Something people should be reminded of is that the toon handing in the writ doesn't actually have to craft the dish, as long as it is crafted it will count...so use your main prov to make the stuff and hand 6 or 8 to all your alts... only takes 6 inventory spaces, but you won't have to visit a fire again for 2 weeks... then when they pick up the writ they will be sent immediately to hand it in.. no fuss...

I have done 24 writs (2 characters maxed provisioning on all passives but extra time on drinks) and only received part 5 and that was a day after patch once they fixed the recipe viewing bug.

OK, so I'm now up to:
75 Tier VI writs
25 Tier IV writs
7 fragments

I've also done a double handful of Tier I writs on my second account, but no fragments there, and the chances of ever getting a fragment on a Tier I writ are probably so slim that they might as well be nil anyway.

So 14 at RI6, 12 at RI5 (reset skills and popped the RI5 up to RI6), 26 at RI4, 13 at RI2 and 39 at RI1. Truthfully I only think the RI5 and RI 6 have much chance anyway .

The funniest thing to me though, was being in Craglorn and reading a Conversation on Friday about how irritating it was that they still hadn't gotten a fragment of parchment or any roe. I told them what I thought the odd were (1 in 100) and that they were expecting too much to get good RNG when the numbers were low and writs had barely broken double digits. .

I gave up and just bought the pieces of the recipe over the last couple of days.

So now I am able to make the Psijic Ambrosia.. so if any one is on the NA server.. I will make it with your mats. In game name is the same as forum. I am an evening player 6pm est.

I do ask for a reasonable tip though for my time and due to sending mail fees. 3k to make or 1 potion (not both). That includes however many you want me to make and I have Master Provisioner so 1 set of ingredients yields 4 pots.

so if you do 1 character per day then you have (let's call it 5% chance) to get a fragment on a particular day. However if you do 8 or 16 or 24 or 32 characters then you have that many 5% chances. For instance with the 4 accounts that i might do writs on ... usually only two and about 14 turn ins i get about .75 frags per day. In the last 5 days I have found 3 frags that isn't bad odds for 15 min of effort a day.

I guess a non RNG version you could get awarded inspiration and use inspiration to purchase items at a vendor then it is just a chugging away till you get it kinda thing .... another experience bar...that is unappealing to me though plus then when eso+ gets 10% bonus inspiration people will whine that it is p2w

Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to log on at all yesterday, so I missed a day's worth of writs, but since I got a fragment this morning anyway, no big deal. Also, I don't actually need any more fragments... Not going to stop me from doing writs though, because I was doing them before fragments even existed!

What (or who) did you sacrifice to the RNG gods for that to happen?

I have done writs about 20+ times with multible chars. I got a fragment on my first writ when it came out, and I haven't gotten any since.

I did the writs on 5 v14 chars with 50 in provisioning, and 1 v7 char also 50 in provisioning but only got skillpoints for tier 1 recipes.

My apologies. I wake up early and sacrifice a guar to Boethiat at sunrise. Then i do my writs. Doing with six VR characters at max provision level might also affect, but i trust my faith to Boethiat.
