i tried to get to alessia ... but was ganked by 2 EP NB's right outside it ... death recap was funny though ... "concealed weapon, funnel health, concealed weapon, concealed weapon, concealed weapon, concealed weapon " ALL of the concealed weapons was from ONE of them... the funnel health was from the other lol

on a side note... REALLY wish people wouldn't duel in WELL traveled areas ... im all for dueling.... but when ur in a well traveled spot its a guarantee somone is going to jump in... i ALWAYS find an out of the way spot to duel ... just makes sense

This has gotten real bad in the past week, with people dueling on transit lines literally between active fights.

Just....move like 2 minutes off the transit line. And if I notice you dueling and just ride by, don't dehorse me, then complain when you die that I "disrupted a duel"

@DeadlyRecluse , me, and a couple others stayed up way too late defending that keep. It was so fun! I can't imagine how many FCs DC used up at Alessia Farm.

@DeadlyRecluse just last night for example.... there was a duel going on literally RIGHT after the bridge between Roe and Alessia ... not the gated bridge.. but the one before that ... u know.... where EVERYONE was going through ... i was on my templar when i saw the 2 fighting i went into stealth cause i didnt know it was a duel..... and stealth healed the DC member... In this case they were NOT salty about it... just said "Dueling" and i went on my way ... but there has been times where ive been called an idiot or an a$$hole for disrupting a duel right NEXT to a keep

Looks like I won't be the Jab queen anytime soon.

Got my templar to level 10 and went straight to Cyro. First it looked promising, I was running around acting like a true healer.. healing everything I seen.

I felt good, then I decided to step up a little and start jabbing.

Jabbed 2 times and died.

Gosh I suck! I might have to just give it up and be a hardcore flower picker.

This really got to me last night. It happened on the AD side of Alessia bridge. @DeadlyRecluse and I rode through, I saw some sort of projectile incoming and got off my horse, and he got dehorsed. I just kept walking to the bridge and they started a little 3/4v1 that we mopped up pretty quickly. I got an angry earful from a fellow AD - who to his credit took it back after I explained what happened.

I think dueling is dumb - I don't build for it (though indirectly I might have made a fantastic dueling build), don't care about it, and don't feel that I need to prove any anatomical length my doing it. I like open world PvP, small grouping, and troll sieging my own keeps. We 16/20 sieged Alessia without any enemies there last night to see who had cyrHUD. Different strokes for different folks.

only times that I duel is when im working on a theorycraft build ... just to get a sense of how things are going with the build and to see what needs tweaking... mainly only duel my 2 friends with ep alts that are in my guild ( not PUGz of Daggerfall ) ... usually starts as 1v1's then i 1v2 them

Honestly dueling kind of makes me upset, because all the duels are in the wrong places. I jump in to help a teammate only to have them back off and watch me die.

And then they wonder why I come back with my siege

It's weird how duelers want us to respect their game, but they don't respect ours.

lol @vamp_emily i think the time i was called an a$$hole when they were dueling right next to the keep was cause i jumped in and killed the other faction member lol ... opps... lol... my reply was... sorry didnt know u were dueling... maybe next time don't duel right next to a keep

Dueling in high traffic areas is just asking for trouble. Obviously people come to Cyro to fight, if you want to duel you gotta do it in a place that you have a low risk of others jumping in. Anyone who plays pvp knows where the high traffic areas are, there is no excuse to get mad when others jump in on a fight if you are doing it where the bulk of players play lol! I've only actually dueled a couple times and don't get me wrong, it was fun but not really my cup of tea, not built for that, however we were respectful enough of the mob not to do it in the middle of everything. It goes both ways, since ZOS hasn't given duelers a means to do their thing in a safe place, you gotta create one.


@vamp_emily Dont give up, youve been playing a NB a long time yes? When you change classes it takes some time to get it down and really get a feel for what your class can do. I played a templar in pvp for a very long time and then I decided to move out of my comfort zone and try different classes. Its been a learning experience, when i rolled my first NB i absolutely hated it for about the first 25 levels or so lol! It was really that I just hadnt gotten the skills down, no idea what i was doing with it at first, then it grew on me. Same with DK. Just very different playstyles and you gotta figure out what your niche is with those classes that you dont normally play. Give it time.

I switch around a lot between pretty different classes - I've got a 1h&s/2h stamblade, a 2h/bow stamsorc, a dw/resto magplar, and a 1h&s/resto magDK right now. I've mostly been playing the stamsorc lately, but that makes me feel like an idiot for at least 30 minutes when I play something less mobile like my magplar or magDK. Totally different playstyles too. For example, I play my stamsorc like I just did a million lines of coke, so I just sprint in and out of combat and rely on speed to hit whoever I think is most vulnerable in a crowd or to LOS. On my magplar and magDK I have to be really careful about setting up terrain so that I can trap people in choke points - if I played them like my stamsorc I'd never be able to run out of the horrible scenarios I get myself into when stamsorcing.

And honestly, learning to play other classes will only help you when you play in your comfort zone. Now you'll be familiar with the shenanigans that magplars can do - and you'll know what opposing NBs have done to make your life hard as a magplar.

Ah, the problem is you only jabsed twice.

Pro templars go jabs-jabs-jabs: it takes THREE jabs to become pro.


But yeah, like everyone else says, it's hard to find two playstyles more different than magicka templar and stamina nightblade. Ride out the transition and you'll be fine.

one of the biggest reasons i love to play all classes just to see how abilities work and how they are played

I assume you're talking about a Magicka Templar? Because on a Stamplar you really need Rally and Vigor to survive. Positioning is also very important on a Templar because jabs/sweeps doesn't lock on to a target. I try to always be moving when I'm using jabs/sweeps even when the enemy is standing still because I find it makes it easier for me to readjust my position quickly when I need to.

Also, if you are trying Magplar and don't like it, you should give Stamplar a try. I've found playing a Stamina Templar to be much more enjoyable than a Magicka Templar.

So, I want to raise a question: with the changes to vet levels, will we be lvl50cp160 (if we have the needed cp) in Bwb? If it is the case that we are lvl50cp160 would that not mean that I could wear my engine guardian set or kena set in bwb? granted I'd only be able to wear it until I logged out

I don't think anybody has played around with vetting-out mechanics in BWB with the new system via PTS.

I *hope* what you are describing doesn't work, though it would be funny. I'd have a couple chars saved at 49.9 until I had a solid 6 hours to vet, gear up, and lay waste.

Yeahhhhhhh, I've got my impen Molag Kena, Engine Guardian, and Bloodspawn all legendary just laying about... I wouldn't mind putting those on. I've got some characters about to vet - you can be sure I'll be checking this out.

Thanks. I think this'll be the last stam sorc/WB machine I run for a while, though. Besides the switch to Dizzying Swing, people keep giving me hate whispers for WB. I just ask them what else they expect me to use to DPS if I'm a stam sorc 2h user.
