I just wanted to share, that, my guild / group has reported major lag issues simultaneously. We often have about 2-3+ game crashes a day.
One of the REPEATABLE major lag spikes that we have encountered is when doing our daily "Skull and Cross Bones" missions in Orsonium. The biggest lag spike is the moment someone gets the KILL shot on the boss, and the game freezes for everyone in my guild at the same time, for at least a good 2-3 seconds. They don't even need to be nearby for them to receive the lag spike.
We are on PS4, just hope this info can help it get resolved.

So you are ignoring mine and others' crashing problems on PC?

No, and apologies if it seems that way. If you did get a Support response saying we're "too busy to look into" an issue you were reporting, please send it to us at community@elderscrollsonline.com. That doesn't sound right and we'd like to follow-up on it.

The top few crashes we're currently seeing on PC are related to the 32-bit client being used on a machine that is better suited for the 64-bit client. If you're crashing on PC and using the 32-bit client, switching to the 64-bit client is the first thing we'd recommend trying. The console crash issue and crash loops are new, so we're still digging into what the cause(s) are.

For any PC/Mac issues that switching to the 64-bit client does not fix, please submit a Support ticket so we can gather dxdiag details and troubleshoot with you.

That sounds great, but in my guild we've been having serious problems on PC, both 32- and 64-bit clients, and for the two dozen or so support tickets we've turned in on the issues - zero response on any of them.

Tried running VMA again. So much fun! 4 crashes. The last on a boss round. How is this acceptable?

I'm getting game crashes on 32 and 64 bit clients. The primary reason I run the 32 bit client is due to the sound issues on 64. Also, the 32 had (until recently) been less likely to crash. Attempting Cyrodiil PVP is a joke. 18 pages (and counting) of "game crashing" topic is pretty dang bad. But now that you have said to.. I will run the x64 client solely and EVERY crash I get I'm going to submit a ticket.

I am getting crashes just by trying to log into the game. Does not even give me a minute before it crashes. I was running perfectly fine until this recent maintenance that had happened. Sent out a support ticket and still have not heard back from them at all.

Just to let people know, I crash when I use the Launcher. I had heard that it was updated to use the 64bit client if your PC can use it. When I start the game directly with the 64bit application it runs with no crashes B):):D .

Just remember that their first response is a canned email. Usually says 'check the forums' or some crap. just reply back and then you will get a human answer on the 2nd one.

And no help from the community team nor support team when I pointed it out here on the forum, emailed the exchange to community support. Nothing... Really lousy service.

The 64 bit client replaced sporadic crashing to desktop with sporadic freezing of the client. When it freezes, I've got to kill the client from task manager. I feel this is a worse outcome. With the crashing, you at least have Windows automatically logging the crash and you have the option of submitting a crash report. Assuming the devs are monitoring these (Microsoft forwards these along in many cases) ZoS would at least know of the trouble and may even have a mini dump they could use to triage the issue.

With the freezing, you get no option to file a crash report and this no automated reporting of any trouble. The only way a Dev would know you were having trouble would be for you to manually open a trouble ticket.

I've noticed a significant spoke in my crashing issues since downloading the Dark Brotherhood DLC last week. Not only is it crashing, but non-playable characters are taking about 10 seconds to show up after traveling or going through a door. Spells and skills are lagged. I'm getting killed by invisible enemies I can't even target. It's a nightmare.

Having stuttering, sound issues, disconnects, no dungeon finder, etc...since the last dlc. It's a real shame the state that this game is in currently.
I'm having these problems both on PS4 and PC but more pronounced on the console. :(

As I discovered the disconnects and mega lag were related to my ISP. Few weeks ago i came back to ESO and got 999 ping in evenings on EU. I checked my connection with speed test during one of those lag spikes (which I recommend doing) and turns out my connection was broke. I got 2mbps whereas I have 40mbps package. Since I changed ISP no problems. Only thing I have now is periodic black screens which hopefully they'll repair.

ever since the Hotfix after introduction of DB it is worst as before that

Having troubles to put items from bag to bank
    Having troubles to eat food
Having loading screens everywhere, even in the middle of nowhere, with no one around for miles
Have to wait for looting, because it takes up to 5 secs before my char gets "the out of battle-status"
and yes I use the 64client, it was really much better, now it is like using the old client again....

don´t know if this information is of any use, or that any reads this,
    but here it is

I didn't even get into Orsinium this time. Riding up to it, I took one look at the city gates and I crashed.

