Saw 60+ EP take Arrius farm back last night. Guess we must feel strongly that DC/AD should get off our lawn.

Good campaign, and in the end the winner was the faction with the most effective (and online) leadership. Well done DC.

In a 17 point difference that sucks.

It's interesting you mention that, cause peoples in DC zone chat were complaining about Team Orange all day 1.0 Yet I definitely saw AD push EP the hardest yesterday. I wasn't believing the Team Orange crap for a second.

Why wouldn't they push EP. AD was in the third place and their only chance was to lower EP's score enough to take second.

i kind of did find it a little interesting the last couple of days to see AD push blue road a bunch while DC kept pushing to roebeck all the time...

however - with that narrow a final score - don't really think you can fault any of the different alliances for this result - this could have easily gone in each factions favor...

it's funny - this was exactly the type of campaign which i dream of...relatively balanced pops and close score for the entire campaign...however, the conspiracy theorist in me wonders - how hard would it be for zos to manipulate the scores - which in turn definitely affect faction populations...

the easy farming of transmute crystals have really helped bring in a bunch of pvers it would seem...i remember years ago when i was trying to figure out what percentage of eso players participated in cyryodiil i checked the achievement i had for "capturing a resource in cyrodiil"...i think it was around 12 or 13% at the time...i'll check when i get home - but, hopefully the percentage has risen a bit...

which is a little misleading due to folks with multiple characters and such - how important is it really to get your mule or crafter caltrops or vigor :-)

each of my characters finished ranked anywhere from 2,200 to 3,500 within their factions with 180k to 104k alliance points...so maybe there were close to 5,000 or so character participants for each faction...

i'm probably at the extreme end with a total of 10 characters playing in vivec - but, i'm, guessing someone having 2 or 3 active characters playing within one or multiple factions isn't that rare a thing amongst all the player participants...

if i was to guess - i'd say we probably had around seven to eight thousand or so different players check in during the recent vivec campaign...considering i was pretty sure those crazy loading screens would scare everyone away from cyrodiil - that's not a bad number at all...

the optimist in my wants to believe that we may be able to maintain these pop numbers for the foreseeable future...hopefully whatever kind of widget that makes the transmogrification system work gets incorporated in to cyrodiil also...

oh yeah - back to my initial conspiracy type thought - if zos is in some way artificially balancing the scores and player balance during this last campaign - woo hoo - keep right on with it...hopefully they can help spread the wealth with the campaign victories also...

AD could of pushed more resources, at least in the last 5 hours of the campaign. When I got off last night, DC was 1 point behind EP.

Sounds like AD wasn't grabbing enoguh from both sides. Sure they took BRK/Sej/Farra/Ash/Nikel during the night, but they didn't take enough points to move up.

with a lot of new fresh bodies piling in to Vivec it will be interesting to see what new faction score trends may develop...

one of my dreams upon dreams would be having some game masters come around to clean up the cyrodiil zone chat...

a lot of really cool and fun folks get drowned out amidst all the profanity and lowest common denominator back and forth...

there's some really sharp, and cool folks playing eso - which is normally not that well reflected in chat...

it's one of the main reasons I wanted to interact here on the forums...

sadly, even here on the forums, the competitive nature some folks have spill over in so many threads...

always fascinates me looking through a thread wherein a few people will go page after page back and forth - to serve what purpose???

alliance war wise - my only real complaint though over the years is when one faction gets a deathgrip on winning the campaign, month after month...

whatever small impact (we may be talking sub-atomic level :)) i can make will be towards trying to help a different faction win each campaign...

as always - very thankful to have you all to speak with <3

hopefully not - but, you're right - i remember that brk to alessia corridor being a major issue in defeating DC, for months on end, a year or so ago...

seemed until EP and AD started staying on their own side of the niben river, DC would live at roebeck and chalman...

Well the bigger reason DC stopped steamrolling Scourge at the end of '16 wasn't because EP and AD finally got their act together, it was because a lot of the better DC players had gotten so bored from map capping that they started just AP farming rather than worrying about winning as well as a bunch went to AD. I was on DC during those late '16 Campaigns and that was the topic in zone chat was nobody cared they were losing, they were bored, and they were just focused on farming AP.

After AD then won a couple Campaigns by big margins it resulted in a lot of alliance hopping to the winning side and that's how we wound up with an AD that won almost every Campaign in '17.

True :) I guess everyone is just different to me as someone that thinks loyalty matter's others might not it's just difficult to understand guess maybe I should spend less time trying to figure out why certain things are the way they are and more time enjoying the game lol I see how it could be fun to play on another alliance especially if a persons group of friends are the type that's into competitive game play after all it's just a game at the end of the day ppl should be able to play the way that makes it fun for them

@Jake1576 ...you're absolutely correct - loyalty is important...

when it comes to faith, family, and friends (in some instances work also) - loyalty and integrity are both extremely important...

always been fortunate in meeting good people along the journey...i have a handful of lifelong friends...at 54, I feel very lucky to be able to say that...known each for at least 15 years now...

i'm both committed and loyal to each...same goes for my family and god kids...

in regards to eso and the alliance war - I participate to escape reality...

I have more than enough commitments in my real life which do require my loyalty - that it brings me a great deal of joy to be able to go somewhere, which still contains other people, but, yet i'm isolated enough that I can be free to do as I please...

even in my real life to a certain degree - the lone wanderer role suits me well...

