[Player Suggestion] Weapon Dye, Transmogrification, and Trait Rerolling

I can see how it must look, but try it from another angle. As somebody trying to get a decent set for end game content, having it look hideously ugly or a style I have no power over to change, really makes the game frustrating. It comes down to a decision, look terrible or simply don't run that vet raid/dungeon with your friends that you really wanted to.

I am also working hard to get Master Crafter, but I scratch my head in confusion, asking myself "why on earth do I grind for these rare motif drops, if my gear is all sorted and made, and I no longer can benefit from a crafted set!?"

The answer? A transmog system where you can use the appearances of the motifs you have discovered and learned.

All great suggestions - I'm 100% for all of them!

1. Yes since we have red metal in the game being able to dye swords etc. can't be worse. I think most of us want "metal" color anyway

2. About time to implement something here - how it's done doesn't matter. Either as a crafter perk that we can re-style or maybe the simplest sollution is the seperate apperance slot for every armor slot. I noticed last night how important look of my characters is to me: my favorite player had lost his glow after switching from craftet gear to a dropped one. I don't RP but still I really care about how I look while fighting

2. - I put on one of the Orsinium costumes, hid the helmet and felt fabulous again! The character felt better to play again and I performed better.

3. This or some kind of token / dungeon currency system would be nice to get in the game. If they go the crafters path this is a really nice perk to have for master crafters! Otherwise I would like some token system that is locked to specific dungeons. So every time you run eg. WGT you earn a token. Every set piece you get in that dungeon can be pawned for a token for that dungeon. So for aprox. 100 tokens you can buy the exact piece you want from that dungeon. Numbers can be different but that would let you pick something you want on about every 20th run.

Slight bump for those who may want to read this. Also, there is another thing of the second item, Transmogrification, that I would like to add as a feature:

Apart from just being able to transmogrify one motif to another (i.e. Imperial to Breton, or Dunmer to Khajiit for instance), also allow the player to determine what new appearance the transmogrified item would look. This pertains specifically to motifs that evolve, like the basic racial motifs as well as exotic ones like Primal, Barbarian, Dwemer, etc., which all have an evolution of appearance based on the material tier used. (i.e. Iron > Steel > Orichalcum > Dwarven > Ebony)

I propose this as there are some motifs which offer a more simple look that certain players may be looking for, as opposed to the highly decorated armor/ornate weapon look that they can't help because the armor they use is at a higher (or the highest) material tier, for instance.

It's been a long, long while since I posted this.

Just wanted to say it's heartening to know that, as of the release of Update 17 on Live, all of the suggestions I've ever posted on these forums (found on my signature) have been added - including the trait rerolling that I wasn't even too serious about. Lol.

Thank you, ZOS. I'd like to think that I speak for the playerbase in this regard: Whether or not it was intentional, you make it feel like you listen to our suggestions and feedback, and that's awesome.
