Crown price ranges are realistic or crazy for unfurnished houses?

Too high especially for the manors & large homes, considering what they have to offer in regards to player caps, the lack of functionaliy and the cost in crowns and/or gold to buy furniture.

Not that bad. If you think its too much dont buy it. I have alot of crowns since you get 9k for every 6 months sub which is like 10 euro per month. Considering one or 2 beers goes for that in the bar 10 bucks a month is quite cheap for the amount of entertainment you get. And free crowns with it.

Just rewatched that part of the stream to double check the numbers, they are specifically:
      Apartments (1000)
      Small (3100 to 4000)
      Medium (5000 to 6500)
      Large (7500 to 8500)
      Manor (10,000)

For unfurnished houses, and Gina said "around" this many crowns. So it is just an average. We had been asking for an idea of the prices, very pleased that they gave us them!!

10k too high for a manor? Someone people would complain if Zo$ sold it for 2gold.

I am actually shocked the prices are that small. I thought for certain the manors would be 20k minimum. I am estaic to hear 10k....I don't really care if it is furnished or not. Decorating the thing is the fun part for me.

If they are cheap on crown store no one will buy housing items in game and the actual in game economy will suffer because of it. Making the prices in the high range protects the game economy.

protecting the in game economy means absolutely nothing if you drive away your playerbase with overpriced real world currency items.

Housing is purely unnecessary to purchase and isn't required. A nice house with a courtyard and all is 300k in game gold which isn't bad.

No one is forced to buy a completely cosmetic item. The outrage is ridiculous, it seems like most players want cheap pay to win items in the crown store. The Crown Store is 100% not required for the game.

      From ESO Live today.

In that case, not surprised at all. Stop complaining people, if you dont like it, buy it with gold. Been saying for a while that I expected the furnished manors to be about 15k-25k crowns. Did they mention how much these would be furnished?

10k for an unfurnished manor if anything is lower than I expected. There will be thousands of count/countesses walking around on patch day. I know people that dropped way more than 30k crowns on crown crates.

wait, you were expecting an in game purchase to be roughly $2,000?

Dude, can I interest you in literally anything I own?
What country do you live in where it costs $2,000 to buy 25,000 crowns? In Canada without any crown sales or other discounts it would cost just under $250 CAD.

Maybe if these were the furnished prices, but they can't even pick a price on those yet. They say they will be a steal bc of how many items you get and their "value" will be a huge discount. I'm sorry but 400 crowns for cups and chairs is not a value. Should have copied swtor's system and made the items consumed and added to inventory. Excuses like players will have 1 of 1000s of items instead of 1000s of 1 item like the craft bag is bs. The items are listed for crowns as single items so surely they can be in a bag once purchased. More features to come, but I suspect at a price. Want storage 20k crowns, want furniture bag more crowns.

The prices are very high and for the furnished homes... they look very sparsely furnished. It's kinda ridiculous how empty and sparse the furnished homes are. I understand that companies need to make money but I'm really on the line if I'm even gonna buy one now. I can afford it no problem but I could do something else that means more to me with that money.

eh its sensible, with the crown price quite high is expected for ESO+ member that pile up the crown

and also the houses are purchasable with gold, small to large are quite affordable, medium to large are more than enough for single player, you have your choice

There are a few factors I weigh when it comes to deciding how much something "costs" from the crown store.

~Can I get it in game through other means? Even if other means takes some time?
~How is that in relation to the amount of crowns that are dolled out as part of the ESO Plus subscription.
~How many "exclusives" hit the crown store that are generally (within reason) desired for my character.

      So... taking that into account...

~Yes. I can get these houses in game by hunting down gold through the various in-game activities. Some of them are steeper than others, but there's meant to be a progression arc behind it, as was indicated in ESO Live. Having a Manor is not meant to be something that everyone gets right off the bat with in-game currency.
~I get 1500 crowns per month subscribed. So... reasonably speaking, I can get a decently sized house in a few months. That's if I want to bypass the progression systems in the game to get what I want.
~If i'm being honest with myself, and reasonable, the fact remains that I often end up with a lot of crowns extra considering that there aren't a ton of things that I have to have in the store. Does this mean that I have a stockpile, often? Yes. Is ZOS Counting on that? Probably.
      ~I don't need a manor. I want a manor, sure, but I don't need one. So......

.. yeah, long winded explanation, the prices don't bother me. I went "Whoa" at first, but then just said to myself, "You know what? I'll earn it in game." And that was that.

In some ways furnishing is irrelevant, because different people will want completely different amounts and types of furnishings. I highly doubt most people who are interested in housing will really want to buy a default fully furnished home. For most of the people interested in housing they'll want to customize the furnishing entirely.

Of course, the average cost to furnish a home is somewhat relevant, but also very difficult to quantify considering how much variety we'll see.

10k crowns for an unfurnished manor seems like a bargain when the latest crown store motif is 6k. But it means nothing to me. zos will never get more than my sub for 1s and 0s. it's fine for those with a surplus of cash to waste on a game, but I pity those who really can't afford the expense but can't control that impulse to buy.

I came back to the game last month after a long break because of my excited for Homestead.

I've done nothing since that time but prepare: Gathering mats, farming for gold, completing achievements. I even purchased more than 10,000 crowns to be able to both get the house and some of the cool crown only furniture.
Really? Ever thought about buying 9000 crowns by subbing for 6 month getting both? :joy:

The prices are as expected. There are loads of players hoarding their crowns due to ESO plus. The HOUSES are much more than mere wearables or mounts. And most HOUSES are even cheaper than some of the pets. Nearly nobody will pay real money for a 10000+ crowns island, right. But those islands are not for F2P players. And as mentioned above, it is not very bright to buy that much crowns without subbing anyway
