While I wouldn't mind the dog, I wasn't one of the ones arguing for it. you must be confused.
Well laddie, back earlier in this mighty saga, you said about not caring about the dog etc, and saying people who were ranting about it as being dumb, shrugs, I just thought it funny to give you the dog, but regardless of all this, things are getting a bit heated and that, so lets just remember and respect we all have opinions on the game and relax, kill each other on pvp or something with a beer:P

I would still take the dog. It's the complaining that's dumb. It doesn't mean I wouldn't want a free pet.
I don't know why you are telling me to relax, I'm pretty much the only person not engaging in personal attacks sooo....
I don't care about the dog, I just want to activate my already owned game on Steam. Adding it as a "non-steam game" is a cheap alternative by Zenimax.

I would love to have that thing, 100$ was just too much.

In this case, that item just so happens to be one of the major items that players were asking for since beta, which Zenimax was kind enough to flaunt in our faces while telling us veteran players that we will never get the chance to get it because they don't care about the players who supported them through all the bad media and continued to play the game even when it was unplayable, all they care about is reeling in more "suckers".
I call this game even, however, because I cost them two possible subscriptions today. Two of the guys I work with asked me about the game, stating that they were thinking about playing. I stated in an earlier post that I wasn't going to stand by Zenimax anymore when I saw people bashing them, so when my coworkers asked about all the bugs and such, I didn't. Zenimax wants to give the finger to all the players who have stood by them and supported them so, I just cost them $60 per coworker plus the monthly subscriptions.
I've said it before, I'll say it again. No. Just no. That's not how it should be handled.
If you don't think the game itself is good enough, then fine. But I really would like to see this game succeed. It's slowly getting better. There's lots of room for improvement in the game itself, but in my opinion it's generally moving in the right direction.
I didn't bash the game, I didn't down talk it, I simply didn't defend Zenimax against all the bad rep they've earned since ESO's launch by giving the usual "it's a new mmo, you can't expect it to be perfect", or "it's slowly getting better" defense. I'm not going to defend a company who blatantly punishes me for being a loyal and supportive customer.
If you're regarding my toe off with smeeprocket, there's actually a reason for the chaos. Though I know to any outside ears I'm rubbing off as very abrasive in the whole debate when me and smeep get going, I can sincerely promise that there's a method to the madness, and that I hold no ill will toward smeeprocket.
