This could do one of 2 things... make the game an awesome place to be for Rpers or kill it because folks cant be @rsed to try to solve all the issues to play it... PLEASE ZOS SORT IT QUICK!!!!

Same problem here, I have been playing game for months with no issues. Please, roll back and
fix it as I cannot play any longer. Everytime I start the game and hit play it just do nothing other
than a blip in the screen. I had try the solutions posted here but, bothing works so far.

Wasn't it a previous update (One Tamriel, I think) that prompted us to update or reinstall what it now says for some is a missing file? I suspect some failed to do so either by declining the prompt or missing it altogether if they were away from their machine when it came up. I certainly included that update on both my machines at the time and haven't had any issues on one of them tonight (I haven't tried the other one).

Make sure you are on Service Pack 1. It's listed in the prerequisites on the MS download page.

Reporting back: The patch installed. I rebooted my PC before I pressed Play. It took quite a while to load the Character Selection screen, but finally did. I then was able to log in and play the game. So it worked for me.

Windows 8.1, Non-steam, EU Server.

I'd like to know this, too. My patience, after four and a half weeks of waiting for a fix and them not fixing it and pushing it live this way, is growing ridiculously thin.

ive been trying to play since 7am its 5pm now....same problems tried all the fixes nothing.

I'm happy to report that I got my game finally working. To get it running again I let every optional update to be installed on my Win 7 Pro and that solved the problem. Hopefully ZOZ will figure which optional specific update(s) is/are needed. I did try the solutions listed in this forum but were of no help to get it running again.

Just finished updating the game... and i can't even get pass the play button.... welp.

Mine worked fine until I downloaded the patch. Now I am getting a fatal error 11. Sigh.

So I had the error 6 crash. I tried to repair the game, update launcher, update software etc. Nothing worked, so I removed the game and every file. Every eso and zenimax related file was deleted, Then I ran ccleaner to make sure nothing was left, and did a full scan. Rebooted and reinstalled the game from scratch (yes it did take time). It worked. Im now running eso just fine. Dont know what was wrong, but maybe try if you dont have anything else to do.

Edit; notice; this is ONLY if you have error 6. The other ones I dont know about, but error 11 is probably the same, as they are related in the tec q and a section.

I believe they are similar. I needed a re-format anyway so this is a good time to do it.

So went back and tried all the updates again and C++ will not install here is the message from the log file:
Error 0x80070666: Cannot install a product when a newer version is installed... I also seem to have C++ 2016 and 2017 which were not there before downloading the patch yesterday. Does reinstalling the game install the missing dll from Visual studio 2015 that is stopping it from running??

No not on steam.. and I only use the launch pad to update and run from the client to access the game.

Windows 8.1, pi-ma-win-crt-heap-l1-1-0.dll missing error, my system says it has all updates installed, the C++ is up to date, I get no changes from all the update links provided in relation to this ESO problem.

Nothing helps, so far.

This has never happened to me before, but exactly since the yesterday's update, I can't log in anymore. Rebooting, reinstalling components, etc didn't work. Full repair neither.

I wanted to share my success in here for those having the same problem as me. There is another thread in the PC tech support forum by Jenadara where they shared this link plugable.com/2016/06/08/windows-7-wont-update-what-to-do/

I wanted to see if I could figure out which of those updates was needed to sort out my problem because, well, because I'm curious like that, so tried ESO after each reboot, anyway, step 4 the "Convenience Rollup" sorted it for me. I hope it might help others with the missing dll problem.

Thanks so much for the info, Aether but the "convenience roll up" and all the other updates in that section are also "not applicable" and will not even install via the standalone installer. Guess I wont be playing for a long time unless ZOS can come up with a fix.

This whole thing is just so incredibly sad and disappointing.

This is honestly the one update I have longed for since launch, and that I was most excited for. And to not be able to play, and have no word of hope of being able to play in the near future, is just gut-wrenching.

Not to mention I'm paying a monthly subscription for a game I can't even play.

Hello, I am experiencing the same issues, and I have tried every fix. My system does not meet requirements, but I have been able to play perfectly until this patch. Now I get the black screen crash with "eso stopped working." Others who DO meet system requirements are having the same issue, yet support refuses to help me. I would love to provide as much info as I can to help figure out this problem.

How can I have my ticket addressed, @ZOS_GinaBruno? I am looking forward to spending money on housing and morrowind, but can't pay if I can't play. Please help!

So, you might have just answered your own question. If your system doesn't meet the minimum system requirements, then this is likely what's preventing you from playing. Something could change in any patch that could suddenly make the game unplayable, even if you were able to previously run it on an older machine. Unfortunately, this is the risk you take when using a machine that falls under the requirements needed to run the game.
