Which pet is "best" is purely a matter of opinion, however I think most people would agree when I say this-

Dogs are among the most wanted pets that aren't already in the game. The fact that this great thing we all asked for is finally here and most of us, in favor of the "newbies", don't have access to it, is baffling.

Also their subscribers know the only thing you have to do all day is keep posting on how everyone is whining about the dog. We want our dog, our badges, and our nifty steam overlay. I kinda role play so I try not to run my horse over everyone's pets and sometimes that is difficult. I like the monkey the best of the IE pets, but that wolfhound is nice. I used to own one.

Really? That is exactly what all the complaints are about! I would expect a mod to read before posting in a thread.

While on the subject of Steam exclusives, It's also complete bull sh*t that NOW ESO is available on Steam so late comers get exclusive access to the Steam community, guides etc. that those of us who have been with you from the start don't get. And no, adding a non Steam game to the Steam library is not the same at all.

You should be trying to CREATE community, not separate communities based on when the game was purchased. Steam community groups are awesome and while yes, we can still view them etc, it feels like being on the outside looking in.

Long story short, Steam keys and pets dogs plox!
And don't forget to include a game breaking bug or two as well!

I have zero problem with promotional goodies. Hey, you're buying the game from Steam this weekend? Here's a free pet to play with! Awesome. I have a problem with EXCLUSIVITY. I'd love to see the dog (agreed, best pet in the game) given to loyal players as well. Or sold for in-game gold. Or sold for real money. I'd even be fine if people can buy the beta monkey I have.

TESO would crumble without a player base. Our words should matter.

If this was GW2 where i paid only once , this would even make a little sense , but considering zen wants people to keep paying month after month , pising their current players seems stupid.

Except that Zeni never seems to come BACK to a thread they've already commented on. Too often I'll see one green mod post on page 1, and then 10 more pages of complaints and other issues, to which are paid absolutely no attention.

I'm actually kind of curious who's bright idea it was to do this in the first place, I mean everyone begs for a dog who in gods name thought "lets give it to the new guys only " just lol...whoevers idea that was....just lol.

I would BUY the key on steam if only I could MERGE it with my current account and get 30 days free and the dog, but there is no merge option so no existing player can get the dog at the moment.

Ya, I have talked about this a few times before. The team that comes up with new content like Craglorn the champion system etc they are brilliant I love their ideas, but the marketing and other departments just wow....they need to get their crap together....like in a box and leave the company lol....but that's unrealistic. I just wish they had made some better decisions. The game is wonderful and is looking to get even better, but stuff like this? It can't happen -.-

I like my crab, it's part of the reason I upgraded. But I want the dog too. I collect pets and want the whole menagerie.

Many games have loyalty incentives. ESO has to be the first I've ever heard of to have loyalty disintensives.

I will say that I don't use the vanity pet....but, the hound I would use it is in fact pretty cool to me. And, them giving it to Steam imperial edition people and not to those who purchased it is well kind of crap to me. The only reason I say this is because lol it's a dang cool vanity pet out of them all that were offered for free.

So in a way I am upset about it (maybe scratching the surface just barely of being angry about it) but, it is probably like buying a cell phone plan or cable plan when you get a good offer. Then six months later an even better offer is given but you are stuck with what you got at the time. *shrugs shoulders* what are you going to do, as the game progresses and they offer new incentives for people to purchase the deluxe game well doesn't mean that we should automatically get it to.

Maybe Zenni will offer it to purchase for a couple of bucks or something, but also look at it this way soon they are adding new vanity pets in game so we can just as easily purchase them with in game gold.

I don't really think its an issue to get foaming mouth angry or anything but its okay to feel a bit upset. Lets just be cool about it and in the end its about having fun on ESO.

I see your point. The problem is that it's exclusive. To borrow your example: the better offer is a really snazzy phone case that you get for free with the phone, that nobody else can get. And all we really want is a way to spend $5 to get that phone case too.

For the pet: I have no problem with people getting a free wolfhound pet. I'd just like a way to get it too. I'll pay for it, I don't expect it to be given to me for nothing. I get the idea of a promotion. I just don't think it should be entirely exclusive.

I refuse your fun O.O. Kidding this is probably a good way to look at it. I think most of what everyone here wants right now is some sort of sign or confirmation from someone other then some middleman forum mod that the dog will at least be available in the cash shop or something, or in game. Right now we got nada but a mod that doesn't know anymore then we do.
