doing arenas 2*200. As I understand trials also give 200.

I actually did the math on this in another thread. If you log in every day for 90 days (and happen to not complete any of the other challenges), you do not even earn enough Tome Points to unlock the second free page in the tome. You're limited to the first page. Which is five rewards.

Whereas in the old system, if you logged in for 90 days, you'd get 90 free rewards. You may not have used all of them... but the odds of getting something you can use or like are much higher receiving 90 rewards vs. 5!

If, through completing other challenges, you are able to unlock all of the pages in the Tome, which are 10 pages without paying anything, 5 rewards per page x 10 gives you a possible 50 rewards per month, instead of 90.

I have not tried to do any kind of comparison for the value of the rewards, since it's going to vary by season and it used to vary by month, but I do think ZOS tried to give us more desirable free rewards.

You don't need to complete it. Once a day, when you log in, you claim the 15 tome points. The 99 makes sure that the task won't run out before the season ends.

I think that under the hood, the game considers lvl 50 CP 160 characters as lvl 66 characters, because of the pre-One-Tamriel implementation of the system (like Resistances/Crit Resistances are still tied to number 66). If this is the case, it shouldn't be too hard to raise the level cap to 66 (not the prettiest number, but better than lvl 50 CP 160) by converting the first 160 CPs into levels, like Veteran Points were previously converted to CPs.

The disparity in points awarded is a problem with the new system, yeah. Especially when you only have a small number of re-rolls and it's all rng based. I tried to roll better ones, but it actually got worse and I got stuck with a selection of very low point / boring chores.

If they want to keep the points totals different based on the difficulty of the tasks, I get that... but please give us more rolls, or some choices (like being able to specifically roll for easy or difficult tasks; also re-rolled tasks shouldn't immediately appear again). Players who complete all their tasks should not randomly finish the week with a huge point difference.

I want to like the personality, but it looks ridiculous holding a greatsword like that while you have a different weapon equipped - particularly a staff or a bow that clips through the sword. Unfortunately with that key flaw, I am likely to only use it rarely for RP (with my other weapons unequipped), or with a weapon style like gloam-bound that hides your equipped weapons when sheathed. It's really a shame.

At risk of drifting a bit off topic, I am also going to mention that multiple items were bugged in the most recent set of crown crates. More care needs to be put into these paid items, particularly if they intend to increase the role of cosmetics in the funding of eso.

The reason automatically giving people CP160 is problematic is because what is the purpose of existing materials and gear tiers between CP10-140 then? Retroactively removing all the materials etc for those tiers would cause a lot of issues I'd imagine, not to mention confusion for people somehow coming across these materials.

Its actually very much easier programming wise to consolidate the lower tier CP mats into a single tier than it would be to start messing with the leveling system as a whole.

Mostly because its less of a hassle, and they have done it before with soul gems and repair kits.

As to increasing levels, no leave it at 50. Going from cp 10 to 160 doesn't take all that long as is and once its done you never have to do it again. On top of that, any new character you create benefits directly from cp as it can be applied immediately.

Edit: also due to the nature of cp, cp 10 - 140 mats are actually pretty rare in comparison to the rest of the mats in game. There are less of them than even level 40 mats because of how cp really works and how they interact with the crafting skill trees. Its easier to nuke those mats and convert them to new ones than anything else.

It would be hard to imagine what rewards would entice me to buy it or even to try and understand properly what's going on. I think it is incredibly badly done, it looks like a money-grab to me, reinforced by the incredible arrogance of the stream presenters. So no ESO+, no battlepass, and omg... how am I going to cope with all these currencies other than just by ignoring them?

I'm kinda old-fashioned I guess. I want to know what I'm getting for my money. I'll buy a new zone. I'll buy a new story. But meaningless rewards? I'm not a 13-year old boy, I have a very different set of priorities.
