    He is correct. Zenimax stated these will be the last Balancing changes they will put out for the next few (several) months, so they need to balance things properly now. Later patches will include bug fixes and DLC will include new content, nore-balancing of classes, weapons, etc.

    This is NOT CORRECT. There will be bug and balance patches between now and console release. The only thing they said is no content patches between now and consoles and have specifically mentioned bug and balance fixes will continue. Hopefully your just misinterpreting and not being malicious with the misinformation.

    Actually, you are the one misinformed. Zenimax has declared in more than one occasion that the balance changes on 1.6 are final, as in there will be no further rebalance after that patch goes to Live. There will still be bug fixes though and I never said they'd stop those.

    Then I guess you'll have no problem referencing your multiple sources. I await. Because it didn't happen. You would like everyone on the forum to believe that with the impending release of TU on March 17th and consoles on
    June 9th both of which will determine the longevity of the game, that after this week come oblivion or high water they are done with balance tweaks on the single largest MMO overhaul in history. Perhaps too much time has been spent in the Shivering Isles with Uncle Sheo

    When asked asked about updates between 1.6 and console launch, Matt Firor said:

    The problem I see is, if sorcerers are not meant to have a stamina alternative and good stamina abilities, we should be the best spell casters. We are not. We are currently disputing for worse Magicka class in the game as well as stamina.

    Looking at the complete picture, NB and DK should not have a viable Magicka option then, because they are meant to be melee fighters and bow users. Only Templar get both of course, because someone invented such a thing as cleric in another game in the past.

    An easy fix would be to get rid off the distinction of Magicka and Stamina, each class gets only a single resource pool and class specific skills on the weapons. Then ESO would finally be more like the MMOs in the past and easier to understand for everyone.

    But the original design allowed viable stamina builds for sorcerers and spell wielding DKs. I don't know why they're breaking that design, but maybe somone "old-school" took over the design department at ZOS.

    Oh, don't tease me. I wish there were no plans to implement a form of PvP in the PvE areas, but have no doubt that you'll be getting your wish eventually and then I'll have to deal all of those tiresome griefers. *sigh*

    Is there any real playable content on the horizon beside the small part of the justice system and some uncertain comment about the first dlc (high wrothgar) coming out well after the console launch? I bet it will be super hard to gain champion points till september-october after that zenimax will buff the cp gain so the new players can catch up to us. While we have nothing new to do until then

    Right now we don't know anything about upcoming content.

    We know they are working on Murkmire, IC, Orsinium and a trazillion other things, maybe they are working on rescuing the world from climate change, I don't know and I begin to think that they don't know it, too. We don't get news, we don't get details, we get NOTHING about upcoming content. That's quite funny when you think about the only content they added was Craglorn, that's 6 months old now.

    Have they abandoned ship? Do they still have developers to push content? Because all I hear is no we can't do new content we focus on console launch which is a slap in the face on its own but kind of a sad statement when your team is so shrunken down that you have to abandon all planned content. They planed to release console shortly after pc with subscription and a 6 week update schedule I can only imagine how their team was shrunken down from this point to now. I fear that we will not see imperial city spellcrafting or the pvp part of justice system because the people aren't available anymore. I fear that all we will see are cash shop items and some new zones with reused graphics and no new mechanics. As far as I can tell 1.6 has in endgame situation some major balancing issues and some problems more suitable for a new beta then a game in its second year I hope they have at least some people left who can fix it and are not just planing to get rid of the endgame crowd

    Why did our Live 1.5.7 characters disappear? I was going to test some more things out but I don't want to create a new one then grind gold and AP to get gear.

    When you have become marked as KOS, your only option is to run for your life and lay low until your Bounty level decreases. Any Guards you encounter while you are KOS will kill you, seize all stolen items from your inventory and deduct whatever gold you are currently carrying from your Bounty.

    If you don't have enough gold to pay your entire Bounty, the Guard will take whatever you have on you and deduct it from your total Bounty, leaving the balance unpaid. Gold kept in Tamriel's banks cannot be taken by Guards.


    I went from MURDERER, Bounty 21 gold to {Shrug}, Bounty 21 gold. Which then goes against what it says in the Help.

    And from Guards:
    When you engage in criminal activity, you gain Bounty. Bounty is tracked on the Bounty Meter. The red portion decays quickly, while the white portion decays slowly.

    Depending on the level of your Bounty, an alerted Guard will either accost you and demand payment, or they will attack you. If a Guard attacks you, the Guard won't stop until you are dead. Fleeing from the Guard or hiding in and Outlaw Refuge are your only options.

    If you pay your Bounty to a Guard or a Guard kills you, all the stolen items in your inventory are lost, along with the gold you owe for your Bounty. If you don't have enough gold to clear your Bounty, the Guard takes all the gold you're carrying and deducts it from your bounty.


