Text chat as on PC - scrapped previously by ZOS
Text chat via bubbles using customized radial chat - maybe
Text chat box within the social menu - maybe
Other text chat ideas- needed
here's an idea then,
Keep the PC chat/text box as is, right stick "in" for Xbox controllers (nothing mapped there anyways)....
I play on Xbox NA so I don't know PS controls but I would venture a guess it's similar/doable ....
Shows how much i stealth...
Lt + *insert any button*.... The jist of it is use controller to access on screen chat box, either a keyboard or generic on screen keys to type, and find all the options and tweaks in the social tab off menu, including the ability to turn the whole thing off if desired

Niether is L3 + R3.

What are those for Xbox One?
I assume those are beside the triggers which are our ability 4 and 5 buttons
Button 4+5 = ultimate

How don't you know what L3 and R3 is. Button 4 and 5 are L1 and R1
L3 + R3 are clicking in the left and right sticks.

You got it.
L3 isn't used on PS4...nor XB1 as far as I know.
Nor is L3+R3.
"Click Sticks"

Idk, Caitlyn Jenner maybe?

Ha!!! That's so wrong but. Lol
So anyways. Does that make sense as in do you foresee no bad coming out of that button combination?

I think it could cause problems if you're trying to sprint & accidentally activate the chat window instead of running away from an opponent. I could forsee many rage broken controllers due to a split second timing error in Cyro.

Ok so are we at yes this button sequence is an option
But there needs to be an option to turn that button sequence off in settings.
Or
Do we need to look for new ideas for a button or button sequences.
Ace_of_Destiny wrote: »It is a simple if/then statement...
If: moving
Then: sprint
When "if = not moving": open textchat
I haven't programmed anything in about 15 years, but this is simple even to me.
Hell, I can program my controller mapper to do it.
I do know. I think it might be easier to have the text chat's typing interface open from the options menu. Have it be a tab just like inventory or journal.

It would be nice if zos tell us if they will or not work on it .... I'm started to be very *** off by them not tell us anything about that ...
