No, I meant lunch. And I was referring to urgency, not difficulty, though I suspect it shouldn't be too hard to find. If you can reproduce a bug and know it was introduced in the latest patch, that narrows things down a lot.

It's only PTS not live luckily. And well since it's at least somewhat related to CP and only 3600 points put in. I have to say that it might be bit hard to find what combination there is causing insane increase on damage. But if someone really can say that maybe putting that 100 points into that specific star causes it to roll over or something that will cause the damage just by looking at brawler damage then nice.

I suspect it will take some time to find out what is actually causing something like that if it is even just one nominator, can be multiple ones together causing it.

It is 'only PTS', but considering that PTS (aka the user acceptance test for ESO) is the last pre-production phase of development it is troubling that major, gamebreaking flaws like this are making it through dev AND QA AND a regression test suite that has been been developed for over a year.

As dev you try to play the game as designed, players in the other hand "sometimes" tries to play the game as it was not designed and find the flaws.

Oh, but it IS how it works in MMOs. It is also WHY systems like PTS exist, so players can break the system and it can be fixed before going live. Some players have a knack for finding ways to exploit the system. Nice ones just /bug it. Not so nice ones exploit it until someone cries foul. then crow about it to the world, saying "Its not an exploit, its WAI". How about resetting everyones CP to 70, or 100 or 150, or even 500. Something reasonable.

lol no it isnt. No professional development team in any industry at any level conducts testing by saying "This probably works..." It may seem like that when several people are incompetent and gamebreaking bugs leak out of internal builds into public builds, but in order to develop and release any complex software suite it requires methodical dev/qa cycles as well as regression testing. This is just a case that ZOS's internal people screwed the pooch, violently.

it is going to take time for them to find all the bugs with this kind of open end system, i am not suprised someone found a bug that they have not. this is basically square 1 again. remember launch all the out of control combos people found, well expect to see that again.

No, it's not. PTS is the last place testing occurs. Internal testing is meant to eliminate major, easily reproducible bugs before the new build makes it to live. PTS is meant to uncover fringe bugs that are much more rare and more difficult to reproduce consistently. Yes, sometimes major bugs get by internal QA but people were abusing this bug within hours of the PTS going up, something like this should not have made it to the PTS stage of testing.

Haha non software professionals are very forgiving I guess. I see this as extreme amateur hour (also the fact that it was found in minutes but hasnt been fixed yet is embarassing). If I broke one of my company's applications this bad I'd be working overnight to fix/test/build/deploy a new version to UAT.

People really do look for these exploits. In the first few months of GW2, I was in Vent, running a dungeon with a guy who bragged that his ENTIRE GUILD, their only goal was to find and abuse exploits in games. We killed four mobs, got to a crack in the landscape and ran outside the world until we go to the final boss, skipping 4 mini-bosses and hundreds of trash mobs. He claimed they all shared their exploits with their guild, and with any others who grouped with them, until the exploit was fixed.

Good to know. Thanks for the update. Once the bug is pinpointed can we expect any insight into what is causing it? I'm curious if it's related to the champion system, buffs not going away or something else.

Correct me if i'm wrong : in live, when you cast Momentum, you get a weapon power buff. If you then swap bars to another weapon, this buff disappear, and it comes back when you swap back to your 2H bar. Maybe it's something related to that mechanic.

Or it's just plain and simple buff stacking, since witnesses were also talking about War Horn...

Yeah, I know, that's why I think it may be it. Since they changed it, there's also a change they made a mistake while doing it.
But even if that's the case I wonder why it hasn't appeared before since this change was already here last week.