    There is no explanation in the F1 Help as to what all the different status levels are that you can get when you're living in Crime. No explanation on when you're Notorious, Disreputable, and what are the other ones? It doesn't say anywhere in the UI options either what you are. But yes, that's probably coming with someone's Add-On.

    Also, twice now in the F1 Help it says that when the guard catches you on a low bounty, all they'll do is deduct the bounty gold and he'll take all stolen items in your possession. I found yesterday I had to pay for those stolen items. In the end I had a 3 gold Bounty, about 10 stolen items and 6,400 gold on me, when I approached a guard. After that I had no stolen items on me, and only 2,400 gold.

    We're on a puff-puff-give rotation between NA and EU for character copies. We are currently on the EU characters.

    A. Unless you one-shot an NPC, you will accrue both a bounty and heat even if you kill "all the witnesses" - a necessity in an MMO. Otherwise you could murder all inhabitants of a house, take all their worldly possessions and have no repercussions. The economy would inflate massively and instantly. There needs to be a gold sink to the system - hence the "telepathic" bounties.

    B. Perhaps. If your heat (which decays quickly) barely put you into a KOS state, then you could just as quickly degrade into simply wanted almost instantly.

    C. Bounty degrades at an extremely slow pace compared to heat. You can go through all three stages of wanted-ness without a bounty change simply by your heat decreasing.

    D. The UI in the lower right tells you everything you need to know.Bounty is the white stripe, heat is the red strip. The combination of the two (they stack) is your wanted level. The "wheel" is divided into thirds. Each third represents a different wanted level. It might not be explained (I'm not sure) but it's all there.

    E. If this indeed occur, I suggest a bug report.

    It's a mew system and many do not fully understand the bounty, heat, wanted levels mechanic. May I recommend the video below at 1 hour 2 minutes 10 seconds.

    My max magicka seems around 3 -4 k less then i could achieve in 1.63 with my sorc is this correct @ZOS_GinaBruno

    No, this is pretty serious not only me noticed this but NIghtblades Fear and the morph with two shadows(DOUBLE SUMMON SHADE MORPH) with dmg reduction is way OP, pretty much this guy without those shadows takes normal damage, and when he turns it on he gets like 0 dmg, 0 dmg and he is not even tank plus he spams fear.So this needs to be evaluated, if not expect giant Nightblade parody if it makes to live servers. @ZOS I think this is not intended, correct?

    No, this is pretty serious not only me noticed this but NIghtblades Fear and the morph with two shadows(DOUBLE SUMMON SHADE MORPH) with dmg reduction is way OP, pretty much this guy without those shadows takes normal damage, and when he turns it on he gets like 0 dmg, 0 dmg and he is not even tank plus he spams fear.So this needs to be evaluated, if not expect giant Nightblade parody if it makes to live servers. @ZOS I think this is not intended, correct?

    you also have to take in consideration stamina based NBs that use fear. stamina based NBs can only use fear a few times; they sure as heck can't "spam it" in fact any NB that deliberately spams fear is going to find themselves out of mana pretty quick, whether they use cost reductions or not. and how does someone using shades get zero damage? plz tell me exactly how this happens.

    0 dmg either a glitch or Vob+annulment? double shades are nearly useless skill, minor debuff, rofl, and damage compared to fart

    No its not guys, this is serious, anyone will tell you that, it has to be fixed bug or exploit dont care.
    That broken damage reduction morph with two shadows, plus some armor sets and spells with 1h and shield has insane dmg reduction plus vigor as self heal and plus fear.It has to be fixed.

    On the german Forum they've said, 1.6 goes live in the first week of March. They've said, the reason for this is the sound bug.
    So there could be another 2 weeks of testing. Which sounds very reasonable in my opinion. I also think, this gives the team time to implement Sorcerer love ? :blush:

    How much longer, @ZOS !? DX It has been several months! I've become tremendously prepared for 1.6 in all this time, I have 7 of my 8 characters to at least VR1, and have several thousand hide scraps built up to refine once 1.6 once it finally goes live, in case there actually honestly -will- be even a slightly better chance of it yielding more quality improvement materials to make up for the hirelings nerf...I am thoroughly tired of waiting now... ._.

    Last we heard on the US forums here (From the beloved Gina) was that the 1.6 was to be applied the last week of Feb. Since the PTS just got 1.6(4) on Saturday and Monday is normal maintenance day, it seems a little premature to get 1.6 This week (unless there's going to be a "off normal schedule window).

    I'd like to see the patch get any final wrinkles squished prior to being applied to production, but also would like it applied prior to the March 17th flood of new folks, tight window there.

    I know it's asking or ZOS friends to work the crystal ball yet again, but; Any idea if we will see 1.6 on production the last week of Feb, or early March?

    It is supposed to be an optional system. Just turn it off. I don't believe you could commit crimes, but currently the consequences are too trivial to not be exploited.

    did you have the same ammount of cp? cp increases the base stat(magica/stam/health) of the tree its put into. it seems to be percent based off how your invest your attributes.
