    I have tried to download the update it says it is not applicable for my PC running win 7 64 Bit?? Have never had such C++ issues before this patch... totally stumped now.. Thanks for the assist Zakor but nothing seems to be working.

    Having this issue PC EU (no steam). Which I'm guessing is the same... never had issues before.

    Well I tried everything..uninstalling C++ 15 and reinstalling new version downloading KB suggested...re booting four times.. reinstalling the update.. so I ask again... why was this not addressed before the new update went live since it is clearly an issue that was reported?

    I have spoken with a few folks now who have the same issue and who have tried all the fixes suggested.. they have the same issue : cannot install the fixes as their OS is claiming to be not compatible.... it is impossible to install the "fix" .. has something maybe been missed? Gina??? Have also tried 32 Bit client.. instant crash.??

    Maybe needs a launch pad update to install the missing C++ files pre patch?

    List of things I do every patch to avoid problems .

    1. Download the patch
    2. Defrag the patch
    3. Run a repair of the patch
    4. Use iOrbits Driver booster to update all drivers
    5. Run iOrbits system cleaner to remove all junk files and duplicate folders
    6. Restart PC and Modem
    7. Launch game.

    Yeah I have a similar routine but this time NOTHING seems to work.... I just dot get it why this update needs such a radical change of MS C++.... and the fixes don't seem to work...?

    win 7 is quite more difficult, the reason why I use now win 8.1 professional.

    Win 7 is a beast .....

    I always heard there was one user who still preferred Win 8.1 to Win 7, but I never believed it. Now I've bumped into the guy on this very forum, how much of a coincidence is that :wink: ?!

    I can't install the patch, or play obviously. I try to open it starts to install it gets to about 33% then just stops working, and nothing else on my computer will run until I close the launcher/installer then it works fine again. This has happened 3 times now.

    Also I am running Windows 10 and using Steam.

    I use to be a PVP'er like you but then I took a lag spike to the knee.

    Just imagine how those of us must feel that have been reporting these exact issues for the past 4+ weeks on the test server. :'(

    I agree, I think we've all stayed pretty polite and constructive, considering how long this has been going on. It was bad enough it went on that long on the PTS. But for them to not resolve it and just push it live, leaving us with no way to log into the game, is really disgraceful IMO.

    Never had so many issues with win 7 until ESO... bring back XP.. :) it WORKED

    Vanguard was invented before most folks had a PC that could handle it... EQ2 was a scale up of EQ1 which had THE most horrendous memory management EVER... so .. WHY does this game need so much C++ messing under the hood without a bespoke patch for users??
