I agree with you it would be great to have no classes and freedom.theres already flavors of the month and OP classes it happens all the time...(WoW)
people already reroll and play the OP classes i've seen plenty of posts confirming it on here (and um EVERY MMO IN EXISTENCE)
either way they are going to be balancing OP skills, theres really no difference between having classes and no classes in this aspect and if it does make it slightly easier, so what? we PAY THEM, this is their JOB their WORK it is not FUN FUN EASY NO STRESS TIME
all your doing is limiting player char variety by keeping classes
But you will have to find a mmo without pvp.
*bump* let the players decide i say

The forum does not mean all of the players. I think it's mostly pissed off players and fans here. I don't think Zenimax actually gives a damn about any of these polls. Zenimax needs to release their own official polls and let us vote on features and issues that are important to the game.

That is exactly what they should do I was about to comment about that , if they made their own polls on the official website like many MMO's do it would be great and plenty of people would see it

i agree but as a player who wants to see this done i don't have many options and maybe if it got big enough they may take notice (i'm not getting my hopes but still it doesn't hurt to be optimistic) i believe they should totally have their own polls and post them on player emails and their FB page etc to gain notice and get a more accurate poll

So how would we get them to do this? Create a poll on whether Zenimax should crate their own polls? Lol. We can't PM them. Maybe write a letter? Call them? I'd even be happy with surveys like they had in beta. We wouldn't get to see statistics, but it would be better than some random long ass feedback thread that's dedicated to one topic only.
"I want MORE classes in the future" is missing. I'd vote for that.
I don't understand how removing classes would add more variety to the game. Unless you mean to say just make all of the class skill lines available to everyone? I'm not sure.
Anyway - to those complaining about balance. I am growing tired of this word.

Life isn't balanced. Video games aren't either. The only way you are going to have a perfect balance between classes is if you gave everyone the exact same skills and attributes - which would make for an extremely boring game.
Either you are having fun playing your class or you aren't. That's what matters. Everyone doesn't need to have the same DPS for example else the game is broken or this class or that class is OP. I have seen this mentality obliterate the gameplay on so many games other games that I am becoming frustrated with it.
I understand certain classes may have real problems. And pointing them out or asking the developers to fix them is perfectly understandable. But please stop with this balance nonsense. Because the whole point of different classes is to provide imbalances between different characters so the player can use these strengths to their advantage.

Stat increase, based on three most used/highest skill-lines, should be static, however, otherwise we'd end up with a way too big gap between players and some seriously gimped characters.

Yes take out the classes and make everything readily available for anyone to pick and choose as they please and eventually maybe add more skill lines in the future

It's an interesting idea.
Perhaps they could give each class their own guild and allow players to join them in order to make those skill lines available.

That would be a cool idea. You'd be limited to five in game guilds and five player guilds. That way, you couldn't grab all the passives available.

This. So much this.
It won't happen. It shouldn't happen. The system's fine the way it is, there is already so much freedom. We don't need anymore.

I don't agree on the limit of 5 in game guilds limit lol then you're still limited
Do you want to know what would happen in the classless system? Read:
1. find the most effective build
2. post it somewhere
3. let everyone respec to it
4. complain about everyone using one OP build
5. build gets nerfed to the ground
6. jump back to point 1
The best thing they can do is to leave classes that WORK (DK and largerly Sorc) and BUFF UP / REWORK those that do NOT work. Instead of taking the Blizzard's way of nerfing the working class because there is one broken class that performs worse than standard.
In short, UPGRADE TO A STANDARD, DON'T NERF TILL EVERYONE IS AS WEAK AS THE WEAKEST ONE.
Also...
When making fixes, don't break 10 other things... game's quality is slowly decaying every patch and stealth patch (aka maintenance)
