Why does this game insist on totally breaking the lore?

Ayrenn specifically does NOT hate humans though. I'd say she is the most tolerant and diplomatic out of all the leaders.

Personal Opinion: Time travel ruins stories which are not explicitly about time travel.

Were I in the middle ages, I would still find time travel significantly more implausible than putting a man on the moon.

Though both would be fairly implausible from that perspective.

I respect your opinion and agree with you in a few cases outside of TES. However, in this case, Time Travel is a small part of the Dream and it is a piece that helps add to the complexity of TES.

But yeah.....MK does seem to have a terminator fetish...ie: Pelinal Whitestrake & Queen Ayrenn/KINMUME

Apparently everyone else seems to understand this perfectly, so I apologize for my ignorance, but what in the world does Alduin's Wall have to do with the Soulburst?

    Nothing.

He's just saying that Alduin's wall makes Nostradamus-like references to major events in the future and the Soulburst isn't one of them, therefore by that logic, the Soulburst can't happen.

That's my interpretation at least and it's flawed logic.

Lore aside, Cyrodil would be way more fun if it was a jungle.

TL;DR (6 pages of comments), but the OP - nice work! But it could happens just because Molag Bal - god of schemes. All this prophesy was his plan. About towers - I thought that because of the Varen Molag Bal can use anchors (ritual that weakened the boundaries between Nirn and Oblivion). So towers protect Nirn, but if treaty was violated, daedric prince can act freely.
Cropsford - any source when it was/will be founded?
Cyrodiill - hey, noone build a town exactly in a jungle(ok, maybe some races doing this, but IMO Ayleid was powerfull enough to not build city in jungle). I think they clean up a little.
It was once the center of an Ayleid city

well the nice thing this is all fantasy and not reality that means anything goes. Just look at Star Wars extended universe, pretty much everything after Return of the Jedi is gone. So in respects anything can be changed with a few strokes of the keys and a new story to create whatever you want.
When asked what he would do for a Klondike bar. Grand Moff Tarkin said "why I would blow up Alderaan."

My thoughts on the Soul burst and why it is possible is that Molag is trying to pull Tamriel into his realm. So far as I can tell Molag never walks on Tamriel in this game. Dagon on the other hand invaded Tamriel with his Daedric minions and at the end of Oblivion actually walked through the Imperial City.
I'm not a lore buff so please correct me if I am wrong, but I think that those differences are why Molag Bal did not need to deactivate the towers as Mehrunes Dagon did.
Of course I see many other lore inconsistencies in this game but I am not put off by them. I would however love to see a more in depth writeup of how lore from ESO (minus the whole lore book thing cause let's face it, they are there for people to collect and level the mages guild) contradicts lore from the previous games. Perhaps the buffs over at the official forums might delve into that someday.
One last thing I do remember is hearing Michael Kirkbride mention that he thought the lore was very well done in ESO. He didn't speak to specifics but there you have it. I heard this on The Selectives Podcast which you can find here: http://youtu.be/w2I2hIgmRGE
