I died at Nik and went to Sej because it was blue. I didn't go there because I knew the pugz was there. I just went there because I had a feeling it was going to be attacked. I was there, and pugz were there. EP showed up and WE ( that includes me, pugz and whoever else was there ) killed EP repeatedly. We also killed AD repeatedly. It was fun, and I was actually shocked that WE wiped so many EP.

On the flip side, when Pugz did come over to the home side, they didn't take all our home keeps alone. It was the entire alliance working together.

Not sure what point you are trying to make, I play the way I want. In that situation, I thought DC had enough players to defend after Ales was taken I went back to the home side. I also mentioned in zone chat that it was pointless to hold Sej, and Allessia when we can't hold our home keeps.

I find it silly that everything I say in this thread you and many others disagree with when most of it is the truth. You always try to find ways to discredit everything I say.

I find it ironic that you do the same thing. It seems like if DC isn't dominating, you don't reply or acknowledge the map. Even to gratify worthy fights that you would have been apart of even if you lost.

And to be honest, those zerg complaints are getting pretty annoying. Every faction zerg these day in bwb anyway.

I'm just tired of this Elitist mentality that I see everywhere nowadays. Its not cause you killed someone 1v1 that it's a bad person or even bad player. Some players are just trying new stuff out, or maybe their gear is getting old or maybe he's just having a bad day! And don't forget that WE WERE ALL Newbs once. Those new players need time to get better.

That's why my guild will always be open to everyone, good or bad, Ts no TS. We will work together and get better.
I consider myself as a pretty good player now (on magdk at least) but I will never be an Elitist and spit on the new players...

Sorry for the rant, I just held those thoughts for a while.

I completely agree. While I definitely prefer the smaller scale combat over "zerging", I don't begrudge other players for running with larger groups. Hell, I'll spend quite a bit of time zerg-surfing myself if the map is really active or I can't find small-scale fights. Part of the brilliance of Cyrodiil's design is that it can cater to multiple different play-styles; whether you like playing solo, duo, small group, large group, whatever. Sure, large groups have an advantage over solo players/smaller groups, and it can be frustrating to be running around solo and get completely run over by a zerg, but at the same time those players are still playing the game the way it was meant to be played, so I find it difficult to be particularly critical of them for it.

I'm not a big fan of the "haha I'm so much better than you" attitude either. Not only is skill such a subjective thing to try to measure in this game, but as you pointed out, there are so many other variables that can contribute to how well somebody performs. There's nothing wrong with being proud of killing somebody, but to belittle that person because of it is really distasteful, and just makes one seem like a poor winner. Instead of trying to put other players down, people should be trying to elevate other players to help create a more fun and competitive PVP environment for everybody.

The strangest thing about this is, a lot of the people who complain about zergs consider themselves to be good/superior/above "zerging," or talk about 1vXing and whatnot.

It's nonsense. If you go to a contested area with a small group, or flip a resource solo or something, you have to intend to be outnumbered. Otherwise what's the point. Sometimes you are TOO outnumbered to make a go of it, but you don't get to pick EXACTLY the number of enemies show up.

If we flip a resource and get 12-18 customers, it's gonna be a good time. If we get 6 it's boring. If we get 24+, it's pointless. That's okay, there isn't a signup sheet, "well we can only send 12 to the resource, lets get in line, shortest to tallest" or some nonsense.

Same with solo play. X is an unknown. X isn't "3-5 is good, I can handle that but it's still impressive, 7 though, that's foul play." Sometimes X is 24. You died in a video game. Woo.

More top-down complaints about zerging (see: AD this summer) have some merit, when there is an organized effort to zerg the everloving tinklejuice out the campaign for an extended period--but when other small group leads complain about getting zerged or whatnot, it's just laughable.

At some point along the line, somebody apparently decided that if you aren't constantly pushing for emp, or posting "frag clips" fighting a bunch of light attacking enemies, or making outlandish claims about you and your alliances superiority, you don't count as a good player.

@Defialed don't get me wrong, i'm not bashing on elite guilds. I've ran a few times with The Fourth Faction, when I found DC too dominant and it's a LOT of fun stomping over zergs that are 2-3x our numbers. All I'm saying is that some elite players are really over themselves and consider pretty much everyone else as worthless trash.

Does it work similar to dawnbreaker, where the initial hit and the DOT show separately? And maybe the dot shows the unmorphed name? My only explanation, but it's been a hot minute since I've seen crescent sweep in my recap.

The way it works is an initial bit hit then there's a pulse aoe dot around the player. I think it's only 5 meters so you can get of the range of the subsequent dot.

I use a game pad that has a thumb stick. Razer Tartarus, the stick is my attacks and somtimes when I push down I hit the little thumb space bar resulting in me jumping. Ive always wondered if there is a reason a lot of players jump while fighting. Like do they just auto run and jump to target better? Ive never used a oldschool keyboard, cant even imagine how one would do all the movements and attacks at the same time. Tartarus for lyfe.

Some people think jumping makes it harder to target at range. Some people use jumping to help them time their own attacks, it's like a rhythm thing. This is what I've been told across several MMO's. I jump because I'm a goofball. I use a razor deathstalker keyboard and a razor naga mouse. All my attacks are on the thumb pad on the mouse, movement and some other binds on the keyboard.

Ive heard the targeting argument a few times but in this case I dont think that works. The hitbox is the entire player. Its not loke other games that have separate hitboxes for the head and body. You can just aim above the player at range and it will hit them. Timming I can see.

For me, I jump to get clear LOS for long range attacks, sometimes the bumpy terrain will break LOS when you are trying to chase someone down and countless times I've lost LOS just before my target leaves the range of an attack, and he ends up being away. Jumping often solves that issue and frequently will prevent my victims escape. I also do it to goof off while death porting.

Ya I geuss I do that too. Sometimes you have to jump to get that lock. Im more talking about players who do it for no apparent reason. I spend a lot of time in Rawl, many duels go on all the time. The jumping that goes on is exesive in those situations. Wondering if Im missing something or those are just hotshot dweebs hah.

Question...do you jump a lot while fighting? Another question...if you see someone jumping around, do you focus them?

My answers...not on purpose, and *** yes hah dam jumping beans.

Jumping also locks your character orientation while allowing you to rotate your camera freely. I use it for that a lot when leading groups.
