NA PC BWB second attempt

the same guy that killed em killed me a few moments later as well as i was riding by honoring the duel .... told my friend who was dueling him that next time i WILL fight back instead of honoring the duel... my honor will only stretch so far before i hit the f it button

Sadly a lot of core people that play in BWB have just left for vet, or for pve, or just left the game in general. I myself am just tired of the mindset people have in BWB, they just leave to go to the winning faction as soon as they lose one of their triangle keeps.
I've been doing a lot of vet pvp this past week or so, and it's so fun to see every faction always doing something, if ad is trying to zerg a DC scroll DC is defending that temple with everything they have, and you even find some EP there just messing around. But in BWB if ad is trying to take a scroll from a temple people just let it happen, or log on to their ad and join in on the zerg.

The real problem is Zos...they let people flop to whatever faction they want. Zos needs to reverse this change. I cant just send people to other factions because of imbalance. BYTE is an AD ONLY guild. Always has been always will be. The only thing I can do to help pop is not play and not allow our group to run. Members will still play though. They will just join other groups. There is only so much I can do as one guy.

Yeah, you can't really blame the players. Some people cry when they don't win 100% of the time so they feed their egos by joining whatever faction is dominating. It's like that with every team-based game because people would rather be handed things instead of earning it. It's not really right regardless to blame one faction because the other two faction's deserters joined them. The only available option is to wait it out. People get bored when there's nobody to fight and they switch back rather fast.

I know, I know.. the thought of changing factions makes my hair stand up. I just wish it was more balanced so people just don't log off to a point we can't get a group together.

I really tried tonight. I have never lost so much siege in such a short period of time(about an hour). Set siege and cant use it. Set more siege and can't use it. Lol. Ulti's won't fire off. Weapons sound like doors closing. Haha. What the hell happened?

these long load screens are getting old..... happening EVERY time i use a transport or every time the load screen appears now

Yup. I get that maybe campaign restrictions don't work anymore, people want to play with their friends, etc., but I wish if you logged into a faction+campaign you had to rock that faction for a set amount of time. Honestly a campaign would be nice, but even an hour would help.

It's usually pretty unstable the first week after a patch, but dang. I haven't had the siege bug in a while, hope this isn't the return of that monster.


In other news, that Faregyl lumber/keep mess was fun last night.

This isn't bug related but I once lost 16 sieges in about ah hour. set up 3/4 a few minutes later here comes 6 AD. Move to another keep.. same story.

I noticed long load screens more when beta or a DLC is released and when you are grouped with players. I don't understand why sometimes is super fast and sometimes its painfully slow. I figured they would have a fix by now.

Just putting it out there that it's a bit of a faux pas to camp everyone's gate keeps. I know during my reign (and I don't know if Outlaw has been on) I actively discouraged AD from taking tri-keeps.

haven't been on yet today.... is dc still holding ur tri keeps @Adenoma ? .... also just wanted to mention.... a few days ago i had a great fight with an AD memeber... i think his name was The Best nb.... dont remember what the last part was.... a few other ad members and a dc showed up and they just watched the fight ..... dont remember who the other dc was or the other 2 ad members.... but it was awesome that they didnt jump in even though we werent dueling.

i was rezzed and neither of the other 2 ad members attacked me after, just let me go on my way back to one of the

dc keeps i was heading toward... was def a fun fight. After that i tried to whisper the NB and thank them for a great fight but it came up character not found lol

I actually had a talk with someone yesterday about this. I logged on to BwB last night and really didn't see anyone except for DC. So I went to AS and the same story there, the entire map was blue, so I went skyshard shopping in BwB. Well I went to BM to get a book, and noticed AD was sieging.

Yes I was there fighting, I was kind of itching to kill someone after doing nothing but skyshard shopping. However, it wasn't really like I was gate camping, it was more like I was giving AD free AP because I'm pretty much an easy kill.

Well someone whispered me about gate camping so I left BM and also said a few things in Zone chat. Nobody listened and continued fighting at BM.

I play BwB often and just last week, the morning after we pushed AD to the gate ( trying to get a scroll ), I woke up to all our keeps taken by AD. But the funny thing is, EP had all their keeps.

I understand what everyone is saying "Don't Gate Camp" but how can we follow this suggestion when everyone does it to us. We get soo tired of being zerged down, gate camped, and cheated on. It just all adds up and when we have an opportunity for revenge, its hard not to back down.

As far as Tri-keeps, at one point I was thinking Glade was either AD or EPs home keep. I spent many Saturdays helping to take it back even when we didn't have any scrolls.

Yeah, I think this is really one of the situations (like with AD a few days ago) where the people gatecamping are not the people in this thread. And even when people who know better show up, I can't blame them, it gets real boring in PvE land (and DB quest is a snoozer).

Besides, in general, I'd rather be trying to take back Fare than sitting out the campaign waiting to lose Glade.

So discussion is rather moot. Plus DLC week, et cetera.

Eh. You can't really tell people not to gate camp and expect a change over night. In my experience, you lead by example. They may push you to the gates a few times but they'll eventually empathize and develop a better judgement. If you try playing with the "two wrongs make a right" concept and push them back to their gates in a constant ping-pong effect, nothing will unfortunately change.

Exactly. We can only control our own behavior. I haven't been at an enemy keep off the emp ring since last weekend (I may have shown up at some resources...), but you can't just expect other people to do that as well--or even to have the same priorities when it comes to PvP.

And nobody in this thread--nobody--can stop pugs for defending enemy trikeeps. Especially in BwB, where a lot of players are actually new and don't understand why you wouldn't.

I try my best to lead by example - that's why I've only pushed scrolls as emp once, and that killed the server for a 24 hour period. I'll never do it again. Instead, I'll just hold the hell out of emp keeps.

I think @DeadlyRecluse is right that the people who are zerging down resources at Warden/Kingscrest/BM, etc. are not the folks that are in the forums.

It's a huge bummer because I'd love to be PvPing right now, but the map is so bad that it's better for me to just do character work to get rerolls ready or to farm CP.

wow... just jumped into BwB for the first time today.... yeah.... not gonna defend the AD tri keeps like the others all are doing.... guess no BwB till maybe later... first time in a while that I have the morning off.... and im not even logged into the game now

Yeah. Tri-Keeps need to be constantly burst while under enemy control or something without the ability to drop a forward camp inside the walls. Anything would be better than being able to camp out at the gates. How that makes people think they are winning just baffles me. Lol.

I've always played a stam NB, but I am really starting to like my jabs on my new healer. Did some dungeons yesterday and pulled the mobs together and slaughtered them with my health bar barely moving down.

EP and AD are really going to hate it when I get jesus beam. Not sure which one they are going to hate the most "Emily has Healz" or a new tank I am building named "Tank Emily".

I've not been in BWB since the DLC (working on adding some DB skills to my vamp sorc!)... how are poisons working out in PVP? They seem to hit pretty hard in PVE, but, that doesn't always translate...

So it's Thursday and this is the least fun campaign I've had in a while. And for the record, I consider a lot of the DC input on the forums about not camping gate keeps to be hypocritical.
