In every instance these threads are getting overwhelming push back from the community, that if anything tells me that despite some balance and tech issues, ZoS has done something right, by developing a game the other 99% of the player base can enjoy.

The pushback here isnt the Crown Crates. Its the way this s'wit is going about objecting to Crown Crates. Hes blaming people for spending their money and trying to make them out to be terrible people for actually using what they bought. On top of that hes acting like we're dealing with the dregs of society when it comes to ZOS. Its a very extreme and unpopular view even amongst PAWs players.

It's not really hard to understand that one's pleasure works against others immersion. As long as this is an mmo there will be people complaining on other people for x reasons, just because we must see each other in game and we always compare.
I also don't like those animated crown crate mounts but do not complain on the people riding them. In my opinion these mounts do not fit to elder scrolls lore and they break my immersion too a bit. As a part of community though I have to move along and be over it.

when it come to lore in this game i take it with a pinch of salt as i'm unsure if it's cannon to the main series also due to it being an mmo and usually mmo's now a days have stores that sell all kinds of wacky thing that break immersion, think yourself lucky that they didn't go with the p2w model.

I have a storm atronauch on my main but I got lucky and won it on my second box. I do not sit around though. Why sit when I have 60/60/60 mount!? (that I earned over about 180 days).

But I do get what you mean. For instance, I know for a fact that if I go to that dolmen a little north (northwest?) of Vulkhel's Guard in Auridon. That first one for AD players there are a ton of botters just sitting near it with a flame staff shooting fire bolts automatically for hours on end. Nothing has been done about it too and the people there keep growing. One reason why I have been playing more PlayStation version. A lot less botters and I have not been to that dolmen yet but generally no where near as many AFK (AFC(Controller)?) players. When I go to the bathroom or grab a snack I play the /lute usually although sometimes I do /idle2 or /sitchair. But yeah botting, macros, or hard-cheating is all horrible and will wreck any game. But I and you should have faith that Zenimax will fix it too!

I ride everywhere on my trusty 10k gold mount that I bought when that was all I could afford and I have no need to change it.

And I wouldn't know (or care) what anyone else is doing, regardless of how expensive their mount is, because I am too busy doing what I want to take any notice of what anyone else is doing.

Sorry; while I don't object to people spending as much money as they want however they want to do so, I do object to items being locked forever behind the really horrible rng in this game. The apex rewards can be locked in the rngesus boxes forever, they are the themed, special items. Why are items that aren't themed being locked in the themed rngesus boxes? The black mane lion, red pit wolf, [and the cubs/pups that match] aren't themed; the orginally released for sale at a specific price clouded leopard senche is now locked in the gambleboxes.

If they kept the special themed mounts separate, but allowed the not themed items to be sold at a set price after the clown crate season is over I would have no objections to the clown crates at all. People who want to gamble on getting the stuff early could do that; the people who don't want the apex mounts could wait and buy the item they want outright several months later.

When I'm playing I barely even notice other players cause I'm just paying attention to what I'm doing. If I see a toon on a badass mount I think it's cool. I dont buy crates cause I don't have money to blow like that but if you get a mount why wouldn't you use it? No one is gambling for any of those potions and riding lessons. The vast majority are gambling for those mounts. Or the higher rewards under the Apex Mounts. Theres a reason why the drop rate on the Apex rewards are so low. No one but those defending ZOS are pretending that those Apex rewards arent what everyones actually aiming for.

Well since there is only like 15 or so of them that post on the forum's and I have witnessed the shaming and harassment on the forums like most everyone else has...I would say yeah pretty much anyone who is honest can.

Not at all bs,, with the storm atro mounts I got 15 craters and got nothing except I made enough gems to get the red pit wolf. With the wild hunt I got 4 crates and was lucky with an epic bear mount.