Update: Got back in, went to the Inn for the main quest. Talked to the guy, the guy turned black, then crashed to dash. Logged back in to an insta-crash. Just tried again and got back in. Now playing again...crashed again after talking to the next quest NPC.

    I'm REALLY enjoying Wrothgar guys.

Update 2: im literally crashing every twenty steps now.

Update 3: so i gave up on Wrothgar and decided to try the Thieves Guild. Guys, whatever you did to Abah's Landing you need to replicate in Orsinium. Ive been walking around this city for several minutes now without a single hiccup so far.

I usually don't crash at all, but last night I had two of the "everyone's frozen in place" crashes in Cyrodiil that eventually logged me off completely. However, both times I was able to log on and reclaim my spot in a pop-locked Trueflame campaign.

Another weird thing that happened was dying once right after jumping off a siege weapon and my camera dislocated from my body. It zoomed up, I'd estimate, about 150 feet off the ground in the death blue screen! I could see the entirety of Alessia and its immediate surroundings. I could rotate the camera and if the back of the camera met a wall, I instantly zoomed back to the ground. When I finally rezzed at a forward camp, the camera slowly zoomed back down to the normal place. Technically it was a bug, but I really did like the huge panaromic view! I know, I know, giving that to us would probably cause quite a bit more lag.

One last thing - during all this and plenty of lag and quite fierce fighting, I never lost audio at all. Kudos for the work you're doing!

    Lol! I'm a spy! -.-
Will I then be posting in tech forum on the black screen GPU driver crashes?
I know you are frustrated! Hell! I left the game for half a year or more just because of the damn infinite loading screens and constant 999 ping! Though I didn't have crashes back then >.<
And I think you all agree that there are crappy cheap ISPs (one of my previous ones was a free one that came as an incentive for joining a cell provider) and there are older, more experienced ones, more expensive ones. And I think you should at least call yours and explain to them the problem. I actually got a "gamer's pack" once which lowered pings in EU (though ESO was not out back then)

Yeah, the consoles are an absolute joke right know. On XB1/NA I get dashboarded constantly since DB, no matter what area I'm in or what the population seems to be. There are times when it happens before I even get to the character select screen. All the DLC zones result in rampant disconnects, but Wrothgar is by far the worst, often trapping my characters in disconnection loops when dropping off writs. Now, even ESO Plus is broken for alot of players. You get billed then poof, you're no longer a member. I've tried everything from contacting my ISP, switching from wi-fi to hard wire, reaching out to Microsoft, and even putting myself through the torture of dealing with ZOS customer service (Worthless!). The result is always the same: A game with a ton of flaws and a company with an apparent philosophy of, "If it's broke, wait for the next patch."

I'm xbox one, so probably the issues are different, but I am sure they have to do with something good scripted in the last patch. The game crashes often I Cyrodiil, lag is quite bad in all non PVP zones, but the worst happens in Elden Root and Orsinium. If u crash there, there is the very high chance you will not recover your character before 10 or 20 tries, if not at all (I had to abandon my magicka nightblade until I u installed and reinstated the game). I spoke with many others and they have the same issue. We have given up doing pledges and crafting writs in case our chars crashes and we can't recover them (since it would then crash on load screens). Worst patch ever and they are already talking about a new one...

If your Character gets stuck in a Crash loop in Orsinium/elsewhere ZOS has stated to go to their Support website, log into your account and then submit the appropriate support ticket regarding in-game issues, and ask for your Character to be moved to a safe location to which you can then log in again. I can personally vouch for this temporary fix.

I've found a workaround for "Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered" problem.

SOLUTION: Set shadow quality to "Off".

Help me test it in your conditions and confirm or decline that it helps you.

I don't know the real issue but I think it's in the shadow shader that falls into infinity loop in some boundary conditions. Video driver detects this infinity loop with Timeout Detection and Recovery (TDR) system and restarts the driver.

@ZOS_GinaBruno, promote this information to developers please. It may help us.

My tech specs: ASUS GTX680, Core i7, 32 GB RAM, SSD, 100 Mbit inet, all settings at max except of the shadow quality (off).

We had a couple of weeks of better (still not great) performance in Cyro in EU, the lag is back, most noticeably after the last maintenance, also those infinite loading screens are back, one guy that runs regular pug groups does everything to avoid them and runs from keep to keep!
