Sounds like you're jealous.
He's a 4 time super bowl mvp, and you probably live in your mom's basement.

4 time super bowl mvp. Does that make him a contributing member of society?
That was a rhetorical question. Running around with a ball does not benefit society. People who do the 9 to 5 jobs that barely make ends meet are more important.
A way to charge millions for commercials and watch over payed guys sit on a bench.

I hope this brings in a lot of new players!
I feel like they missed a golden opportunity there. If they had added one of the voiced lines from the trailer (presumably the last bit) and that beautiful Morrowind soundtrack over top of the video it would've gotten a lot more people interested. Those are the kinds of things that make a trailer interesting and stand out (I know it did for me plus the nostalgia for the original Morrowind game... my eyes might've watered a bit lol). Regardless, however, I do agree. I hope this brings in more players and gets ESO the support they deserve.

You're just incorrect -- you're just fundamentally incorrect.
So the conversation is about Brady, but this applies to every top athlete from every sport around the world, and also to a lesser extent, to celebrities in general.
Most of the time, this argument is "They're overpaid" -- that's completely moronic, and I'll address that in a second -- but right now I'm dealing with this garbage: "Running around with a ball does not benefit society. People who do the 9 to 5 jobs that barely make ends meet are more important."
You're saying that he's no more of a contribution to society than someone who makes $11 an hour managing a Denny's. You are significantly understating how much of a positive effect he has on quite literally millions of people on an emotional level. If he inspires just one person to better themselves, to follow their dreams, or to never give up -- he's already surpassed the unnamed Denny's worker in terms of benefit to society -- and we all know it isn't just one person that he inspires. Not going to get into Brady's personal story because I want this to be about more than him, but in terms of inspirational success stories -- I can't think of a better one than his. The four MVPs are just a part of what makes him, him and he's one of the most inspirational, and influential athletes of all time. This is about "Benefit to society" and he directly benefits members of society far more than your manager at Denny's. Not even mention his work with the community or charitable donations, just forget all that -- you don't those things to make this argument.
Could someone explain what the Superbowl is please. Struggling to understand why people are losing their 5hit?

what is superbowl?!?!?!?
JK
The Superbowl is like the World Cup of American football.
Even I watched it when I was living in America, and I don't even watch real football. Although American football looks more like rugby, which is more interesting to watch (and play), except for some reason they stop every time it's about to get interesting and everyone goes back to the start.
But as people have said it's also popular for the half-time show and the adverts. If you want to get something on TV seen by most of America that's the time to do it so companies tend to go all-out.
To be able to afford this slot means that ESO is kicking ass financially and they believe it hasn't hit it's potential revenue mark, to provide some perspective Blizzard did this last during the WOTLK expansion when WoW has around 9- 10 mil subs. Now before the [snip] go nuts I'm not claiming ESO has anywhere near this, what I am saying is this game has done the same turn around as FFXIV, it has gone from one foot in the grave to a massive success.

Yep, and if it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't even have noticed that SuperBowl was yesterday.
It's funny how american culture spreads all over the world in so many aspects, but football (and SuperBowl) somehow don't get exported. They remain a 100% US thing.
