As far as I know - crafting workshops are "non - PvP" sub-areas...

That said, if you do happen to come across other players in the Imperial City, consider yourself lucky. Its like seeing the Northern lights, or a shooting star.

To be fair, it sounds like you got unlucky. There's really not a whole lot of people in the IC, and i doubt anyone has the patience to wait for players outside of the crafting stations. I hope this didn't ruin your impression of the zone, it can be quiet fun to explore and complete the main questline, even if you do get killed by a player every now and then.

Maybe on way out just so they can get to their base faster.

I remember there was this particularly bad DK player hiding behind a corner and kept snaring me. Well, I say bad because he couldn't obviously do much damage, thus it was pretty pointless him attempting to do what he was doing. He could do *** all against my Templar. Whilst he ran out of resources using snare etc, I simply out healed everything he could throw at me. Granted, I couldn't kill him either, so after 10mins of this ***, 3 others from my alliance turned up.
Hurr Durr I aem teh Tempral, broken ass class.
If you see other alliances players at imperial city crafting station wanting to craft gears, will you initiate a fight or not? Just outside crafting stations door.