I relish the sense of freedom the game provides...

Jake, if you've been fortunate enough to develop some true and meaningful relationships in game - it only makes sense that you would feel a sense of loyalty to them...

I have a vast majority of the undaunted monster helms/shoulders in the game in all weight classes. I'm considering re-traiting those.

Starting with putting Divines on Slimecraw and working my way towards other DPS/Assist sets like Veli/Selenes/Shadowrend/Infernal Guardian/Engine Guardian/Molag Kena

Then putting Sturdy into all my Tank sets; Malaubeth, Swarm Mother, Chudan, and Pirate Skeleton.

Since I got 2-50 crystal geodes plus from getting a bunch of extra crystals, I have all my Bone Pirate weapons transmuated. 1 Shield I put into Study, 1 axe sharpened, 1 dagger infused, then my 2H sword I put nirnhoned on it.

But yeah, if Stoney invites me I'll hang up my yellow uniform. Sanj took his guild to Ark. I've been sticking it out, hoping they'll come back to ESO. After this amount of time I have to face it. They're not. And guild slots are too precious to waste.

His only goal is run groups with people that are fun to play with. Winning/playing objectives is a distant secondary goal. Funny you mentioned bone pirate. I just made a few pieces of that impen. I have an extra Bloodspawn helm divines, can’t decide if I want to impen it or just leave it alone.

I had quite a collection of legendary gears that had crap traits. The return you get from decon is really bad.

I guess Stoney is more of a legend than I realized. My buddy runs with him a bit, but I feel really out of place in his group. he’s very organized and extremely coordinated. I’m not there yet. It’s zerg life for me. Haha

Btw, what is slimecraw good for? I have it, but never used it.

    SLIME CRAW

(1 items) Adds 833 Weapon Critical

(1 items) Adds 833 Spell Critical

(2 items) Gain Minor Berserk at all times, increasing your damage done by 8%.

It's good for classes who don't have native access to Minor Berserk, good for PvE in some cases where you're not getting Combat Prayer. 1pc is also very good.

Bone Pirate is just great for Stam classes right now. I wanted to get more gear diversity, so last week I spent 30~ hours grinding the dungeons chests for the weapons and a shield. Got lucky and got the items I needed in such a short time. My StamWarden is sitting on 2,200 stam recov with buffs with that set on.

I have 3 Bone Pirate bows with bad traits I could also re-trait. 1 of those bows was infused so I kept that.

One day I'll finish that Lich grind I was doing a couple of months ago. I got 1 training Lich Sword and would love to get an additional sword for my MagSorc for Pvp.

not sure why - but, your post really stuck with me @Jake1576 ...

I guess because I was in a somewhat similiar dilemma about a year and a half ago...

for the first six months or so i went completely solo in cyrodiil...i finally realized though there was a ton about sieging and playing that I had no clue about..

started grouping up fairly often for the next six months...

came to find out that for whatever reason I just really got along well with the players from AD...

ended up joining some AD pvp guilds and made a couple of friends (not lifelong or nothing - just folks I enjoyed talking and playing with)...

I still wanted to play all my characters on the same map though (no sure yet if the map name had changed to scourge)...wanted to keep them all "in the action"...

ended up getting kicked from a bunch of guilds (both AD and EP) for cross factioning - which i totally understood...

what I started to realize though - when i would play my DC characters, I didn't really want to attack AD, and, felt kind of bad attacking EP...

this went on for a few months until I figured out that if I really wanted to invest fully in to each character - I had to go rogue...

when I fight folks now - it's nothing personal...

most of the time anyways - although every once in a while I'll see a name and my blood will boil a bit and I'll go all in on fighting that particular player...

happened just the other day when I saw an AD player named qstraw(?) that used to beat the crap out of me in Imperial City, back in the old arena district days...

because the game has been around now for a couple of years - a lot of the make up of different guilds and raid teams have changed...

hopefully you'll be lucky and your group of pvp friends will remain constant - if though you ever find yourself the last player standing within that group - the life of a ronin ain't so bad :)

howdy @kylewwefan - i hope your 2018 is starting off smoothly...

i get the chance to correspond with a bunch of folks around the globe in the work i do (shipping) - had to start reminding myself that it wasn't a "new" year in a lot of the places around the world :)

ugh, since they switched up the rewards for the worthy system - epic pvp rings are pretty dirt cheap...i sell most now for 650 gold...marksman, transmutation, vicious death some others may go for 1,500 to 3,000...for the most part though - the market is now saturated with epic rings...

the trick now for completing pvp sets is getting a hold of the weapons, which you need to either go to one of the towns and rng your way to what you're looking for, or, find the quest or boss associated with that particular piece...

i still have some unused stones from 2 campaigns ago now :# i've been going through the different character inventories - i still have a bunch more transmuting to do though...i only have one max crafter - so, it's a bit of a process to move stuff around...

it's great having a wide array of characters to be able to play - some nights though (like last night) - i'll have to spend a couple of hours just going through everyone's mail, doing some mount training, buying drink/food or gear stuff...

gearing up and prepping for battle is a big component of the game, and, something i enjoy...sometimes though i wonder how easy the game would be if i only had a few active characters...oh well, at this point it would be too hard to choose...

more than likely even if a new class comes along - i'll stay with the number of characters i have...now, if they introduce a new race also - that'll be a little tougher decision :)
