What I personally feel is perhaps the most secretly awful non balance change we've had in PvP in a while. The change essentially perpetuates lagtastic fights at the bridge and milgates by removing the ability for people to even momentarily cut off the outposts by hitting connected keeps. Now once you have +60 people turtled in an outpost, and ofc +60 people just running there because pug reasons, the game essentially becomes unplayable both because of the resulting lag and the fact that 90% of each alliance is literally fighting in two\three places. I realize most people have little to no interest in really playing the map, but that doesn't mean it should be nearly impossible to force everyone off of specific locations in the interest of providing quick and reliable access to fights.

    I like the change and think people should be able to rez at outposts
    It saves the double load screen, which I am very much for.

    But it has made combat.... odd. If an outpost is being front door'd you can rez and in 1second be back in the fight with full resources. At least with keeps prior to flagging you can kill someone and they'll take 10 seconds to come back (with less stamina), giving you time to setup siege and/or regen resources and/or kill some more to even the numbers.

    I'm all for rezzing at outposts only because of the unpredictable load screens, otherwise I wouldn't care either way.

    The days of people playing the map (PS4 NA Scourge) are long gone. I would be too, if only my wife would move on to another game.

    Resable outposts has been a change that has been long requested. I think it is a positive one.

    I personally would rather 60 people camped in an outpost then an alliance getting pushing to gate keeps and loose the will to fight.

    There is an upside to this. You can easily siege keeps behind outposts when previously players were always double porting from keep to outpost anyway. Something you cannot do so easily if players could not spawn on outposts.

    Pugs will be pugs bacon. Its just the reality of console mmorpgs.

    I guess I'm in the minority for voting no, but I don't understand how ZOS removes doors from towers to prevent farming, and in the same update opens up unlimited, no-cooldown respawning at outposts. All they did was move the venue, and strengthen the practice at the new location.

    No, he plays a Sorc. He got emperor in Scourge (only poped locked ps4 na campaign) opening day for EP with his Guild this month. They run a large 24 man group from what i can see (used to be 12 man).

    To stay on topic though, "the bridge" and Bleakers always has like 60 people there at all times prime-time. Bacon i believe is tilted because his group cannot wipe them back to gate keeps and has to deal with massive lag to even attempt to dispurse the zergs somewhere else. Even with Emperor in group the insane zergs and lag inevitably gets your group wiped. Numbers win which shouldnt be the case when 3/4 are potatoes.

    I feel his concern. Thats 1 reason i gank, i can avoid lag.

    The only downside I can see is if you wanted to siege a keep behind the outpost to cut it off. You can no longer do that. Also, chances are unless you have a large enough group your siege won't amount to much because they can just res at the outpost and run half the distance they would otherwise have to, or port to the keep immediately if you get called out in zone.

    Less travel and less load screens are good though, imo.

    He absolutely does gank, if only occasionally. Tried it on me outside Nikel. Came out of nowhere and bam. Luckily I equip magelight. He was successful with others though.

    Hes a magicka sorc, its so rare for them to enter sneak. Must have been waiting for his group to rally or the right moment to siege. Id consider it an honor or something. I've never seen it happen over my two years playing with him.

    I always thought the Outposts were intended to be the strategic "weak links" in the system. Being able to rez at them now seems to cancel that purpose.

    yeah, I'm pretty sure I've run across you a few times out there in scourge...always makes me think just how much I do love bacon...

    as far as the question at hand - generally, I appreciate anything new on the map, no tower doors for resources, reinstituting forward camps, rezzing at outposts, etc...

    actually, other than placing the flags in IC and taking away cp from azura's star - I've been pretty cool with most changes to the map...

    hey your emperorness...if you ever get bored come grace us with your presence over in the campaign section - we got us a little spot for scourge...would love to hear a view from the top :)

    The same argument was made when people thought two minute timers on camps were awesome even though it rendered massive zergs literally unwipable if they were ready to spam them. To me being spared the one load screen every so often certainly isn't worth removing the ability to stop such a zergfest\lagfest from occurring between two factions at one of the milgates\bridge. Yes they were ofc quite plentiful before aswell, but if one of the factions had even 5-6 players that wanted to end it all they had to do was flag an empty keep. Yes its PvDoor, but its PvDoor that has a positive effect and is a result of overwhelming numbers stacking in a single place.

    That is my point exactly though, the brain dead nature of 99% of the playerbase has brought game breaking lag from literally occurring in dethrones only to a nightly occurrence. And my guild has taken anywhere from 5-16 ppl and flipped Ales\Alessia while in an effort to break up the factionVfaction. You know what happened? We attract maybe 5-6 people or maybe an 12 man emp group if someone is crowned while the rest of the population sits at gates only to run, get 0-3 kills, rez, and repeat. I'm glad the three times a day we rez at an outpost I cut out a loading screen, but its not worth suffering constant dethrone level lag prime time.

    Perhaps something else to consider, what about allowing people to rez at outpost only while connected to back keeps? It saves people a load screen but still allows smaller groups to bust up congestion at specific points on the map when it's bringing the sever to a halt.

    Sounds good to me. Although personally I think you should only be able to rez at any keep if it's connected to the border.

    I like your idea. There are many medium scale groups who go and take an outpost between each opposing alliance. This would prevent whole factions from spawning in them thus creating milegate/outpost issues. This also would force players camped in an outpost to use forward camps or spawn at a keep somewhere else.

    I think keeps should be flagged when all 3 resources are capped. Thats just me though. This would create more flagged keeps around the map and create more small-scale pvp. Zergs can only flip one keep at a time, however many small-groups can flag multiple keeps and create havoc. This would create small-groups who can actually impact the flow of cryodill.

    Flagged how? Capping all three resources already breaks the transport link, so porting isn't possible; do you think it should disable rezzing too? That would certainly be inline with what I suggested above - no rezzing if the transport link is broken.

    Well in between the transit lines use to be my favorite place to pvp so people riding their horses was good for me it gave me smaller groups to fight. Now with outpost rezing and forward camps it's just not as fun anymore. It's basically just one 3 way fight at a outpost and the rest of the map is dead

    I like the change... However I agree it did worsen the Alessia bridge situation. I think the best solution going forward is to redesign the bridge to make it less of a funnel - an idea for which I already made a thread but only received some trollish and facetious replies. : /

    Yes essentially that. No death porting to places with broken transit. Thats why i suggested capping all 3 resources flag the keep anyways since there would be no difference. You would have to have a forward camp or run there.
