Favourite and Least Favourite Elder Scrolls Races and why.

Favorite non-playable race would be Falmer. Favorite playable race will forever be the Argonian. Least favorite race is likely the Imperials. I blame Oblivion for that though as they started to grow on me in Skyrim.

Quick question: if Falmer were a playable race in this game (maybe special purchase like imperial), would you want to play one?
    .

Never really got into Skyrim, and can't really wrap my head around a blind race.

I would play a goblin (have one - sorta - used bosmer as the starting point).

I would play a maormer (I have one - sorta - used dunmer as the starting point) and with respect to her, dang it took work to get her from dunmer/angry to downright cheerful and perky.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Favorite: Imperial, Bosmer close second. Both for culture.

Dislike: Dunmer, racist, bigoted scum. Altmer in close second for same reason.

My favorite race is the Redguard. I like their culture, mentality & history.

Least favorite- whatever's in front of me.

There's a lot of hate for morrowind & oblivion events. Question was favorite TESO race yes? Why do you have so much dislike for events that haven't happened yet? Skyrim was my elder scrolls entrance so maybe my timeline is wrong, but TESO takes place before them, yes?

Favorite: Dunmer (I tend to play them the most), I liked them since Skyrim. My favorite Skyrim spouse and follower were Dunmer too, Teldryn Sero was such an awesome character! I also liked their connection to fire, resistance to fire and flame spells. I just think they're an overall interesting group of mer.

Least favorite: Orsimer. I dunno maybe it's the tusks? lol

Hey ... we are in a Dragon Break, so theoretically we are both before, after and simultaneous with other happenings.

Sorry if spelling is incorrect, but the underground dwellers in Skyrim that were ugly clearly had a culture, style of armor, etc.....I always wondered if the Dwemer possibly cursed themselves (or angered the Daedra) somehow and became the Falmer.

No, I would e-mail Todd Howard and ask him to send Matt Firor an immediate cease and desist order instead. Lore is there for a reason.

Falmer making an appearance in ESO would make perfect sense lore-wise. Falmer as a playable race in ESO would make absolutely no sense lore-wise.

My standards of beauty might be a little skewed, but I feel like I have been able to make attractive characters with every race but Imperial.

Their eyes are just too damned close together.

Even set to max eye separation, they all look like Glenn Close.

I most certainly would! They would likely be my main choice, would probably play as a female Snow Elve Sorcerer :') it is a shame they are non playable! Unlike the Dwarves they are yet to become extinct despite their small numbers.

My favorite playable is the Khajit.I don't really know why, but I have always gravitated toward them. Maybe it's because I'm an animal person, haha (Khajit are cat-people, get it? :D ... ... ... Sorry, awful pun...). My favorite non-playable is easily the Snow Elves because c'mon, they're Snow Elves!

My least favorite is a tie between Imperials and Orcs. Orc I don't much like because I've never been much of a tank so I never had reasons for the perks, and I'm not a fan of the walrus tusks. Imperials, I don't have a solid reason for. I just gained a pretty big dislike after Skyrim.

Fair points! :) the snow elves are indeed cool. You don't need to have an exact reason for dislike of any of the raves, even if it's just a gut instinct or the tone of their voice haha!

Snow Elves are for all extents and purposes extinct by the time of ESO - the two remaining ones are hidden and won't be (re-)discovered until 200 years into the 4th age.

Imperials all the way. Natural born leaders like myself. Also very humanoid like and easily identifiable.

Least favourite: High Elves. Bland and boring.

Khajiit due to their culture. Interestingly I'm not much of a cat person, but I've grown with their cat-like appearance since.

Their culture is very weird and alien and fun to learn about, I just wish more of it were shown in-game, most of the strangest albeit most interesting things about the Khajiit are only ever mentioned in books, like the various forms of the Khajiit - how the form they grow to is determined under the phase of the moons the were born on; that they all look like baby housecats at birth but grow rapidly during their first week to their form the moons gave them, which could vary widely, from the alfiq - which pretty much looks like a housecat, to the giant Senche-rahts which are said to be twice the size of altmer and pretty much look like cat-gorilla-mammoths, to the types we see in the games and many more. They're all intelligent, too, regardless of form.

Not sure who my least favorite would be, hmm...nah, can't think of any of them.

Every game made me like a different race for different reasons.
In Morrowind it was Wood Elves mainly for they're control animal spell (I was young and thought it was a cool ability).
In Oblivion it was Khajiits for there agility and acrobatics (running on foot as fast or faster than a horse... Amazing).
In Skyrim it was Breton I really don't know why I enjoyed them so much, but I did.
In ESO I'm enjoying my Dunmer the most thus far. I think being a rare Dark elf in the Dominion makes it more fun.

If I had to pick an overall favourite purely by their lore I would have to go with:
    1. Wood Elves. They're cannibals. Vegetarians that eat only meat instead of plants, so a Meatetarian?
    2. Dunmer. They commited genocide, put Argonians in chains, and Got cursed by a Daedric Prince. In my opinion the darkest lore out of the races and I think that's why it's more appealing distinctly diffrent than the others races lore.
    3. Redguards. They're the only human like race that isn't related the the others, Imperials, Nords and Bretons are all cousins in a sense. They are known for being great warriors from the moment they arrived in Tamriel and proved their abilities, being the only reason Bretons could defeat the Orcs in High Rock and defending Hammerfell from the Thalmor single handedly.

As far as I was aware ESO is set before Morrowind? And there are still a small colony of Snow Elves that no longer live in Tamriel, with only a few remaining within Tamriel? The others having fled. Am I not correct in this thinking?

Imperial is the best race for overall massive bonus to health and stamina and a chance on hit to heal yourself.

    Altmer for spell casters

The worst is still the poor Argonians poor buggers really need a full Overhaul. :(

All other races fall somewhere in the middle

Except for the two snow elves encountered in Dawnguard, and the ones corrupted into the Falmer, Snow Elves were extinct by the time of ESO.
