No, I would not buy another ZOS title.
Also coming from UO after 16yrs,i came here for the franchise, its not the best it could be by far. if anything, i think if ZOS decided on a another release they could learn from mistakes they made with ESO. if they went accordingly and picked a direction and stayed the course, they might succeed.

I bought this game knowing nothing of ZoS but quite a bit about Elder Scrolls as I've played every game in the franchise. ESO was a lot of fun, sometimes it still can be. I'm definitely very upset with some of the recent changes, as well as some upcoming changes. All of the exploits (how they're being handled), bugs, lack of hot fixes, game ruining performance issues in both PvP and PvE, etc. are all getting completely out of control. The lack of overall balance is hindering as well. You'd think after two years they would have at least the majority of combat balanced, yet they manage to make it worse with nearly every DLC.

End all be all is that none of us know who is really making the decisions behind the game. As someone that works for a large corporation we have to carry out a lot of tasks that we know are wrong. Perhaps this is how it works at ZoS too, but we'll never actually know who is to blame.

So let me get this straight, you're on the forums of a game, making comments...it's been out for two years now, you're still playing.

but yet you hate the company so much that built this game you'll NEVER buy another game from them again.

    *eye roll

Yeah ESO makes me grumble sometimes, but in the end, best PvP experience I've ever had with a game in a genre that I love. You no votes aren't being honest.

sadly most of the complaints i see are from pvp focused people and those who wanted this to be jsut like a single player tes game. as for zenimax..this IS their first game, Bethesda had nothing to do in the making of this game other then funding and IP ownership. You complain about this game yet black desert online is an abysmal mess riddled with hackers. hell i have been waiting 45 days to get a reply to a ticket about a payment i made...at least ZoS gets back to me within a day.

Why wouldn't I try another title from them?

@jircris11 I agree on most of this... i have to admit that when compared to a lot of other companies zenimax shine as one of the best ones regarding to customer service and actual efford for the game.

That said.. i really don't agree on the fact that "Bethesda" has nothing to do with the game... after all all the lore, the races, tamriel itself was created by bethesda and "re-utilised" by zenimax for the game... as far as i know even to build the cities they reeived blueprints from bethesda..

What worries me is this exact point: the best part of ESO comes from bethesda and are lore, races, world.

without this three points we wouldn't have ESOand we wouòldn't have quest liens etc that are based on the lore.

If we take the bethesda influence away from zenimax we are left with what zenimax actually "made up" for themselves... so an average class system, pvp issues, poor class balance and way too importance on equipment in every single aspect of the game.

I agree tho that this is their first game so they can only improve and i hope they do.. and that is exactly the reason why i didn't vote "no"... but at the same time i realize that if we take away bethesda influence from this game we're left with an extremly average mmo... so well... i'm not sure i would buy another ZOS game at this point in time knowing that it wouldn't have ES influence in it

Fallout MMORPG is not going happen. Bethesda fought hard at court with Interplay to stop it from making it.

That was to stop Interplay from making the MMO, not to prevent an MMO from ever being made.

My take on this is that Bethesda moved to stop Fallout Online because they wanted control over the production of any Fallout MMO. When they decide to make it, ZOS is likely the company that will be tasked with doing it.

This all transpired about 2 years after ZOS was formed, during the early years of ESO production. This makes it plausible that Fallout Online is, in fact, one of the unannounced projects that ZOS might be working on.

If a fallout MMO came out, I would play that.

I am only going to play an MMO if there is some IP I am interested in. I would like to play through the SWTOR story some day. Perhaps I would be tempted by a Dragon Age or Mass Effect MMO, but I would prefer they just put only single player games. So if ZOS put out an MMO with some new IP, I doubt I would be interested, even though I think ESO is great.

Zenimax has made it clear to me, feedback provided to enhance/fix there game is all but ignored. Rather rush out DLC's to keep people farming and let the player base test the BETA content for them for free or even better, some even subscribe and pay Zenimax to test this content for them. New crown items (Cosmetic) added all the time to keep the money coming in by doing the least work.

Love this series, played since Arena. Lore, story line and friends is what brought me to ESO, my experience since has been disappointing. No longer subscribe/spend to support this as I have no faith in their intentions for the series.

The DLC aren't there to keep people farming. They are there to expand the world and add more content. Hopefully the entire map gets filled in.

