, but they probably assumed you were not following the mechanics properly (we don't know the whole story and you claim not to even remember being held down at all) so they wanted to kick you.

If you don't follow the mechanics that boss is impossible to kill (without high dps to overcome the insane healing she has).

@xmaveri don't let other people ruin this game...this escape...for you. Rise above it and find a different group to run with. Nobody deserves to be trash talked no matter how good or bad they are at the game. I've only ever grouped up in pairs, so I don't have a clue how to run a dungeon with people. Good luck to you!

Funny enough I just had a group with a 200ish cp mag sorc "dps" that just couldn't understand this fight, didn't help that she was using Witchmothers and even with the tank using ebon, she only had 15k health. When we wiped to explain the fight, she went off on me, the healer for asking her to use the max health and max magic food to make it easier to heal her, I even tried to give her food, she wasn't having any of it though and just told to me not to tell her how to play. I ended up just leaving, I was just there for hulk divines anyways so.

I appreciate the positive feedback from everyone, really. I blocked the players, and I'll be back on tmw. Thank you everyone who has contributed to this post, you guys/gals really changed my perspective.

If you're DPS is high enough I think you can ignore mechanics here, although I've never had a group that won't CC break aside from the occasional poor player.

Either your group DPS isn't up to par, or you didn't follow mechanics, or both.

And just to be clear none of the messages and whispers mentioned anything about mechanics, or even my gameplay jus profanity, in fact nothing was even sent until after I was kicked. Totally uncalled for. Ive been in other dungeons for the first time where vet players would explain the mechanics to the group and almost every time we would beat that boss/dungeon. My reason for posting was solely about the harrasment Although I really enjoy the feefback, tips, and pointers!

I'll admit I didn't know the mechanics and I wasn't trying to put blame on anyone just explaining the situation. Could have been my fault idk. My reason for posting was about the harrasment, although I'm glad I understand the mechanics for the last boss now.

This kind of thing isn't about the ESO community, it's just people in general and it goes both ways.

A couple weeks ago we tried to help a couple of people through WGT (I was tanking, a friend was healing, we've both run it a million times with various people) Neither had done it before and one of the guys was only cp200something - whatever, we didn't care.

His build and rotation were horrible, we pointed out a couple things he could try in the group chat, but he said he was fine. He keeps talking bout doing hard mode no problem and I'm explaining we have to get past atronoch boss first. I type out all the mechanics and what we have to do, we try it a couple times and neither are listening very well to the explanation, so I try and start over seeing if I can explain more clearly and offer reasons why we are doing something a certain way. I'm cut off and told in pretty ugly terms to shut up and then he said forget it and quit the group. My friend saw him a day later in the guild chat trying to form a trial group asking for only people experienced and that won't wipe (to carry him through something). So trust me, even those that help others see the same thing from the other side that discourage them from even bothering. (And frankly, it makes me doubt stories like this when I see them on the forums, to see how blind that person's belief was that they were in no way in the wrong, I could totally see them making some post and complaining about not getting helped.)

There are some good ways to deal with toxic players. One of my favourites is replying carelessly. For example, someone tells you to kill yourself – respond with "Thank you" or "I will just because you told me to". Proceed to block the person if you want to.

Just remember that those who lash out with personal attacks struggle with personal issues.

Meh some people just suck. Even if the wipes were your fault they should've talked to you about it rather than harass you after kick, that's just mean and silly. Don't let that get to you, there're plenty of nice people out there.

I'm leveling a baby magsorc on eu, am about 150 cp now. I'm actually using crafted purple gear and I know the dungeon mechanics by heart because I've probably done them all thousands of times by now. Pugged random vet the other day, got DC 2. Other dps was 400-something cp, tank 200-something, healer I don't remember. First think dps did was go "meh 120 cp, gonna kick you if we die". I told him I'd be fine. Second thing he did was ran in, stand in the fire on the very first boss, die, and proceed to trash talk me as he laid there dead. Meanwhile, I was alive and doing 15-17k dps single target (while also having agro because tank was losing agro a lot). Lol. We go on, and he keeps telling me how much my dps and me personally suck for queueing for vet dungeon at cp 120...lol. The funniest part? Other people agree with him. "Why don't you just agree and leave"(to me), "but your dps is so good you can probably make it"(to other dps lmao, his dps was nothing special although probably higher than mine...while he was alive). I suppose if you trash talk someone confidently enough that makes you right. They kicked me after Grobul even though we never wiped and I was the person who died the least throughout the whole run lol. But the confident jerk said my dps sucks so it must be so obviously. Hf to them finding someone with more than 17k dps and knowing mechanics through groupfinder

There's no fixing some people being jerks, there are some things you can fix on your side though just to make grouping go better ^^ You said your buffs ram out midfight - did you mean food? Did you reapply it after? You shouldn't be trying to do vet hm without food, you'll just be getting one shot non stop even if you follow mechanics. A lot of vet dungeons' last bosses have special mechanics to follow, so if you don't know the fight it's a good idea to ask your teammates to tell/remind you as well. And do pay attention to boss cues. Drodda herself is not very tauntable but the tells are there. When she ports, you'll want to roll away from her because the giant aoe she does will one shot you. When she lifts you in the air, you'll want to break free, etc.

Hi there. Don't let a small minority of anti Social idiots ruin a huge vast game filled with amazing people.

1. That boss is tough on Vet, if they don't get the Mechs you'll never kill her
2. PUGs can suck. It's an issue. Some are there to enjoy the dungeon, some are there to rip thru it and do it as fast as possible, this there is always a class of approach even if level or ability isn't an issue
3. Find a good Guild. It a huge so talking guild that's faceless, a smaller one, PvE focus that you can regularly run with sound people it will make the WORLD of difference

Remember in a pug you might be playing against anyone. Some drunk dude messing about or some teenagers just up for pranks.

Find your tribe, and you'll have a blast.

Is it a console thing? I very very rarely run into anyone who's not friendly and helpful when I pug on pc eu. I think the worst I've seen was someone who got mad when we had failed the Volenfell final boss like 10 times. He still stayed and finished, he just got frustrated with the tank, and rightly so.
I think if I ever get messages like these I'll rp back, shakesperean style...

The last boss in Direfrost Keep Veteran has an ability that lets her full heal back to health if the targeted person does not break-free.

I think it's kewl you posted . You got some good feedback. Unfortunately you have to have a thick sink to pug dungeons . I got kicked from direfrost also the first time. I had no idea . I learned and got back in there the rest of the runs went great. Now you can be the one to explain to others the mechanics. Cheers.

I think I was in that group (the tank / @Elrohur).
Actually it was my first run and had to figure out the mechanics while attacking the boss. As for the other fights I couldn't even pull anything since everyone was just running ahead like crazy. Can be hard to follow sometimes, especially when you don't know the place.
I am sorry you've got kicked (thought it'd be me though) and then trash talked ... I will never understand why people do that kind of things. Mistakes happen and you can't magically know every boss tactics out there.

Anyway just to let you know I'm sorry for what happened to you yesterday.
As for myself I'd run another dungeon with you no problem. Hopefully I'll have the time to pull mobs this time

I honestly don't want to log in anymore, this game was an escape for me but I'm being treated worse than I would in real life.

Just ignore and report them, don't let scum like these ruin your appetite to game and for the record every mmo out there has these toxic players who just go on an harrasing spree, so it's normal just enjoy the game !
