The pug community is toxic, but the vast majority of people in this game are super nice. if you report those players and if they were actually that harassing, they will get banned, not suspended banned, I know Iv'e seen it happen before. The ZoS GM's really don't play around with that stuff.

Sorry you had a bad experience but, there are solutions provided you want to take them.

Hmm maybe that's why they are still in random search instead of running with friends they met.. defiantly looking for some cool people to run with

OK so don't log in anymore. Not sure what the point of the post is. Either you want to play or you don't.

Why didn't you just block them? That would have solved your problem.

I guess I just don't understand how people let morons get to them. There will be jackasses everywhere, but in an online setting you have the power to stop it.

I will never understand how people are harassed in an online environment where you have the ability to completely block all communication with anyone.

Don't like how someone is acting? Block them.
    Someone harassing you? Block them.
Don't like someone's attitude? Block them.
Don't like someone's name? Block them.
I think you get the point, just block them. If you respond to them you are giving them exactly what they want.

Block/ ignore and report. If they do this enough to people they will be banned. I have never personally had this happen. I might get a few hate messages here and there while playing pvp in various games but that's it. Seems odd I have never had these problems.

I am going with dire Frost keep you were on.. I don't do well there either.
You need a group that knows the mechanics.

I dungeon with guild mates and understand we are just there for fun.
    We avoid Dire Frost.
I do go there with other people and kick dire frosts butt. Those people are different types of players.

That's pretty much the jest of every MMO. Faceless cowards hide behind their keyboards in the basements of their mothers secure in their anonymity, launching their insults so that they feel powerful.

It's been this way for a long time in the MMO communities, but as more and more people have gotten into MMOs, more people feel secure as they are hidden in the masses. It's not a small, tight knit community where you got a reputation and were socially banned by other players. Instead, they launch their poison-filled barbs safely from their hiding place and never face any consequences, which only emboldens them to do it more often.

Report them for harassment, then ignore them.

It's no real consolation, I know, but when Morrowind drops no one except relatively new players such as yourself will be able to sustain much. Everyone is going to have to make a choice between power or sustain. Who knows...maybe hybrid builds will become a thing when they never have been viable before in this game. The whole game is being severely skewed to help newer players. That's a real knife in the back to those of us who have been here from the beginning, but c'est la vie — such is life.

Having been in the game since pre-launch three years ago, I'm familiar with how ZOS tends to turn everything upside down whenever they introduce a major new change. So lately (even before the patch notes dropped) I have been experimenting with my stamina Templar by completely going all-in for stamina. Almost no sustain. It's been an interesting challenge. I ran Fungal Grotto the other day with a pretty decent group. My character is very powerful, but squishy. Had no problem until the final boss, then kept getting killed.

My experiment includes dual wield on both bars, but at one point when the whole group wiped, I quickly put bow on back bar then ranged the boss. That did the trick and we beat it. One of the members of that group was a foul-mouthed pain in the ass, but the other members of the group ignored him and did what seemed best to kill the boss. It worked.

That's the answer when people behave toward you as what happened in your group. Ignore them. Report them if necessary. Go on and play the game the way you enjoy playing it. Don't let anyone bully you.

I'll start out by saying I absolutely loved this game, everything about it! The small details, the storylines, endless content, the rewards, I would be active in the forums and meeting new people, the list goes on... Except here recently I've had some bad luck running into some *** players. I'm a cp204 mag sorc and have been playing for about 2 months, I don't claim to great but just average as I'm getting the hang of the game. Today I ran a dungeon The group I was in made it to the last boss without any problems what so ever but we seemed to be stumped on the final boss, in fact his health never dropped under 98%. After about 5 min of dps the adds my buffs ran out and soon died their after. I get reszd back and another 5 min or so I die again... Nbd as noone is even hitting the boss at this point. I think my gear eventually went out and if course I had no time to fix anything. Soon after my third death the whole group dies. I see that ive been voted and kicked out, what ever I was done with that stupid boss anyways. Soon after I get flooded with whispers from that group filled with explicit content, very insulting bashing filled with provocative content. It didn't stop their they continued to message me when I left the game to watch Netflix... How am I supposed to keep playing this game when players are this harassing. I honestly don't want to log in anymore, this game was an escape for me but I'm being treated worse than I would in real life.

Unfortunately a lot of the hard up experienced players view less experienced players as wasting their time, but they need to realize that if they are going to bring a less experienced player it is on them to lower their expectations about success rate. Nevermind the fact that if the boss is failing to drop even a little health, its not any one persons fault unless maybe they are serving some otherwise critical role and are failing miserably.

Unfortunately, there seem to be an entire subculture of a55 hats who feel entitled to being the very best, to such an extent that they take advantage of any loophole that makes them appear better (such as targeting a weaker player or a player they don't like, and focusing the groups anger on that player), and are willing to displace their failure on others. Not surprisingly these are often the types of players who are AOK with spewing hatred and trying to force people out.

The sad thing is, some groups actually self-identify with this mentality and think its a productive way of making players better. In reality it is just throwing a group tantrum and syphoning hatred onto someone.

The internet is best dealt with by sociopaths. If you don't care a bit about other people then its a playground. Its too bad they didn't tell you what they thought you were doing wrong or at least I didn't notice in your post. But even so if they have continued to harass you then they are just human garbage. Their parents are probably divorcing and they're mad because they have to give up the basement. Enjoy the parts of the game you enjoyed before and just prepare yourself for anyone you meet in game to need psychological help. Not me though. My chat window is so small for some reason I can't read it so its no use to me. I'm deaf and mute.

Its too bad. There is some guy on YouTube I watched with something of a similar experience (the harassment). I have never heard of people acting that way in a game. Surely this game isn't special in that regard. When did this start and is it typical of MMOs now?

