The same problem that was throughout the test is not fixed. Why, then, was a month in a row to give feedback?

    Wow, you got that far. My 3.4GB download has turned into a gigantic repair session. I'm currently downloading 7.8GB of who knows what.

    The General himself found a solution. Maybe someone will help. You need to uninstall all the versions of MS C++ on your computer (personally, I have had a lot of them and they are not replaced by newer) and install the latest.

    After the first repair I just closed the client and opened it back up, no down loading something else. will see if it works after that.
    Solo PvP and PvE most of the time.

    The issue you describe here is not the same as in my thread you linked. Following may fix it (directly from Gina):
    If error states that api-ma-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll is missing, download and run the following update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226

    If MSVCP140.dll is missing, download and run this update: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

    After running all updates, please reboot your PC for the changes to take effect.

    Hit play. Crash. No error message. Rebooting didn't help. Ugh.

    Was working before patch, now patch installed the same error from PTS is now affecting live effectively locking me out of the game, and here was me worried about my mac client not being fixed when i should have been worried about this!

    I did that, got into the game but from the Character Screen on I lose game sound. I'm not the only one but probably best not to derail this thread further.

    What about those of us getting crashes without that message? I get no error message at all. Game starts to open, crashes 2 seconds later.

    That has nothing to do with maintenance... The error is known already and has been reported in the first PTS week as postet here.

    That is correct. (edit: I play on PC/NA, but the game is crashing literally as soon as I click "play" on the steam overlay--or as soon as I click the executable if I try to open it directly--I never get to the whole logging in bit.)

    Shouldn't that be irrelevant since server selection is now done ingame and the game doesn't even launch? Seriously wondering...

    No, because of this:

    Yes, unfortunately that error message is directly related to the fact that the European PC/Mac server is down and you can't log in, but you can patch.

    I've just seen that you and others reported this exact issue on the PTS more than a month ago.. I am kinda worried I may not play for a while... lol. :(

    I'm having the same issue. I downloaded the update and now I can't log into the game. I click play and it crashes almost immediately.

    for win 7 don't know if work in another
    1: start - run CMD as administrator
    2: type in: net stop wuauserv
    press Enter and wait when winupdate turn off
    3: turn off your internet and install KB2999226 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2999226/update-for-universal-c-runtime-in-windows)
    4: reset pc and play
