ZOS already stated clearly that they will not sell stones in the crown store

Why not make it a toggle? If you turn it on you can loot others and be looted, if you turn it off you cannot loot others and cannot be looted.

That way everyone can be happy.

If you argue that you want to be able to loot people who are not interested in that kind of risk vs reward gameplay then it just show that you are the kind of gamer that get your kick from annoying other players....

That most certainly would take the fun out of it. Also, this heavily benefits pve-ers because they wont kill many players so they would choose to turn the looting off.

I think it would be better to limit the number/percentage of Tel Var stones you lose when you die would be a better option. This will prevent you from losing all your stones instantly but there's still a decent punishment for dying.

The point is exactly that the PVEers xan and will turn it off so they dont have to take part in a game mechanics that give them NO FUN. While PVPer will have to kill other PVPers to get loot.

If you just want to gank defenseless PVEers for fun then you really shouldn't be allowed to have that oportunity. It brings out the worst in gamers when such a system exists and it will cause severe damage to the ESO game community.

    This ^^

I love when pvpers spit out something that shows their true nature:

"That most certainly would take the fun out of it. Also, this heavily benefits pve-ers because they wont kill many players so they would choose to turn the looting off. "

How it will benefit them? They spent x hours farming stones = they get stones. I dont see any benefit. I see equivalent exchange

The only people that benefit here are PVPers who, just like @Septimus_Maga pointed it out, want to gank defenceless PVErs have benefit in their work.

PVE player farms stones = PVE player gets his stones. PVP ganker kills PVE player and steals his stones. Who benefits here? That parasite and leecher PVPer

What will be next? Bribing? Paying for protection and dying anyways? Ganking someone just to look how he tries to run away and then killing him anyways?

First of all, Imperial City is located in Cyrodiil, the PVP zone of ESO and you can expect PVP in the PVP zone. If you want to spend x hours farming stones and you dont want to lose them, simply go to the bank every 30-60 minutes to store them. If you get killed you dont lose many stones, problem solved. If you do want to run around with many stones be prepared to defend them because you're farming those stones in a PVP zone.

Second, the benefit of the PVEers is that they can farm stones without any disadvantages with your suggestion. Thats exactly the reason why ZOS came up with this system in the first place, to have a risk and reward system for dying and killing. No more safely grinding without having to watch your back. Also you only lose your stones, all the stuff that drops from bosses and mobs will stay in your inventory. So most of your stuff will always be safe, only your stones will be lost if you die.

Third, I dont really understand why the PVPers shouldnt benefit, they have been practicing how to fight other classes and builds the entire time. Also 80% of the PVPers arent gankers and enjoy fights against other skilled players. Instead of feeling sad for the "defenseless" PVEers and holding your hand above their heads, practice and learn how to defend yourself in PVP. There are viable PVP builds for every class so there's no excuse not to learn how to play your class against other players.

Its nice to see so many PVEers complain about a PVP update because they're sacred to lose their farmed stones. I dont think there will be much need to gank, I'll just come walking towards the PVE farmers and fear senseless them with my Alliance Rank, even though its not that high. Its gonna be great, I cant wait!

It's that kind of PVPer attitude that makes large numbers of MMO players loathe and despise PVP and all it stand for and want nothing to do with it.

ZOS COULD have provide a dual-track method of getting stones, the 'risk/reward' issue PVPers are using to defend this forced-PVP on PVEers could have been done by giving PVEers a CHOICE of this location with higher reward/risk (as a way of trying to PERSUADE PVEers to engage in PVP), while providing a no risk/low reward alternative, but they didn't, ZOS CHOSE to try to FORCE PVEers to endure PVP simply get get PVE gear progression items.

That speaks volumes for ZOS plans for this game going forward, a throw-back to the 1990s group-or-die and PVP-or-die game many PVEers, like me, want nothing to do with.