I'm sorry but those 3 people don't represent the entire community. Yes there are bad people out there but that's in every game. The only thing i can say is man up and don't let it bother you. Ignore them and try again.
Find a guild that's for you (there's a lot on the forums recruiting) and have fun. There are those who think are tough sh*t just because they're with friends. You're 200 CP so keep on going. I've met some *** people bashing on me due to my build. I left and made another group, those people became my friends and it was fun. PC community is better than xBox from what i've seen. Console community isn't great (again from what i've heard.)

    I agree with your comment.

OP here is some additional food for thought. For elite players unless there is some type of interrupt some can be solo'd, some without a tank, without a healer, all dps etc. If the Ice Witch was only to 98% that tells me that the tank was most likely not debuffing, the healer not buffing and the other dps had just as low if not lower dps and the break free mechanic was not being followed. If they were really good players then they could have burned the boss down without your help and let you know the mechanics of the fight and you would have been the carry. If the boss was still at 98% and they were sending you messages... means that they needed an elite dps to carry the three and/or they have no idea how the boss functions. You are better off without that group.

That is what the ignore function is for. Start group finder again and chalk it up to jack*&s's. Don't let the negative affect your love for the game :)

My first reply would have been... I did my job while you guys stood there... get good bro. I'll be completing with another group soon.

And then finish off with ... Bye Felicia.

And then ignore list. I got no time for jerks who take their lack of ability out on one person. The group I run with, if it's truly that one guy's fault, will give him tips and pointers and point him in the right direction to get better. Dingleberries like that group just need to realize that it's a game.

Then there is the other side where it just might be you. If any of them gave you something constructive, then research what he said and get good bro.

Either way... Your first mistake was coming here. You cant tell me you've never encountered some one like this in real life. And in that regard, how could you not expect to have it happen in game? And if you were so sheltered in your real life you never encountered self righteous jerks... welcome to MMOs where everyone is uber and they let you know it.

Ugh, yeah... Direfrost is a bit of a pain for the last boss when she does that beam... I remember running with three friends and a random, we tried to tell the extra he needed to break free if she grabs him, *multiple* times. he still wouldn't do it. And while I feel like we might have been jerks doing this, but the next time he died, we kind of left him dead on the ground for the rest of the fight. (This was after multiple goes of trying to kill the boss). But the boss died, he still got his loot and no one got mad, so a win-win in my books lol.

This is the exact reason i wont do Trials. I am a very experienced MMO player and pretty good in this game but considering i dont know the Trial mechanics i wont even join a Trial because of players like this i might encounter. Yes you can read guides but that is totally different then actually doing it. Sucks because there are probably many very good players that do exactly what i do. And yes i have searched for Guilds, joined them but Guilds in this game is just 500 complete strangers with the same Guild name. Would love to find a guild with max 50 people that know each other. Its what all my guilds have been in other MMOs except this one.

I had no issue finding a small guild in ESO, such as you speak of. But importantly, there are random normal trials where people will take newbies in and talk them through mechanics. Normal trials are very simple, so I would not be put off, just explain to the leader than you've never done it before and is he OK with that and he will let you know.

Certainly if you are a DD, a normal trial is pretty much a zergfest, nothing taxing at all you just need to hit reasonable DPS numbers.

I've had some nasty comments directed towards me in the almost 3 years I have been playing this game. One guy in particular called me every name that a female never wants to hear. He disrespected me and continued to harass me over psn messages. He didn't stop there, if he saw that I was in a party he would contact the party leader and tell them a whole bunch of nonsense. He sent around fake pictures of me. It was and still is awful. I have sent zenimax and playstation screenshots and they have done nothing to this guy that has continued to harass me, but the second someone is abusing an exploit they are all over it. It's sad

The last boss in direfrost - Drodda _ is relly tough. If you read the scroll she pulls back health at a very high rate. You have to break-free immediately, or else...

That boss needs high DPS and high stam to manage the breakfree. I change to stam food on her and I am CP800 and run with a guild that is most CP700+. Don't feel bad. Sorry that you were treated poorly. Look me up in-game and I will hook you up with our guild. The high level guys are always helping the lower CP guildmates ramp up.

Direfrost keeps last boss is a mechanic check.

She is untauntable. Meaning the tank is just there to apply the debuffs from pierce armor and tuant the adds when they show up.

She heals herself by a percentage of her health every time she put that been on a player and you HAVE to break free it immediately or she heals like 10% of her health every 2 seconds. You need to make sure you always have enough stamia to do this. Or you will not beat her.

This simply sounds like a you guys need to work on those mechanics.

This whole thing right here. It's why I hate that boss so much. Ran into similar issues as OP with a group finder run. I hadn't done the dungeon yet on vet, the other DPS was insufficient, so we struggled hard and eventually the healer just couldn't keep us alive to the end and bailed out. As it turned out, the replacement healer wiped the floor with the previous one and we got through it after another 2 tries.

I got my bust and I will never do that dungeon again on vet. The mechanics of that final boss fight to me simply make it not fun to repeat.

Idk I honestly thought the last boss was broken because we breezed through the first two bosses without any issues. The final boss would spawn two adds that kept us from even bring able to hit him.

Direfrost keep gives a fractured group of players fits. You can't tank the boss, you can only break free from her beam that drains your life and restores hers and avoid the red circle when she teleports. Everyone should be doing their part to do her down even the healer. It's frustrating when other players can't grasp the mechanics.

Including the vet players who should know the mechanics and communicate with group on what to do. Their was a level 600 tank and healer, they should have known.. and if they are able to mesg explicits than theirs no excuse in why every couldn't explain how to beat the the final boss.
