I think these changes, particularly to the Constellations is awesome- particularly for Altmer and Dunmer races. Considering now that both elemental damage AND Magic damage will be under one location- it will no longer be necessary to split CPs between Elemental Damage and Thaumaturge. This change will benefit any Magicka Sorc, Dragonknight and Nightblade- and now perhaps even Wall of Elements might be useful with the increased damage (it may finally actually 'melt' something). ;)

this is true but we do lose the passives from the thaum tree like exploiter and last stand. Personally I liked having them both split.

    Loyalty Rewards
Anyone who[ b]owns[/b] the Orsinium or Thieves Guild DLC game packs will be granted a vanity pet as a loyalty reward!
    • The Orsinium reward is an Echalette vanity pet, and the Thieves Guild reward is a Jackal vanity pet.
    • You’ll need to complete a new achievement to receive your pet, but just need to simply walk into the main city.
      • Orsinium loyalty reward achievement: “A Gift from Orsinium”
      • Thieves Guild loyalty reward achievement: “Spoils of Abah’s Landing”
    • The pet will be added to your Collections UI, and will be usable account-wide.
    • Going forward, each DLC game pack will include some sort of reward for those that purchase or have access to it.

Honest this BS so we who are ESO+ member are not loyalty enough and therefore we wont get any loyalty reward for we are just "rent" DLC well not get this reward i take it

If you were loyal you would use the 'free' crowns that come with the membership to buy access to content you can already access and spend more money on other items you want to purchase.

I wonder why this sounds like a scam...

Say it. Now Sorcerer healer is better. Using points in bastion and "Ward ally" (Wich wards yourself and someone else) is better than BoL. They also have more magicka management passives.

Except those of us templars using a destro/resto build with Radiant ward. You'll see more of those healers soon (and more healing output than those shield sorc's.)

Anyone who has access will get the pet, that includes if you purchased the DLC or are an ESO Plus member.

So, I was a little surprised not to see the Yokudan motif in the list of style motifs going up for this DLC. Abah's Landing strikes me as a theme-appropriate location to introduce it, much how Ancient Orc was introduced in Wrothgar.

Alas... Maybe next round. I'll be able to craft better looking Light boots some day. :(

So many great things in this, both base and DLC.

While not popular, it is nice to see them making some distance between stamina and magicka Sorcerers. They really need to keep a strong magicka dominated DPS class and nothing says that better than Sorcerer. I'd really like to see DK and NB be the strong stamina classes. I need to get into PTS and see how the changes actually play in the game, but so far I like the changes more than I frown.

The major step back from toggle abilities in this update is interesting. It should eliminate the "oops" effect of accidentally turning it off, but it adds a new reason to press a button I have been trying to stay away from. I will have to see how this plays out.

I do wish that one of the costume developers would explain the barrel chest effect on the female costumes, and whether they are going to ever address that.

@ZOS_GinaBruno ... is there a general "update feedback" thread somewhere that I missed? Somewhere to put stuff that is not covered by the other threads? For example, the costume comment from above. Do we just use this one?

You need to take into account NB abilities that, for stam builds, still do magic dmg. Stam builds need to be stam only, otherwise I STILL need to dump into elemental expert or whatever for my Execute and Assassination Ultimate to do more damage.

    Kinda bunk right there.

Considering that The Ritual tree mostly benefits Stamina builds, it didn't make any sense to have Magic damage located there... and I doubt losing Exploiter and Last Stand will be that much of a detriment to Magicka builds.

It's not conclusive. You did not empower your frag, yours did not crit, it was an instant cast, that was the only damage you did.

Your opponent empowered a spell that cast-time, crit, hit you with 2 other spells.

Is it not glaringly obvious. As a sorcerer you will be better off fighting a templar in the thieves guild than now because the templar will be unable to cleanse your range attacks with purify. when you shield stack, something that has not been addressed, the extra 10% or what not from a interruptible skill with a cast time that you can easily dodge is not going to matter.

    Summon Winged Twilight:

This ability and its morphs are no longer toggle abilities; instead, they are now normal casted abilities. The first activation will summon your pet, and when morphed, the second activation will cast the pet’s special ability.
Note that the pet will still be desummoned if you switch ability bars without slotting it.

I dont understand this? It still disappear if I change to my 2. bar without sloted the twilight? So and whats the difference that the pet is no more toggle?

    confusing

    @Glantir @Joy_Division
The difference now is you gain an actual spammable ability instead of just a toggle. I played with a pet build on PTS last night, and I'm sure you guys probably have since experimented with this. But for those who have not,
    a) You slot your winged twilight (on both bars, that part hasn't changed)
    b) When you use that slot again it does not desummon your pet, instead that slot has turned into a pet ability (If you played WoW, think of the pet abilities Hunters had in that game).

One of the morphs for the clanfear has a pulse AOE effect that stuns. So once I summon him, I can spam that slot over and over again for the magicka cost to basically spam that pets ability.

im really not one to cry nerf ever, infact i made an account just to post about the pts update. its just the first thing i noticed, the dark flare was hitting really hard. did that little test, yes it wasnt a completely fair test, i didnt use might of guild and it didnt crit, but still its too much dmg for an ability which has short cast time. its a lot more powerful than atm on live. All im saying is having made a char on the pts it was the first thing i noticed as sorc, the templars dark flare - maybe someone can look into it who can maths lol

    Assault

Significantly reduced the amount of Alliance Points you need to advance through the ranks in this skill line.

This is a great change for all of us altoholics - that AP grind to unlock the upper end skills was pretty daunting for multiple characters.

I'm wondering if Proximity Detonation being far more common in BWB is a good thing though...

I haven't read the notes thoroughly yet, but I do think Templar win the award for the largest single class nerf in the patch notes.

I have to agree on this one. My constant defense to the current and abysmal state of templars has always been, "yes, but they are healer class. Nobody can heal like they do." You just gutted the main skill that separates them from the herd. This is a very bad change IMO.

If you are set on reducing it to one person other than yourself, is their at least anyway to ensure it hits the lowest health ally?
