I assume "If" you could attack players there...
As far as I know - crafting workshops are "non - PvP" sub-areas...

Oh ok, didn't know that. But still I got killed immediately when I stepped out the door by a group of enemies, they know this is the crafting station and waited.

Crafting station are located in rooms where you are unable to kill other players, just like quest related rooms where you have to engage in dialogue.

That said, if you do happen to come across other players in the Imperial City, consider yourself lucky. Its like seeing the Northern lights, or a shooting star.

Kill. I was killed more than once while crafting, so I don't give a flying f*** about ppl crafting there. Once it was by a "person" who I let craft b4.

Well, I got killed as soon as I stepped outside.
Odds aside, it's a moral question, will you or not kill?

You can kill them right b4 they enter. Or after they exit. I prefer 1st method.

I'm pretty sure the crafting stations have an alternate exit that leads up to an alcove, which should let you scout the area before leaving.

To be fair, it sounds like you got unlucky. There's really not a whole lot of people in the IC, and i doubt anyone has the patience to wait for players outside of the crafting stations. I hope this didn't ruin your impression of the zone, it can be quiet fun to explore and complete the main questline, even if you do get killed by a player every now and then.

Seeing how it says "at the front door," I'm assuming neither has actually yet entered the crafting station, therefore I'm sure enemy players would most likely attack.

I wouldn't, given how much effort it is to travel to sewer than up the city then hide your way to the station. I wouldn't wanna get killed nor kill someone with the same agenda.

Oh man, I must be playing in the wrong place. Earlier this week, a friend and I went into Haderus to quest and farm the sewers for telvar/hakeijo runes. I can't tell you how many times we got rolled over by 4-5 cp600 AD players while we were questing or killing daedra in the quest areas.

@akl77, I wouldn't either...but sadly I'm not most players. I could be fighting a Deadroth solo, when a rival comes up and kills me, and leaves the Deadroth. Like bro...couldn't of at least finished it? :/

Got jumped right outside door leaving on one of my runs to craft.

It let me respawn back to the safe spot and leave.

    No big deal.

Sure they got telvar but I dont care about telvar, i was only their to craft.

IMO if you do care about telvar and are their for telvar then getting killed is the risk for gathering telvar so... no room to complain.

Now, i have not had this happen and dont know if it can happen but if someone kept killing you before you could get in to craft with a lather-rinse-repeat screw with you intent, that would be rather close to malicious.

However, now that i have my attunable armor master setup in Sleek Creek for me and my guildies, i dont have to deal with that anymore and IC can go back to being unimportant.

I love gankers who camp base doors or any door which requires unaware suckers to head towards. The vast majority of my TV stones have come from gankers, who obviously have little or no answer to people countering their limited use of skills.

I remember there was this particularly bad DK player hiding behind a corner and kept snaring me. Well, I say bad because he couldn't obviously do much damage, thus it was pretty pointless him attempting to do what he was doing. He could do *** all against my Templar. Whilst he ran out of resources using snare etc, I simply out healed everything he could throw at me. Granted, I couldn't kill him either, so after 10mins of this ***, 3 others from my alliance turned up.

It depends entirely on if I am currently annoyed with your faction. Most of the time I leave solo questers and crafters alone.

As a tip... Once you've crafted, if you don't want to reward campers, queue to another campaign and port there. You'll spawn at your faction's base.

    Only if they attack first
I'll generally try to avoid killing lowbies and/or people who are obviously there for PvE/crafting, but in my experience more often than not doing so results in said people attacking me in the back. That's something I'll never understand - it's painfully clear some people are not there for pvp, so I let them pass in peace and they typically don't attack first then, then they carefully wait for when/if I happen to be low from fighting a boss/another player and make sure to finish me in the back then>.<
I still try to let people go in peace if they seem to be there for pve but now I watch my back doing so :p

That said it does seem pretty mean to camp crafting station door just to kill a poor unsuspecting crafter.

I don't attack solo players, if they are 3 or more and they are busy doing something else I won't attack them, only if they do it first.