Fallout would be even harder to met people expectations - some want it to be more about exploration, some more about combat and some more about the survival experience like with the new survival mode in fallout 4. I could even imagine it as an open world pvp game, but not level based, but skill-driven with some powerful local NPC support in settlements, but otherwise the harsh reality of a cutthroat wasteland - now imagine this and you see that expectations can be extremely different for a fallout game as an MMO - I personally am not a dedicated pvp player, but in the fallout world, I would be for open world pvp and survival mode - a real challenge to survive and where you have to team up and collaborate to survive.

Edit: with this said, I am not for this ridiculous "get killed, respawn immediately" thing - if you are dead, you do not play for the next 24h - just when death has meaning, it will not end up to be a pointless MMO like all the others are pvp-wise. Death has to have consequences, not like in ESO.

How long does it take, to play and finish the content in last DLC?. Was a few days of average play at most. Content hard?, wasn't for me or most of my guild. So after you breeze through this 'new' content, what is left to do?. Farming the dailies for your cosmetic motifs or farming more stuff to unlock more cosmetic dye.

I'm not going to pretend that there haven' been a few issues with this game - but in general, i've loved it. I've been playing on and off for around two years (haven't finished all the PvE content yet, i'm working through it at my own pace), and i'm looking forwards to being able to bring it out again every now and again for the newest DLCs.

I hope they don't do another game, and continue to focus on this one. But there is nothing I have seen that would stop buying another ZOS game.

As long as it's ESO2. I don't really care for fallout....

I've seen some train wrecks in the industry and this game is not as bad as some people try to make it out to be .

I can tell that they're trying, but I don't care for hit-and-miss companies. I don't like crooked deals. Companies want to make sure they get my money, but won't make sure I'm getting my money's worth. That's a red flag for future transactions.

I don't like companies that are so afraid to go for broke, but can careless about breaking the consumer's pockets.

Despite the graphics of today in the genre, my childhood games were more fun, interesting, and player friendly. If I wanted to, I could play most of those games with my children, without having to worry about game content. Now? We have graphics, minimal fun and the companies suck. ZoS is just one of the fish in the disappointment pond, but definitely not the biggest.

No change here. I am good with ESO, right now. Could be better.

When I look at the game as it stands today, it has made great progress since 2014, but I feel like they got lucky*. I question whether they can keep it up with ESO, let alone do it with a second game.

Don't get me wrong, I am glad they got the game to Thieves Guild. I am currently an ESO Plus member because the game itself has value to me, but it is starting to level off. Dark Brotherhood was the beginning of what could be a slide with the haphazard "removal" of Veteran Ranks. Some of the decisions in Update 11 related to the "barbershop" make me wonder if they have the mettle to move the game forward. I expect that One Tamriel will further demonstrate a slide as I expect them to make the One Tamriel a happy safe playground with soft rubber ground cover and padded equipment for the players.

*Edit: And to be clear, I mean that I can't see how they managed to successfully assemble and deliver the game.

No just no. This has been the worse MMO experience I have ever played and forum experience from Mods who take their job way too seriously over a supposedly M rated game (Probably going to start posting on Reddit soon.) The only reason why I play this game is because I switched from PC gaming to console and this is the only western styled MMO available on consoles atm. I really hope more developers follow Paul Sages example and jump ship. I don't know what happened to @ZOS_MattFiror but I really enjoyed DAOC and this games PvP performance is farthest from it. Someone at the top of Zenimax is making some serious wrong decisions and should be fired.

I understand how you feel. I only recently started back posting here, because I couldn't take how badly Cyrodiil deteriorated. Thus, I posted that thread about what PVP has become nowadays. Otherwise, I just read posts here for the most part. The forum staff here has completely turned me off from wanting to contribute here, and made me not want to be active within this site's community. And I have been apart of tons of Internet forums, and I still am. I am even a moderator (currently) on some of those forums. But, the things that happen on these forums are unacceptable. And I've never been treated as badly in those places.

Nonetheless, I just want for ZOS to treat their game with the same amount of dedication and effort as they put into policing these forums. If that same amount of effort was applied, there would be a lot less negative threads and overall negative feedback. And I'm sure more people wouldn't mind investing their money and time into another ZOS title. I know I wouldn't. But with the way that things are going now, and in the direction they continue to travel? I just don't feel/think that's too likely.
