The vampire skin in this game is Butt F-in ugly. It was ugly in Skyrim it's worse here. Mods took care of the issue in skyrim, a toggle would be nice for here, or perhaps a tasteful vamp skin that make your skin a bit more pale, lips a bit more red and some fangs. No scrunched serated looking pig nose okies?? KTHNXBAI!!

Totally agree, make stage 1 do very subtle changes to the character instead of clearly showing it sick and/or transformed.

Thanks @bhlegit! We're tracking this bug with another costume, so we'll add this costume to the list. (Also, the request to toggle the vampire skin visual effect is noted. :))

This is also happening with some apperances. Not just costumes. Please include a toggle :) sounds great!

I had completely forgotton how wonderful Morna looked as a mortal! Thank you disguise bug!

I realllllly hate how washed out her makeup became! Why did you do that ZOS? And PLEASE give back her marvelous GREEN eyes! I miss them so! In a perfect world Stage I would have the pale skin Stage 1 currently has BUT would leave the original makeup (NOT washing it out!) and her ORIGINAL eye color!

Seriously, please consider THAT as a Crown Store Skin if nothing else!!! But yes, I still would really LOVE a toggle for the vamp skin so that our vampires CAN look mortal once more! Oh how I miss this look!

Agreed! I was very disappointed when I saw how my 'face paint' all but disappeared after becoming vampire. Makes no sense!

Costumes purchased from the Crown Store do NOT remove the vampire appearance. However, it seems that ANY disguise acquired during questing will do so.

Once again, I'll take this opportunity to beg for the ability to be able to TOGGLE the vampire skin, turning it on and off at will. Failing that, I'd gladly buy this ability on the Crown Store.

I couldn't make my Argonian magblade a vampire because of how it completely bleaches his scales. Going from black scales to pure salt white is just too jarring for the aesthetic I originally crafted in the character creator.

I do love the disguise bug! I love being able to turn back to Erw'an Ewona's gorgeous self o:)

Also, imho, it goes perfectly within the disguise context that the Vampirism is also disguised. ;)

I still like the idea of, if you're at stage 1, and have no active abilities equipped you look mortal. Switch over to a bar with abilities slotted, or drop to stage 2 and you look like a vampire again.

    NO!!!

I have been waiting for 2 YEARS for you guys to add glamours for vampires and you are telling me that now you have finally added something cool for illusion vamps to disguise themselves you are going to "fix" it?

    Say it ain't so, ZOS!

Why would you "fix" this? It's great!

Most of the appearance of being a vampire has a toggle, at least it used to when the game launched. Just turned one of my previous vamps back and Seles to still be the case.

Beyond that there should not be a hard toggle and crown costumes should not hide the appearance. It's a choice to be a vamp which includes the awesome appearance.

I guess if crown store costumes show it that's cool...

But can we at least keep the silly quest costumes' effect that hides it? It adds to RP to be able to throw on a dishdasha and cast a glamour illusion where you look like a normal village person.

I actually thought this was an intended feature of these world drop costumes.

    Is it not?

Vampirism is a set of four cosmetic skins. This is effectively identical to the Soul Shriven visual effect. And now the skin collectibles.

It was never a toggle, or at least not a mechanic players could manually adjust (beyond moving between different stages).

Feeding it controlled it allowing player control of appearance. I say toggle you do call it something else. In the end what we call it is irrelevant since one can control the appearance easily.

At stage 1 it's hardly noticeable. Rosy cheeks and light red tint to be eyes.

Unfortunately, it flies in the face of much of the lore. I realize that the game mechanic of this game offers us only one form of vampirism so you might say it's fine that you are stuck with the appearance. However, in the vampire quest Lamae Bal herself tells you that her "children" hide among the mortal populataion and "may wear rags or crowns" which is a clear indication that even the vampires in THIS game should be able to blend visually with the mortal population.

To be fair, something that Elder Scrolls (as a whole) has done poorly is pointing out how different the strains of vampirism are from one another. It's in the books, but we haven't had a game with multiple clans since 2003, and we've never had a game (before ESO) that actually put different bloodlines in front of each other.

Which is why there are so many requests for features from other bloodlines. The Lamae bloodline are completely sun immune (they're still supposed to be stronger at night, but anyway). That's their special power. But, there are threads asking for the Cyrodiilic strain's blending ability, or the Volkahar Vampire Lord transform, because the strains aren't clearly outlined... even though, they're present in game.

It's a choice to be a vamp and it should be recognizable that someone is a vamp, especially at stage 2. Players should know someone is sucesptable to fire just as they know when a WW is susceptible to poison.

No costume should hide that someone is a vamp and it should not be something that can be completely hide. By any other means.

Again you are wrong. Unless you're using add-ons, there's no way to know anyone is a werewolf. There is no visual cue until they use werewolf abilities via their Ult. Stage 2 visuals are fine. Stage one STILL makes it obvious that you are a vampire and this is what many of us object to. There's no game mechanic that depends on being able to see the vampire appearance as a visual cue. Add-ons will tell you who is a vampire as well as who is a werewolf. Many armors and costumes completely cover all of the skin, hiding the visual cue of vampirism quite effectively. Are you going to say vampires should not have access to that armor?
