Serious questions to the Magicka Community

How many of yall are like me and are tried of not only being gimped for not wanting to play with swords and bows, but are purposely being punished and discriminated apond because of that fact?

How many of yall magicka players feel used, battered, and spitted apond?

How many of yall magicka player feel like ZOS has continued to betray us, just for wanting to be at a leveled playing field with stamina users, and has continued to nerf us or buff stamina users in pure spite?

How many of yall magicka players feel like ZOS is just trying to secretly tell us to go away and play and support another game because our business and money is not welcomed here?

How many of yall magicka players' multi-month subscriptions are coming to a close somewhere in between this month?

If you are mainly a magicka player in ESO then plead with me to ZOS in the only way I currently know how without just flat pulling the plug. Post photos on how much love and support you have giving to ZOS in hopes of providing us a fun and balanced exprience where we are not just punching bags for non magicka based players to get EGO boosts of off.

I'll be the first but hopefully not the last magicka based players to show ZOS our level of support and that MAGICKA PLAYERS ALSO MATTERS.

just switched from stam sorc to mag DK in IC. I can survive longer and take on 2+ players at once and i suck at PVP.
dont see what the problem is really.

Magicka user should get a spectral bow or skill morphs for magic under the bow. Also would love to see elemental gauntlets.

Do got to say things are kind of getting out of hand with stams superiority. Not sure how much momentum this campaign will get, as sm1 said it'll probably get locked down, but lets give them the opportunity to pass this popularizing Dual wieldable elemental weapon concept around the office, before we call rallys against an already broke game. That may not live to see its estimated ten year mark.

You know what.... people like you OP are the problem. Magicka is totally 100% fine. If anything Stamina is not on par with Magicka yet and needs to get buffed a bit.

Luckily, ZOS is intelligent enough to see past the Magicka QQ you write and created balanced sets to counteract OP Magicka this patch.





See? Total balance....

Even got this new set to help out Stam that goes well with a Master Sword. Totally clever build that no one has been using at all on PTS.....


Also Destruction and Restoration Staff weapon Ults are OP.

Bow, DW, 2H, and 1H/S Ults are weak. Plz buff.

The devs are definitely stam main, also Destruction staff ult is suck, no one is going to use that skill

I see what you did their very crafty indeed. You see this thread doesn't need to live long. It just needs to get view by that one guy in upper management or that one logical investor. If that happens I'll call this thread a total win. Not good business to completely alienate %50 of your playerbase, causes alot of lost chances to make sales from happy players having the time of their lives from a balanced game.

My My High Elf Sorc Alt welcomes his role as crafter, chef, brewer, potion maker and overall go-fer boy for his guilds. I might even buy him one of those pretty dresses in the crown store.

That was a good joke you found from zenimax, because obviously they don't still think stam needs to catch up with magic?
Not after all the roll dodge, block, poison, & melee proc sets they've added to the game.

OP. I thought magicka was just for healers?

I'm kidding. I sympathize with you. I've had these feelings at one point or another, but I'm trying to move past them and see what the actual PTS testing unearths. I'm also hopelessly hanging onto the idea that things might change in future iterations of the PTS before it goes live.

I chuckled when the two devs playing DDs at PAX were stamina.

It really feels like ZOS forgets how magicka even works. There's been literally zero good magic sets that weren't just old, upscaled sets introduced since Thieves Guild, yet they manage to pump out one or two good or even great stamina sets every patch.

Would love to see devs playing a magicka build other than sorc, stuck with only destro staff, lackluster damage, no burst options, fewer usable sets, having to equip a useless weapon to have one decent heal (or a dot heal that you need to pray to actually target you and not some fool 28 meters away).

I've already canceled my sub and retired from the game.

That destro ult was just adding insult to injury, not that I had any hope of them actually adding anything decent to magicka builds anyway.

Eso+ bought, Imperial & explorer edition, all DLCs, lots of crown packs, and now you can just kiss anything else from me goodbye.

Couldn't care less for the next 'update', I'm off playing Skyrim enhanced edition. And hey, that's absolutely free as well.

I am not quite feeling that bad just yet. But if these changes do in fact go live with more stamina buffs and magicka neglect, I might just be heading back to space in Eve Online or go from just testing Star Citizen to completely getting immersed in it's alpha and beyond phases. Just got finish setting up my X-55 Rhino Hotas Flight System and Voice Attack/HCS Sound Pack for my space and flight simulation games I've been neglecting for the past 3 or 4 hours lol.

Just might be time for me to take that year and a half break from ESO. Instead of getting so emotional over someone's product which hates and punishes me and people like me, who likes to play with spells and staves and the such. Would love to continue to play and support ESO but not at the cost of me maining a stamina based playstyle just because my beloved play style and not viable, or me being a punching bag just because I refuse to mainly play with swords and bows.

Yeah I was trying it out on just normal mobs and it's pretty subpar. Too expensive, sad little damage and awkward to use. Even the animation is sad. First time I cast it, I couldn't see where it went! The yellow circle targeted but the animation was nearly non-existent. Kinda like a visual definition of magicka dd usefulness now. :..(

Used to be, that the tradeoff between magicka and stamina was stamina wrecked face but Magicka was more durable.
Magicka was also more sustainable, as given pushing yourself to the limit with Stam often ment the healer needed to babysit you with shards and repentence, to say nothing of range.

I wonder if that's still the case.

My magicka Templar is just fine thanks.

And I'm going to do a bunch of theory crafting for my Sorc when Update 12 hits too.
