I'm not usually one to be picky when it comes to other players and their gear. Unless I'm playing a p2w game (and I'm not one to buy p2w items) I honestly couldn't care less about what gear or items another player is using. I had a moment today while me and a small group were dealing with a Dolmen where I noticed someone had the wolfhound and my thought was "omg, go away you m'er f'er" and I ignored that player for the entire fight... I did watch him die a couple times. :(

Granted, my patience levels are at an all time low atm, dealing with a lot of out-of-game annoyances right now, but after the whole event I couldn't help but feel bad for that guy. I've never ignored a player (excluding trolls, griefers, etc), especially one who was actively trying. Hell, I've had to use google translate before because the person I was playing with didn't speak English at all, but when I saw that wolfhound running around me all I could hear was Zenimax shouting "**** YOU!" while they wave both middle fingers at me and what little patience I had left went out the window.

This is a total burn to those who supported the game from the beginning. Those of us who preordered were assured we would not miss any of the content linked to the imperial edition. That was the reasoning behind its price being so high. YET, here we are not even a year afterward with this. Way to burn your target audience. Why not just send those with at least pre order editions a dog? It wouldn't kill anyone to do so, and the steam people wouldn't be hurt by it either. They aren't buying the game just for the dog.

However, I won't let a digital pet that does nothing useful, get me all upset, claim to quit, and curse a game I enjoy, or the devolpers. Look no company is ever going to make 100% of its customers happy, other pets will come, i would be willing to bet other dogs included.

It's not that big of a deal...

Yeah, until they release a DLC that you have to pay for.

Honestly, now everything they said is suspect. They've proven that what they said meant nothing and that they are willing to do anything at any time.

That's the problem with online games, they think the game belongs to them. They can wait until they hit some personal cash goal, then change it to whatever they want, or sell it off to whomever they want, then all of our investments, are worthless, whereas their investments pay back value.

It would be like that certain gym that promised to offer me half-price membership at the end of a 3 year contract, suddenly sells their business at that 3 year mark.

So, one more company that doesn't keep its promises.

Seriously! I get a weird dinosaur with freakin' crabs he got from the monkey? These guys get an awesome dog at a discounted price? How about rewarding all the loyal players who paid sub fees from day one for a game that was broken more than it was fixed and paid the $100 for the Imp edition? What do I care anyways I play a Khajiit so I would probably dress the dog like a mailman and chase his sorry butt all over Reapers March just because This One hates dogs and wishes the Two Moons to make a delicious dish of Fortified Wolfhound Teriyaki! >:)

The promotion to get the dog is already over , so only if zen decided to offer it again we would be able to get it anyway.

But they never cared in the first place , there is noway they are going to do this now heh :P.

In the end , zen does not give a damm about player current players all that matters is getting more fools to buy the game so they can cash in some more.

This whole thing has left me hating Zen. They say they want us play our way. In Skyrim I had dogs (and dragon age II). Been supporting since beta, own the physical collection... only to watch new players get the dog I want without a fair option to get.

First, we were promised before the game was even released that we would have access to all content in the game. This was their entire reason for justifying the subscription model, and if they keep doing things like this, it negates their entire argument.

I keep seeing people throw this around. Where's the evidence of this claim? it's funny that people keep claiming this and no it doesn't negate anything but do keep pretending that it does, it's kind of funny in a tragic sort of way.

Even if that was true, you do have access to all content in game, so your argument falls apart before it ever gets out of the gate.

Also, you are not being denied anything. You want the dog? go buy the imperial edition on steam. No one is preventing you from getting it.

Anything more than that, they'd accidentally hold the company accountable to something they can't actually accomplish themselves.

Won't touch the first part, but you are wrong about the dog. The dog was limited time (not the issue) on steam for NEW accounts. At that point there was no real way to get the dog for existing players. Now there is no way to get the dog at all. Meanwhile, there are some reported players that did play beta so they had a pre-established account who still managed to get the steam one added to that or vice versa. And this isn't me saying go buy a beta key and apply it now, since that also works.

The end result is long time players got shafted a pet completely. New players can and have been able to acquire all the pets thus far.

its okay for me to just buy the game again on steam since linking current account on steam probably aint going to happen , and running this game natively on steam is essential for me ( the game time tracking / steam trading card )

( i bet it will even be later than getting the mac version available on steam )
( and i am starting to regret not not having to bought the steam imperial edition because i don't know my girlfriend would love this game that much :o so i just got her the basic version :\ )

Apparently "entire game" is what they say it is , not the whole content.

We can start making bets , next will they add classes? Or maybe dungeons? Maybe regions? Would be nice to see they try skill trees.

    Only to new players.

Cause you know , it is not part of the "entire game" unless they say it is and if they are getting more people to buy the game , then is all fine :P.
