is that going to mess something up? You can delete her btw. My main account has 8 of the 8 slots filled so i hope it doesn't make my account explode.

I think she does mean not to create characters you actually want, as you are likely to lose them.Favourite NPC: Wine-For-All

nope, I almost never use the laucher, always use the desktop shortcut, also today, and now again I tried it, can not find my chars....can not play 0 -

Thanks for getting on top of this. I was about to leave a heated message for ESO support before I came cross this. knowing that it is not an isolated incident is reassuring that the issue will be resolved...hopefully quickly.0 -

Hmm I wish I could do that, but using the Steam client. I am positive that using the desktop shortcut to bypass launchers etc, would help on some issues regarding latency/fps. 0 -

✭✭✭since people are reporting they also get the intro cinematic, i have a theory: it's the launcher's fault.
anyone who directly starts via exe that also has these problem? is it probably a good workaround for those who haven't logged in yet (still at work here)?
PS: should we assume downtime sonn? or even a rollback?
no it is not the laucher`s fault, I tried today afternoon multiple times to run the game directly trought the exe file desktop shortcut and it did not work0 -

They deleted our servers, eating our chars for dinner, they also said that there will be a 1 month rollback, they also said, that every player would get 10K gold and one free rare mount of their choice, 20 Exp scrolls and 20 crown crates for free as compensation!!!

I think she is worried that you will be corrupting your existing characters by doing so (i.e., if you have characters 1-5, and create another new character in slot *1*, it may overwrite your pre-existing slot one character. Similarly with duplicate name characters.2 -

✭I'm so glad I am at work right now lol. I would probably have a heart attack if I logged in to see all of my characters gone. I feel bad for everyone that had this happen today. That initial rage one must have felt. Merrien✭✭✭I have to say, I'd at least like some credit in my ESO plus account for the days I missed out with the bugs going on. That's at the least. It'd be nice if they did more, and/or acknowledged it's a real pain for those of us who only have X amt of time to spend on their game. Esp. those who pay for ESO plus.0 -
