Yeah, it looks like they did this to get more people to do the stupid crafting writs. And the writs make no sense for max level toons/crafters. They are doing their best to drive the original player base from the game.
Iv not got but 1 temp alloy in the last month from refining ..not much more from hirelings. I think its already bugged. Im not into quit /cry post...but i may be done

That being said, I can understand why someone with more than a few alts who are dedicated to being hireling mules would be upset by this change.
they want you to play the game, instead of just logging in 7 alts to get mail. Go figure.

That was very reasonable. What isn't reasonable is pulling the reward after everyone already invested the gold/time....

Omg why? :-(
Which is fine for blacksmithing, clothing, and woodworking. In the long run, it will probably mean the same or more gold boosters from hirelings, as you always get stuff to refine from them.KrayzieBone_88 wrote: »"Significantly decreased the chance to receive gold boosters, gold aspect runes and purple provisioning ingredients from hireling mails."

Thank god I didn't spend countless hours leveling up alts for the sole purpose of having a bunch of hirelings receiving purples/golds...oh wait I did do that....
Yeah, I don't get the reasoning behind this one. I realize they want to give people incentive to do the writs, but why not just boost the return on those? Hirelings didn't give too many in the first place, at all.
I suspect this is going to be one that is changed after a bevy of negative feedback.
Hopping on board for this. I also spent a good deal of time and gold leveling various crafts on five characters for the hireling return. I don't get gold items every day but I thought the reward was worth the effort. I don't have a lot of time to play and it fit well with my schedule. Clearly I should've spent my limited play time grinding one of them to VR 14 instead.KrayzieBone_88 wrote: »There was nothing unfair or exploitable in the previous system. This, This, This.
If you want more people doing Writs, raise the rewards for Writs.
It's not like hirelings are showering people with gold items as it stands now.
People (myself included) put a ton of time & effort into leveling characters specifically for hireling mail. That's a lot of time, effort & gold flushed down the toilet for what appears to be no good reason.

The crafting writs are boring and a huge waste of end game materials
The consumables writs are still worth doing once you're at max level in the craft, because the returns outweigh what you put into them. The equipment writs, OTOH, aren't worth doing anymore once you've maxed out the craft and aren't getting valuable inspiration from them. You put more in materials into them than you get out of them.Yeah, I don't get the reasoning behind this one. Agreed.
Did I give the impression that I liked them? Not being rude, just asking. People are misunderstanding me all over the place today. Lol

Craglorn Enchanter's Survey III? My VR5 can collect that one by himself, but it's always a challenge...OrangeTheCat wrote: »The reason why I stopped doing writs is because the ones I wanted to do were being placed next to a hive of wasps. Has that changed?
