i agree the way i talk and the way i text are completely different, one is nasty and rude while the other is clean and nice.

This game does not "need" text chat. It would only make some things more convenient.
These are the dumb comments that got the last text chat thread locked.
To keep on topic, not having text chat is the bane of the consoles atm (along with camo hunter and afk pig farming)
not having one of the major way to communicate nor socialize in a video game is just silly

Maybe you should look at that irrespective of whether or not they put text chat in.

Exactly! May as well not add to all the rest of the "Garbage" that is currently on the voice chat that is there now. Some of us don't appreciate bullying, foul language, sexual innuendo and stupidity when we speak with others. I'll be happy to voice chat with anyone, but their skin is so thin they always end up crying.

That's fine. Since most of the people I've run in to have in the ESO environment (EU is an exception, of course - adults play there) "bad temperaments" as you so eloquently put it, it's going to be a very lonely and extremely cliquish place before too long.
Funny that I manage to get along just fine in "Real Life". I have lots of friends, am well liked, well employed and have actually been married for almost 2 decades as well as published books and moderate as well as participate in a dozen other forums.

Didn't you guys know? We paid for that feature when we bought the game! Its called the "$%#@ Us Right?" Feature where we not only get the elder scrolls story built in but everyone's life story in the background! But don't worry, if you don't like it, just disable chat... or all communication from the eso "MMO" world...

✭You know banning players on Xbox am not sure about PS4 is actually very hard.Since Xbox live have the family gold share all accounts on that Xbox can play online .So if someone in text chat is reported and banned from the game they can just use another account to harress and use foul language and just keep going over and over until that other account is unbanned and continue the cycle.
This isn't a post about not adding text chat but just to inform posters that it isn't that easy to ban someone on XBox and maybe PS4.3 -
I don't understand why they would resist this.
Text chat is all but required in MMOs. Without it, there's really no point in even attempting pug group content.
FF14 has it on their consoles, and it works out great.4 -

Im sorry PC screwed over for a year but ZOS needs to make it up to them with out screwing console players over..This PC gets DLC for 2 weeks before us is BS plain and simple and ill explain why.
DCUO is both PC and PS..they will put a dlc on test server and when its about ready patch it one last time on a tuesday or wed...The Next tuesday it will go live for both PC and PS... yes same day...Why you ask..Cause they give there Subscribers 2 weeks to play the dlc before they sell it to people who dont suporrt the game thru subscription..
Here we have to wait 2 weeks cause sniff sniff pc got screwed a year ago...im sorry but i bought this game just like you..no reason i should be penalised for things that happened to you in the past grow up deal with it or leave the game..
Zos we need text chat..Right now a buddy and i are stuck on "The craglorn quest The Missing Gaurden..yes the one you need 4 people on that quest...no if you finish you cant help..on that stage to click the pillars...guess what for 4 days ive tried 4 guild voice chat rooms..all 4 have 500 people maxd and there was no more then 10 people in any of the channels each day when i checked them.
Now thats not all me and my buddy have done..we have stood one where the quest objective is and one oin Belkarth..shouting in area for 2 people on that stage..no luck
Wait im not done..im also part of a 3k+ FB page and have tried there many times and no luck..
With text chat i could zone hop asking in zone chat and lfg and im sure find two people for that quest but for now were stuck.
I think its time we go to twitter and get a hash tag going like #ESONEEDSCONSOLETEXTCHAT or some thing..tag all gamer magazines heck im sure deltia will retweet it and maybe we can get Boogie2988 on board4 -

ZoS is really trying to fix ESO, but ignoring major issues that they intentionally caused is not the way to handle things. Very true. On the whole, 99% of the folks on the forum are not only knowledgeable, but give excellent advice and come up with some awesome suggestions! Couldn't agree more. Those of us that are relatively new to ESO and novice at MMO's I am sure find the information we get invaluable. Frankly, most of the forumers have contributed to making me a far better player. And I thank them for that!
I only wish the same was true of the game participants.0 -
