In the past 24hrs the server restarted. that is the fix for 301

The NA server has been restarted the EU not...So Day 3 for me of my "I can't log into the game I pay for" experience.

So after I sent in the requested DxDiag log - lo and behold it didn't reveal any useful info, what a surprise.... - I received an official letter from support that they work on the issue and hope to have a fix for it soon...

BUT if I read it further they still say that up to the moment they're STILL NOT SURE whether it's connection or server/account related!!!!!

So my choices - as they advised me - are:

1. Try to play on the NA server but ofc they can't transfer my characters...let me quote them: "(sorry!)" Not that this would be an option since I have 8 chars and love my guild mates with whom I played together in other games as well. So it's a no go for me. Beside the fact that this is no way a treatment for this issue. I've experienced the difference between EU and US servers (distance - latecy wise) in other games so no thank you.

2. Try to spam the login server with login attempts. Might take 15-20 tries. I stopped at around 30...
...and then I asked myself what the hell are they think about me? I'm not a typing extension for my keyboard and their login system. Give me a remedy, hotfix, patch (or just restart that stupid server ASAP) but don't write me such options.

What will be the next if I couldn't log into the NA server?
"If you want to play, make sure you have your own dedicated server for the game?"

I really hope this comes to an end very, very quickly.

Day 3 for me too. It seems very odd that a bug that's stopping people playing is still round after weeks. It really ought to be at the top of the priority list and at the very least they ought to be able to be able to manipulate whatever little flag it is in the system (that gets reset when they run maintenance) while it is running. Cowboys!

OK, I've had this issue since Sunday.

I logged a callback request... one was received in less than 10 minutes.

We ran through several checks to correct this issue, all of which faild, so i too sent in DXDiag infor as well as the output from the game's own diagnostic tool.

I just got in following this piece of advice from CS:

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Support Team. I am sorry to hear that you are still unable to login to the European server without receiving error 301. We are working on a more permanent solution but in the mean time we have found a temporary workaround that has worked for many customers. The steps for the workaround are as follows:
Click on The Elder Scrolls Online shortcut and launch the game
Type in your login name
Type in your password
Press Enter
Immediately hit Cancel or hit Escape
Repeat steps 1-5 as quickly as possible, to speed up the process you may choose "Remeber Account Name",copy your password (Ctrl + C) and paste your password (Ctrl + V)
I know this may seem frustrating but do not give up! Some customers have had to try logging in more than 20 times before they were able to successfully login.

If you are still unable to login after trying the steps above multiple times please reply back and I will be glad to further assist you.

I cannot login on European server, but I have no problem login on North American. It is an error on their side. Nothing you can do about it.

Forget about my last post. Sure I got to the character screen, but after choosing character and starting to load the game. A few minutes later I got kicked out to the log in-screen again.

"An unknown error has occurred".

So I have had this issue for the weekend and I was upset since I was paying for the game and I couldn't play it. I tried all methods from scans on my PC to power cycling the router/modem to no avail until I decided to look in my router port forwarding. I set this up awhile back to ensure this wouldn't happen but somehow it did.

My IP address of my PC was different than when I set up the port forwarding. As soon as I made sure the ports were open for my PC I was able to login like nothing was wrong.

So maybe you guys should check to see if the ports are open for ESO. Most MMOs use the 24000-24999 range. I figured

I'd drop this here for future issues with this problem.

I was able to log in too. Good that I started my long-long discussion with Support with please restart the server. Now I wait for my compensation....I honestly hope next time we only meet in-game, or in a completely different thread.

I hope you guys who got back on EU server after reset were credited extra game play for time lost. I did, but I did ask (politely) for it.

I logged off today 5:30 AM, went to school, I'm back now and I can't play the game again. 301 and 315 error.

I hope fix with "ESC" will let me login. For now, I'm rebooting my PC beucase Minion can't start too and can't connect to server and get addons data.

Will edit/make post when I succesfully login.

EDIT:
Okay, I tried a lot:

- ipconfig /flushdns
- login again and again (I had a lot errors - 108, 200, 301, 315, unknown errors)
- sometimes I was able to login to character menu, but after it unknown error
- I restarted PC and restarted modem, nothing changed.

Checked transfered data by ESO process and I sent some data but didn't received any data. Something like my IP was added to black list. So I plugged my phone and logged on mobile internet - and POOF, it worked!

If you have this error, unplug your LAN cable from PC, plug your phone to PC and tether internet. After it refresh your DNS (cmd -> ipconfig /flushdns). It worked for me and I'm able to play.

EDIT2:
And again, I tried to use my main internet and I couldn't. It's strange. It's like my IP is on black list or something... This is just stupid. What the hell is going on?

EDIT3:
Oh, here is my fix:
I finally logged in game by trying to login (Requesting login). If error - close client and open again. If you finally get announcements - you are probably able to login.

So I can finally play on my main internet but I'm scared of it to happen again...

Now I can't even open website on my main internet, also can't use forum on my main internet.

Well, I said it wrong. I can't open ESO website and ESO forum. But now it works. Sounds very weird.

But who knows what is going on with their servers. Hopefully maintenance fix it.

I'm very sorry to hear that you were seeing 301 errors, but I am very glad that it seems to have been fixed! I understand that you are requesting some game time to make up for the 301 error. I've encountered similar situations in the past with other MMO's I've played so I do understand your concern! At this time we are unable to provide game time as compensation for this issue. I get this constantly. It USED to be called "error <<>> " but now has a fancy number. The only fix I have found for this is rebooting my whole PC. It locks up my entire computer.
