Nope , it is not what they are doing.
They said it will be open for us to acquire later , all that may mean is EVERYONE can acquire it later.
So the steam users still got ALL the pets and we are out of it.
The fact does not change , new players can get everything , old players can go *** themselves if they dont like it.
There is the matter of taste also , in which i really dont think a white wolf is something we can compare to the brown dog , but that is personal.

For the last time:
New players do not have official access to the Explorer's Pack. You can complain until you're blue in the face about people selling the codes independently, but the fact is that ZO no longer offers Explorer's Pack bonuses with any order of the game.
And it's not a white wolf vs. a brown dog. It's a white wolfhound vs. a brown wolfhound. Same dog. Same model. Just differently colored hair.

Mate , for all the time you spend on these threads you should have already noticed the mutltiple posts of people saying how they bought the code and got zen to activate it , even on the steam account.
And , the issue remains , it does not matter , the dogs is for everyone for only for those us here already , so yeah , we got the shaft and atleast i dont really take it well when that happens to me , even more when im a customer.

By getting it on steam, they get a particular pet... by pre-ordering, and getting a physical copy, others got particular pets.

Nope.
I am just on the first page. I have to jump in with, this is wrong.
This is what Steam gets.
- The Imperial Edition includes:
- Play as an Imperial: Become an Imperial and play in any Alliance. Gain unique bonuses, crafting styles, gear, and more.
- Imperial White Horse: Summon this Imperial mount and journey through Tamriel with speed.
- Craft Imperial Gear: Immediate access to craft in the Imperial style on any Imperial Character.
- Mudcrab Vanity Pet: Explore Tamriel with mudcrab pet scuttling along by your side.
- Rings of Mara: Complete the Ritual of Mara with a friend and receive and experience bonus when you play together.
- Transform Into Imperial Gear: Transform any gear you own into Imperial styled gear.
It's the same stuff in the other digital imperial editions... And they get an "exclusive" pet.

Let me explain one more time:
You can buy the code from an independent seller. That does not mean that the code is still officially available. ZO didn't invalidate the old Explorer's Pack codes, and they have no control over what people do with their existing pre-order bonuses. However, they no longer offer the code with any new purchase. It isn't officially available.
So you have something other people can no longer get without visiting an independent re-seller. Why that matters, I don't know. But you have it.
Yeah - and you should have heard all the QQ when it happened - which is my point.tgiordano92ub17_ESO wrote: »You can still get the monkey online, you cannot get the dog.
It's literally just a re color....tgiordano92ub17_ESO wrote: »People keep saying "oh they are giving us a brown dog, so shut up!" A lot of us do not want just the brown one and like to collect every pet in games like this..
This whole argument could be thrown in with the QQ from people who were not in beta wanting the pet monkey too. Put them both in game, the new steam-hound and the monkey and watch what happens then... some people seem to just never be happy....
Man they can add the dog into the store, the WHITE one and if they want a brown then they can add that IF THEY NEED TO which they dont..the argument is to have the white one..btw how do i get the dwemer spider?

Um...nobody said it has to be free. There were people willing to buy the full Imperial Edition again in the hopes that they could get the code for the dog and add it to their existing account. Needless to say, they were disappointed.txfeinbergsub17_ESO wrote: »indytims_ESO wrote: »Offering the same pet, of a different color, seems like a very fair compromise.
You can't compromise with these people. It HAS to be the white one, it HAS to be free and they want it NOW.
