Would You Buy A Flying Mount If They Were To Come To ESO

Flying Mounts = Crowns Spent = ZOS Make More Money

I would argue that the money ZOS would make from the crowns spent would be overshadowed by the money invested in:

    - Re structuring every zone
    - Re structuring player navigation to allow for Z-axis movement (even wow had this prior their flying mounts since they had underwater navigation)

and the original question was would you buy if zoz added it not would you unsubscribe / uninstall / wouldn't let this happen / this breaks lore.
If a person feels strongly enough about this that they would unsubscribe or uninstall if this happened, then obviously they wouldn't buy it. If a person is posting here saying that it breaks lore, then odds are they wouldn't buy it for that same reason (I fall into this category).

All the people saying "No" and then adding comments about what a bad idea adding flying mounts would be are answering the poll question that you asked (no, they wouldn't buy it) and then explaining why they feel that way.

^ This. If flying mounts came in then I would be unsubbed and uninstalled within the day. So "no", I would not buy one if it was brought into the game.

I would buy a flying pet. Especially one with a 'perch on shoulder' option
Well now, that's another story... Just think of all the jokes that could be made about whether that parrot on your shoulder is dead, or just pining for the fjords...
    "THIS. IS AN EX. PARROT."

    Glorious.

On-topic, nty. I don't think the people who are saying they'd get a flying mount are taking into consideration all the bugs this would introduce. Just imagine flying along, minding your own business, and somehow you abruptly spawn under the map. Or you get dismounted and plummet to your death. Or you get stuck in a tree or building. Or you get stuck in an invisible wall. Or you ascend/descend for no reason at all and therefore have to deal with erratic flight that might get you killed if you descend too fast and end up rendezvousing with the ground.

And of course there'd be non-flying bugs introduced as well. Perhaps your riding skill would bug out and you'd lose percentage off skills, or couldn't feed your mounts daily. Maybe you couldn't mind at all.

Just...pls no. There are enough glitches and bugs without trying to introduce something as potentially game-breaking (PvP-wise) as legit flying mounts. Things that can hover like netches or wraiths? That's cool, but nothing that goes more than a foot or two off the ground. Basically make it an aesthetic instead of a feature, ensures all mounts remain equal.

Stands-Against-Death: Argonian Magplar Healer - Crafter
Krisiel: Redguard Stamsorc DPS - Literally crazy Werewolf, no like legit insane. She nuts

Niralae Elsinal: Altmer Stamsorc DPS - Young Altmer with way too much Magicka
Sarah Lacroix: Breton Magsorc DPS - Fledgling Vampire who drinks too much water
Slondor: Nord Tankblade - TESified verson of Slenderman
Marius Vastino: Imperial <insert role here> - Sarah's apathetic sire who likes to monologue
Delthor Rellenar: Dunmer Magknight DPS - Sarah's ex who's a certified psychopath
Lirawyn Calatare: Altmer Magplar Healer - Traveling performer and bard who's 101% vanilla bean
Gondryn Beldeau: Breton Tankplar - Sarah's Mages Guild mentor and certified badass old person
Gwendolyn Jenelle: Breton Magplar Healer - Friendly healer with a coffee addiction
Soliril Larethian- Altmer Magblade DPS - Blind alchemist who uses animals to see and brews plagues in his spare time
Tevril Rallenar: Dunmer Stamcro DPS - Delthor's "special" younger brother who raises small animals as friends

I'd use it if they were released, sure. If they're anything like WoW's, they'll be much, MUCH faster, AND enable me to skip a whole lot of fights or go over obnoxious hills. I usually fly close to the ground so I don't miss scenery.

...but its probably still a better idea not to introduce them. They'd either ban them in Cyrodil/new areas to force ground exploration (making you miss their speed/convenience), or world PvP (just wanderin' around) would cease to exist.

I honestly still believe ZOS cares about the integrity of ESO. Sure, they're toeing the line with things like fire horses and XP pots... but it IS a game that needs to make money.

The fact that they haven't budged about things like the Auction House makes me believe they do have lines they won't cross and I just hope flying mounts is behind that line. The fact that their zones would have to pretty much be redesigned helps with that, of course.

Lore preservation is just a silly argument against flying mounts, because it's already part of established lore (see examples above.)

ZOS would sell flying mounts if they could, regardless of how we feel. This group is about making money not advancing lore. If things: like class imbalance, year long bugs, server lag and dishonesty haven't caused you to quit...I don't understand how flying mounts could be the last straw?

If there would be flying mounts it would just make everything ZoS promoted pointless.

They built the game so there are tons of little things in the world, you could be questing then get side tracked because you see something cool to the side, which could lead to another questing area. It's also fun to run to each point of interest/cave in each zone, if there are flying mounts you could just skip everything ZoS worked on.

not only that, in pvp you could fly over keep walls? no thanks.

I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.
